Ikki could understand Luffy’s desire to emulate his big brother, Red-Haired Shanks. However, there’s a difference between imitating good qualities and simply putting on an act. Sometimes, posturing comes at a cost.

It’s ironic to claim strength is for protecting companions, not for saving face, especially when Shanks himself is renowned for his "Face-Face Fruit" abilities—his reputation isn’t built on weakness.

Moreover, if you don’t confront those who provoke you, your loved ones might be the next to suffer. Consider Luffy’s childhood: if Shanks had killed the Bandit King Higuma, would anything else have happened? Would Shanks have lost his arm?

Then there’s the recent incident with Bellamy. Luffy chose to endure Bellamy’s insults, an attempt to act "cool." But what were the consequences? His friends—the diamond-faced uncle, the ape, and the orangutan—were severely injured, and their treasures stolen. Clearly, there’s a price for trying to be cool, and an even higher one for merely pretending.

Meanwhile, Nami faced Bellamy "the Hyena." Bellamy’s strength wasn’t remarkable in the first half of the Grand Line; it was quite average. His 55 million Berry bounty stemmed mostly from his cruelty and the collateral damage he caused to innocent civilians in every fight. If he truly possessed great talent, he would have joined Donquixote Doflamingo’s family instead of remaining a mere pirate captain.

At this moment, Bellamy launched himself at Nami, his feet transforming into springs. But Nami calmly waved her Clima-Tact. Just as Bellamy was about to reach her, a sturdy earth wall suddenly erupted from the ground.

Seeing this, Bellamy had no intention of stopping. To him, it was just a wall, easily smashable, with the woman behind it as his true target. Nami, however, anticipated his thoughts, a slight smile playing on her lips.

Bellamy expected to easily break through the earth wall. Instead, he heard a loud "bang!" as his body slammed into it. The wall merely cracked; it didn’t shatter. The kinetic energy of his impact rebounded onto Bellamy. He felt countless bones crack, and his head spun, clearly suffering from a serious concussion.

"Heheheh! I told you, you really have no brains! How dare you hit an iron wall with your body!" Nami’s voice chimed. She waved her Clima-Tact again, and the earth wall began to peel away, revealing over twenty centimeters of iron hidden within.

The iron wall was dented from Bellamy’s impact, a testament to his impressive speed and power. The reason for the concealed iron was simple: Nami had extracted iron elements, then decomposed and reorganized them to form an iron wall, which she then wrapped in a thin layer of earth. It appeared to be a simple earth wall, but it was anything but.

Upon realizing this, Bellamy was so infuriated that he promptly fainted.

Simultaneously, the battle between Vivi and Sarkie concluded. Sarkie wielded a large, curved dog-leg scimitar. Despite his boasts, Sarkie was even weaker than Bellamy. His arrogance was solely due to Bellamy’s backing. Facing Vivi, he expected an easy win, seeing her as just a little girl. However, after engaging her, he quickly realized his mistake.

Vivi wielded the River of Stars. Her first whip wrapped around Sarkie’s dog-leg knife. With a swift pull, the River of Stars twisted the blade, rendering it useless. The second whip wrapped around Sarkies’s waist, then flicked, sending his face crashing into the ground.

Realizing he couldn’t defeat Vivi, Sarkies glanced over at Bellamy, only to see him magnificently unconscious. With Bellamy defeated, Sarkies lost all will to fight and simply feigned unconsciousness himself.

After Nami and Vivi defeated their opponents, they helped Luffy and Zoro, preparing to leave. No one dared block their path, having witnessed Nami and Vivi’s strength.

However, a very rough-looking man then sat down directly in the middle of the road. "You two little girls are quite good," he rumbled, "but... your two partners seem more courageous!"

This was the same man who had argued with Luffy earlier in the tavern. Before Nami could respond, the man spoke again.

"Human dreams will never end!"

"Just set your goal at the top, and if people want to laugh, let them laugh."

"You don’t have to use curse words when you curse, and you don’t have to use your fists to fight."

Just as Marshall D. Teach, also known as Blackbeard, thought his profound act was perfect, a cold voice sounded from behind him.

"Just set your goal at the top. Is that truly what you think, Teach...?"

Hearing that familiar voice, Blackbeard looked back to see Ace staring at him expressionlessly.

"Zehahahahaha! Who did I think it was! It turns out to be Captain Ace!" Blackbeard showed no sign of panic.

Conversely, Luffy and the others were excited to see Ace and Ikki. Luffy immediately lunged at Ace. "I thought you’d appear looking like a seventy-year-old man!"

Ikki:...

Ace:...

Though they both wanted to retort, now wasn’t the time.

"Luffy, you go back first. I still have something to discuss with him!" Ace said, his gaze fixed on Teach.

Luffy glanced at Teach, then turned and led everyone away from Mock Town.

"Ace, do you need help?" Ikki asked.

"No! You can take my mother and leave with them! I’ll settle the score between Teach and me myself!"

Hearing this, Ikki nodded and followed Luffy and the others out of Mock Town.

A large crowd of onlookers remained, having thought the show was over, only for new developments to emerge. Several people stepped out of the crowd: Jesus Burgess, the helmsman of the Blackbeard Pirates; Van Augur, the sniper; Laffitte, the navigator; Doc Q, the ship’s doctor; and his beloved horse, Stronger.

These individuals surrounded Ace, who stood before Teach.

"Captain, should we take action?!" Burgess bellowed, flexing his muscles. He now remembered who the man before him was—the one he’d met on Drum Island. If not for Ace, he wouldn’t have been submerged in the icy sea for so long, nearly dying there.

"Zehahahahaha... don’t worry, let me talk to Captain Ace first!"

"How about it, Captain Ace? I admire you greatly. Do you want to join my crew...?"
