One Piece: Investing In Whitebeard At The Start.
Chapter 181: 181: The Golem.
"Heretic Golem!"
Vane's voice echoed as a new monstrous entity emerged from his summoning. The Heretic Golem—an entity that could only be summoned with the Rinnegan—towered like a lifeless, merciless juggernaut. Unlike the Nine-Tails with its sentient fury, this creature was pure destruction incarnate.
Slamming his palm into the ground, the earth cracked apart violently. A massive wooden hand burst forth, followed by a second. The ground trembled with each emergence.
"What's going on?!"
"Is this another one of that monster kid's powers?"
"How many damn abilities does he even have?!"
Even Garp and the others halted, eyes wide in disbelief. Yet again, Vane revealed a power none had seen before.
A monstrous roar shattered the sky. A terrifying head surged from beneath the soil, connected to the earlier giant arms. The ground quaked further as the full form of the Heretic Golem emerged.
Standing at nearly fifty meters tall, the wooden giant bellowed—a sound that chilled the spines of even the most hardened marines. Even those pursuing the fleeing slaves stumbled back, trembling. Facing gods in battle, small soldiers knew they were better off frozen in place.
"Another one?! How many terrifying powers does this guy have?!"
Sengoku and Kong, who were still locked in battle with the Nine-Tails, paused, as did Kaido, Akainu, and Aokiji.
"This is just as bad as that damn fox with all the tails!"
Their expressions hardened. Despite Sengoku and Kong being among the strongest, the Nine-Tails still held its ground. And now, this Heretic Golem appeared, applying even more pressure to an already disastrous battlefield.
The Heretic Golem, eyeless and wild, roared into the sky like a beast that had completely lost its mind.
"I'm done fighting you," Vane announced.
Standing atop the Golem's head, he gazed down upon Garp and the others, who were frozen with dread and awe.
"Feel the power of a god!"
Vane's voice boomed across the battlefield.
"You'll fall just like Rocks did! Don't get cocky! Scum like you will share his fate!" someone shouted from below. Her furious voice made Vane chuckle in disdain.
"Rocks?"
Vane tilted his head and smirked.
"He was a failure. But I, I will become the ruler of this world!"
Spreading his arms wide, Vane declared his intention like an oath etched into the sky.
He scanned the battlefield from above—the Celestial Dragons screaming for help, slaves fleeing for their lives, marines chasing them, Kong and Sengoku bleeding in battle with the Nine-Tails, and Kaido pinning down Akainu.
At this moment, it felt like the entire world danced to Vane's tune.
"Soon, everything will be mine."
He muttered to himself.
Suddenly, a slash of white light tore the sky apart, slicing through towering roots of the surrounding forest. From within the tree world, a bald elder climbed out, followed by others.
It was the Five Elders.
"The true master of this place must've awakened by now…"
In the deepest heart of Pangaea Castle, Im resided. With the chaos unfolding in Mariejois, it was inevitable that Im would intervene. After all, the World Government had ruled for 800 years and wouldn't fall without revealing its hidden power. The presence of someone like Doflamingo, who awakened the Conqueror's Haki, proved that others among the Celestial Dragons were no weaklings.
Even if only a tenth of Mariejois had been destroyed so far, the true devastation was still to come.
Vane's gaze swept across the Five Elders before flying straight toward them.
"Heretic Golem, move."
With that simple command, the monstrous puppet stirred, it didn't need Vane's constant input to operate.
"Stop!"
Someone shouted, but she was powerless to stop him. Her clenched teeth and bitter eyes could do nothing.
"We won't get close to that kid anymore…"
Garp growled, then stomped the ground. The sheer force shattered the earth as he launched himself toward the Heretic Golem in a soaring arc.
"Iron Fist!"
With a roar, Garp's right arm bulged as he prepared to strike. His power rivaled that of Douglas Bullet, whose fists could level small islands.
"Roar!"
The Golem roared, swinging its massive hand. The resulting wind pressure alone knocked over soldiers nearby.
BOOM!
Garp's fist collided with the Golem's palm. Though tiny in comparison, his raw strength was undeniable—forcing part of the Golem's wooden hand to cave under the impact.
"We can't just stand here!" Aokiji's voice rang in Kizaru's ear.
In a blink, Aokiji vanished, reappearing near the monster's massive feet.
"[Ice Age!]"
Slamming both palms to the ground, a wave of freezing power exploded outward. The ground turned to ice, creeping up to the Heretic Golem's knees before halting—clearly its limit.
Simultaneously, Kizaru became light, flashing in front of the Golem.
"[Yasakani no Magatama!]"
Hundreds of glowing orbs formed behind him before launching at the Golem's head in a dazzling blitz.
Meanwhile, Garp used Geppo to launch himself at the Golem's chest, landing another island-shattering blow.
BOOOOM…
Yet the beast remained. The punch didn't even dent its torso.
"What is this monster made of?!"
Garp's fists were numb from the impact. The sheer durability of the Golem was unnatural.
Even Kizaru, after watching his light-bomb barrage strike true, saw that the Golem's face was untouched.
"Not even a scratch..."
Kizaru frowned. "Damn, I feel useless."
This thing was a juggernaut—and its controller even more terrifying.
Suddenly, the Golem roared again. Its breath swept forward like a hurricane, forcing Kizaru back several meters.
Thanks to Moonwalk, he barely stabilized.
Then the Golem lifted one massive leg and shattered the ice around it. The left foot followed.
"Roarrr!"
"It broke free?"
Aokiji was visibly stunned.
Before he could react, the Golem's foot came down like a divine hammer—
