One Piece : Kaido Brother
Chapter 156 156
"The Marines truly have no shortage of talent. Admiral-level combatants emerge endlessly. No wonder the Marines serve as the World Government's primary attack dogs, not the CP agencies."
Ganzui steadied himself midair after being flung back, watching Fujitora soar toward them with a sigh.
"You're Fujitora, right? The Gravity Fruit user? That's an incredibly powerful Devil Fruit ability. I've heard you can pull down meteorites floating in space."
Caesar flapped his golden wings, flying back to hover in the air as he grinned at Fujitora.
"Mind giving me a demonstration? I've never seen a meteorite before."
Fujitora's expression remained solemn as he raised his cane sword.
"Since you insist, I shall oblige."
Then, his face hardened.
Purple rings of energy spiraled outward from his cane sword, expanding rapidly as they shot into the sky, vanishing from sight in an instant.
No one interfered.
Everyone present was a powerhouse, unshaken by something as trivial as a meteorite.
Instead, they all looked up at the sky with curiosity.
Caesar tilted his head. "Fujitora, how do you know if there are meteorites outside the atmosphere? You can't just be guessing blindly, right? Or is it…?"
Fujitora offered an awkward smile.
"My Observation Haki's range is… somewhat extensive."
Caesar's eyes widened.
Ganzui, Kaido, and Linlin were no weaklings either.
Every single person present here possessed Observation Haki of the highest caliber.
Observation Haki could be developed in many directions.
For instance, Katakuri's future sight and Redfield's mind-reading were both considered pinnacle achievements in its usefulness.
Even Caesar hadn't mastered future sight or mind-reading, which spoke volumes about the difficulty of honing such abilities.
However, when it came to the range of Observation Haki perception, any one of them could likely sense the movements of an entire island.
Especially Caesar in his Boiling Blood state—if he unleashed his Observation Haki to its limits, he could perceive nearly everything within dozens of kilometers.
If Fujitora's words were true, Caesar couldn't believe that the man could actually sense meteorites beyond the atmosphere and precisely lock onto them with his abilities to pull them down.
Buzzzz!
Caesar's eyes narrowed as he released his full Observation Haki, surging it upward into the sky.
Ten kilometers.
Twenty kilometers.
Thirty kilometers.
Even at the limit of his perception, he couldn't detect any trace of the meteorite.
Caesar looked at Fujitora, a hint of admiration flashing in his eyes, and burst into laughter.
"Bororororo! Fujitora, the sheer range of your Observation Haki perception must be unmatched in this world, hahaha!"
Though this world's atmosphere wasn't absurdly high, it still extended beyond several hundred kilometers.
Fujitora smiled without a word, standing steadily on the ice.
Aramaki glanced at Fujitora, feeling a bit sour inside.
Why does my cool factor keep dropping?
Look at Fujitora—soaring through the air, forcing everyone back with a single sword strike, and now summoning meteorites, casually flexing his Observation Haki prowess.
And what about me? I don't really have any standout achievements.
Aside from bullying weaklings in the New World, I haven't defeated or captured any top-tier fighters.
"Hmm? It's coming."
Kaido's massive dragon eyes reflected the crimson clouds above.
The sky was dyed red, as if a sun were pressing down from behind the clouds.
BOOM!!
Suddenly, under the gaze of everyone present, the sky split open with a thunderous roar.
A gigantic meteorite, wreathed in raging flames, descended with a deafening shriek, hurtling straight towards them!
"This move is pretty strong," Ganzui remarked in awe.
Kaido watched the approaching meteorite without a trace of panic—if anything, he looked like he wanted to take a nap.
Caesar praised, "A casually summoned meteorite like this packs enough power to obliterate an island like Banana Island in one strike."
Then, he turned to Fujitora with a grin.
"Fujitora, if you sneaked into Totto Land and pulled down hundreds or thousands of meteorites from the sky, you could probably wipe out our Beast God Pirates in an instant."
"You jest. Hundreds or thousands of meteorites are far beyond this old man's capabilities. I'd likely drop dead on the spot."
"Hey, hey, hey! The meteorite's about to hit us, and you guys are still chatting?" Ganzui's lips twitched as he stared at them, utterly baffled by their casual conversation.
The mountain-sized meteorite plummeted downward, stirring a violent gale that sent shards of ice scattering across the ground.
Caesar picked his nose and gave Ganzui a sidelong glance.
"Just cut it up, why don't you?"
Ganzui grimaced.
What the fuck?
Who summoned the damn meteorite?
Now that the show's over, you're dumping the cleanup on me?
Ganzui muttered incessantly under his breath as he raised the Seven Stars Sword.
"Haki Infusion! Seven Stars - Alkaid!"
Whoosh!
A blinding, sickly green sword light erupted hundreds of meters long, instantly splitting the sky as it crushed through the falling meteor!
Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!
The enormous sword beam split into hundreds of thread-like sword energies, slicing the mountain-sized meteor into countless fragments in an instant.
BOOM!
The next moment, the Conqueror's Haki contained within the terrifying sword beam detonated the smaller meteor fragments midair.
Crackle, pop.
The sky above everyone's heads erupted into a spectacular shower of fiery sparks.
Fujitora's entirely white eyes turned toward Ganzui, his grip tightening slightly on his cane sword.
'Another strong fighter... The Beast God Pirates grow stronger by the day. This is not a good sign.'
As Fujitora pondered this, he suddenly turned his gaze towards the distant sky.
"Grandpa! Are you crazy? I'm your grandson! Waaah! Damn it, I can't escape! I'm so tired!"
There, Luffy had his rubbery arms wrapped around Beckman, Shanks, and several others, his feet continuously jetting air as he panted heavily while flying towards them.
Around his elongated rubber arms, Beckman was still using his rapier to occasionally slash out sword beams, attempting to hinder the approach of the towering golden Buddha.
"Luffy! I've warned you many times, why won't you listen? If you want adventure, if you want freedom, I can give it to you—you just need to abandon this pirate nonsense. I can guarantee no Marine will ever trouble you again. Why must you insist on being a pirate? Throwing yourself into this dangerous world—people die here every day! Have you forgotten how Ace died?"
Beneath Garp's feet, golden shockwaves exploded as he crossed dozens of meters in a single step, his massive golden palm swatting towards Luffy and the others like they were mere insects.
Sweat poured down Luffy's forehead, his stamina severely depleted.
"Ace... huff... Ace was killed by Akainu, who's standing right behind you, Grandpa!"
BOOM!
A violent golden shockwave erupted, sending Luffy and the others flying.
"No! Ace was killed by Blackbeard! By Whitebeard! By himself! Chasing dreams, seeking answers—why must it always be in the darkness? Why must it always be as a pirate?!"
