CHAPTER 17: CHAPTER 17: RONNIE SAVES SOMEONE

Sebastian Blackwood looked at her coldly, not moving.

Ivy Kensington didn’t argue with him and just said, "Anyway, I’m no longer uncomfortable. Do as you please, Mr. Blackwood."

This damn woman.

She seemed so obedient before, who knew she had such a sharp tongue!

Sebastian gritted his teeth, and finally took the potion from Ivy’s hand.

The stomach that was just about to explode gradually calmed down, and a hint of dark light flashed in Sebastian’s eyes.

"Since it’s fine now, let’s find a way to get out."

Seeing his face gradually return to normal, Ivy got up and walked to the door, intending to find something to pry it open, only to have the door suddenly yanked open from the outside.

Owen Rhodes stood at the door, anxiously saying, "Master Blackwood, an unexpected situation, my mistake."

He had come up to remind them seeing that Sebastian had not come down for so long, not expecting the door to be locked from the outside.

Sebastian took a deep breath and strode out. As he passed Ivy, he said coldly, "If today’s incident reaches Dahlia’s ears, you’ll be in trouble."

With that, he walked away with large strides.

As she watched his retreating figure, the tension in Ivy’s mind relaxed.

Luckily, she didn’t really get involved with Sebastian...

When she got home, Ivy was completely exhausted and collapsed onto the bed, not wanting to move at all.

Seeing this, Ronnie obediently poured her some water, "Mommy, are you hungry?"

Ivy hadn’t eaten anything since the afternoon, and was so hungry her stomach had gone numb.

Hearing Ronnie’s words, she quickly sat up and softly asked, "Is Ronnie hungry? Mommy will make you something to eat."

"No, no," Ronnie, with her chubby little hand, pushed Ivy back onto the bed, saying in her childish voice, "Mommy, you just stay lying down. Ronnie can order takeaway. When it arrives, I’ll call you to get up and eat."

Usually, when Ivy was too busy with her classes, she would order takeaway for Ronnie, and the little one had learned by watching her.

"Okay, thank you, Ronnie."

Ivy stroked her daughter’s little face and suddenly felt that all the grievances she suffered tonight were worth it...

Ivy lay for a while, feeling overwhelmingly tired, and soon fell into a deep sleep.

The takeaway arrived quickly.

However, the delivery person seemed to be a novice, and Ivy’s home was deep in a small alley, making it hard to find.

Ronnie scratched her face and sighed, hopping off the bed with her short little legs, consoling, "Uncle, wait outside for me, I’m coming right away."

After closing the door, Ronnie went out with the phone.

As she crossed to the other side of the street, Ronnie saw many people gathered by the roadside, pointing and gesturing.

Ronnie loved to join in the fun, and seeing this, she squeezed her way through.

"Make way, what happened?"

Ronnie, being small, quickly made her way in, discovering an elderly woman lying in the middle of the road, her face pale, as if she had suddenly fallen ill.

But with all the scams around, no one dared to help.

Ronnie, however, rushed over and anxiously asked, "Granny, what’s wrong?"

The elderly woman had some awareness left, pointing towards her pocket.

Ronnie was clever and understood immediately—there was medicine inside.

Following the direction the old lady pointed, Ronnie quickly found a bottle of heart disease medication and hurriedly administered it to her.

Then, she used her phone to call 120, softly comforting the old lady, "Don’t worry, Granny, the doctor will be here soon."

After taking the medicine, the old woman recovered a bit and weakly asked Ronnie, "Little girl, what’s your name?"

Ronnie was about to answer when the delivery person called her, and she smacked her head.

Oh no, she forgot about the delivery uncle!

The little one immediately stood up and said with her small mouth, "My name is Ronnie, Granny, you’ll be okay, goodbye!"

Helping others truly made her an endearing little angel!

Ronnie carried the takeaway home, feeling elated inside.

But just as Ronnie had left for half a minute, the old lady suddenly started foaming at the mouth and convulsing!
