CHAPTER 610: CHAPTER 610: MASTER BLACKWOOD ACCUSES IVY KENSINGTON OF MALICE

Claire Crowley’s tearful voice echoed in his ears. Sebastian Blackwood frowned impatiently, his sharp features darkened slightly, "Shut up."

"Bring the medicine."

A few nurses dared not defy Sebastian’s words and quickly handed him the swelling ointment.

Sebastian held the baby in his arms and applied the ointment gently with his fingers onto her swollen little face.

After he finished, he placed the baby back in the cradle and said softly, "I’ll deal with this matter."

With that, he turned and left the ward.

Claire watched him leave, the corners of her mouth curling up into a satisfied smile.

Whether he believes it or not, the injury on the baby’s face could only have been caused by Ivy Kensington!

Evening.

Ivy Kensington was staying over at Sharon Langley’s place tonight.

Ginny and Cody were overjoyed to know she was back home.

Cody kept pestering her to see photos of his sister, and finally, Sharon tweaked his nose and sent him off to bed.

"Whoever falls asleep first gets to see their sister first tomorrow!"

As soon as they heard this, Ginny and Cody scrambled into bed, and soon, the little ones were sound asleep.

Ivy tucked them in and then went out of the room.

She actually had photos of the baby on her phone.

Even though she knew the baby was Claire’s daughter, she couldn’t bring herself to delete them.

She couldn’t hold any resentment towards the baby; she was just an innocent child, undeserving of being caught up in adult grievances.

When Cody pestered her for the baby’s photos tonight, Ivy found herself staring blankly at the pictures.

Would her own daughter be as endearing as this baby?

Seeing Ivy lost in thought, Sharon guessed she was thinking about her daughter and said, "Ivy, you’ll definitely see your baby soon. Get some rest."

Ivy nodded, turned off her phone, and went to bed.

Half asleep, she heard the doorbell ring. Her room was close to the door, and to prevent the sound from waking Sharon and the kids, Ivy quickly got out of bed and opened the door.

As she opened it, Sebastian Blackwood’s tall figure stood at the entrance.

Her well-shaped brows furrowed, and instinctively, she wanted to shut the door.

However, Sebastian moved faster; his long leg extended forward first, and soon his broad body managed to push its way inside.

"What do you want?"

Ivy glared at him angrily.

Sebastian’s dark gaze lowered to meet hers, and he softly asked, "Did you take people to hit Claire Crowley and the baby this afternoon?"

Hearing Claire’s name, Ivy instinctively thought he was here to defend Claire, momentarily overlooking the mention of the baby.

She folded her arms, looked at him mockingly, "Yeah, I hit her. So now you’re feeling sorry for her and ready to hit back for her?"

Upon hearing her admission, Sebastian’s eyes turned cold with displeasure, and his voice dropped in temperature.

"The baby is just over two months old, and you could hit her too?"

The accusation was clear in his tone.

Ivy was momentarily stunned, then incredulously responded, "You think I hit the baby too?"

Seeing her disbelief, Sebastian, with one hand in his pocket, took out his phone and opened the photo album to show the pictures of the baby’s injuries.

"You hitting Claire is your business; I won’t interfere. But for you to hit a two-month-old baby, your cruelty really surprises me."

The man’s voice was low and accusatory, and Ivy’s heart turned cold.

How vicious must he think she is to believe she would hit a two-month-old child?

Whether disappointed or not, Ivy, slightly angered, said, "I didn’t! I would never hit the baby!"
