CHAPTER 22: CHAPTER 22: RONNIE’S FATHER

Sebastian Blackwood narrowed his eyes but didn’t question it, instead nodding, "Alright."

One hour later.

All the important members of the Blackwood family gathered at the old mansion, waiting for Second Uncle Blackwood to bring out the person who framed the matriarch.

Ivy Kensington was originally not allowed to be present at such an important occasion, but Justin Rhodes found a way to let her stay disguised as a maid serving drinks.

Ivy stood at the back of the meeting room with a tray of tea, her heart tightly clenched.

Would she be able to see Ronnie later?

As soon as everyone was present, Second Uncle Blackwood opened a live stream on the projector, and there was Ronnie!

The little fellow was tied to a chair and appeared unharmed, but his expression was very weary.

Seeing this made Ivy’s heart break. She instinctively wanted to rush to Second Uncle Blackwood to question him, but the moment she took a step, a large hand grabbed her wrist.

It was Sebastian Blackwood.

"Don’t move."

His voice was low and carried a hint of reassurance.

Ivy clenched her hands tightly, finally calming herself after a long while.

"A little girl could frame the matriarch?"

At this moment, someone in the Blackwood family questioned.

Second Uncle Blackwood smiled mysteriously, "Isn’t it precisely a little girl who would most easily let people lower their guard?"

Then, in the live stream, someone started to ask questions.

"Did you switch the medicine for the matriarch?"

Ronnie stared blankly at the camera and, after a few seconds, nodded slowly.

Ivy’s heart was fraught with anxiety; how could Ronnie say that?

"Who instructed you?"

"Daddy..."

As soon as Ronnie answered, the video was turned off.

The members of the Blackwood family expressed their dissatisfaction: "If you can’t find any evidence, don’t waste our time here. The words of a little girl are not credible!"

Seeing the crowd’s displeasure reaching a peak, Second Uncle Blackwood made his last move.

"The words of a little girl are indeed not credible, but... her daddy is Master Blackwood!"

Everyone was shocked. Master Blackwood had a child outside?

Ivy was also taken aback. How could Ronnie’s father be Sebastian Blackwood...

Second Uncle said, "Everyone calm down, I have evidence to prove that this child is indeed Master Blackwood’s."

Sebastian Blackwood remained expressionless, his tall figure reclining on the sofa, casually waiting for Second Uncle’s next move.

Soon, another video played on the projector.

It was the incident at the hospital, where Ronnie was calling Sebastian ’Daddy’ and Sebastian taking her back to the hotel.

Second Uncle added, "Although Sebastian is a member of the Blackwood family, he was raised by his mother’s family and doesn’t have deep feelings for the Blackwood family, especially towards the matriarch. It wouldn’t be out of character for him to tamper with her medication."

The family members immediately cast suspicious glances towards Sebastian, but due to his usual authoritative presence, none dared to show their doubts too plainly.

Meanwhile, someone argued, "A video can prove nothing; it can be fabricated."

Second Uncle: "Exactly, a video can be fabricated, which is why I’ve already had the paternity test between Master Blackwood and this girl sent for verification. The results will be out tomorrow!"

Second Uncle sneered inwardly.

As long as he could prove a connection between the girl and Sebastian, the blame for framing the matriarch could be shifted onto Sebastian. Then, the executive position in the Blackwood family would no longer be secure, and it would be his best time to rise!

He discovered that Sebastian had a one-night affair with a woman four years ago at The Grandeur Hotel, and this child’s age happened to match, making it highly possible that she was born from that woman...

Second Uncle was willing to gamble, as long as he could bring Sebastian down from his high position.

Ivy listened to Second Uncle’s words, completely absurd.

How could Ronnie possibly be Sebastian Blackwood’s child!

At this moment, Sebastian, who had stayed silent, finally spoke coldly, "In that case, I’ll wait for tomorrow’s paternity test."

He then turned and left the old mansion.

Seeing this, Justin Rhodes quickly took Ivy with him.

Once outside, he cursed at Second Uncle Blackwood, "What an idiot, how could Ronnie possibly be Uncle’s daughter?"

He looked at Ivy, "Who exactly is the child’s father, Ivy, can you tell me? I can take people to find him, and tomorrow we can completely humiliate Second Uncle Blackwood!"
