Chapter 353: Reiner vs. Kaido

"Another one talking big. If you can do it, then by all means, give it a try."

Kaido’s expression was arrogant as he swung his spiked club, creating a gust of wind, his spirits high.

He had just finished fighting the trio, and his body was covered in wounds. There were several cuts from Zoro’s slashes alone, and even more bruises from Luffy’s and Sanji’s fists and feet. It was no exaggeration to say he was covered in injuries.

Now, facing Reiner, he had no intention of resting and recovering. To have to wait until he was in peak condition to fight a rookie’s challenge would be too insulting to him.

Not to mention...

Kaido sized up Reiner. The bloodstains on the other’s clothes hadn’t fully dried. His pierced abdomen and arm were just growing new flesh. It wasn’t hard to see that he had also just come from a fight.

Rolling thunder. The two moved at the same time. The giant axe and the spiked club clashed, creating a shower of sparks and an explosive sound wave that, added to the thunder, was deafening.

Kaido gripped the spiked club with both hands and pushed forward forcefully. The two weapons trembled violently and hummed.

Haki, in the form of a dense black lightning, flashed.

Boom!!

A formless, violent force erupted from the axe blade. The atmosphere shattered.

Kaido bore the brunt of it, the tearing sensation of the tremor sweeping through his entire body. The earth behind him shattered!

"It’s been a long time since I’ve felt this... this kind of power. It’s really nostalgic."

Kaido sneered. He resisted the tremor force with all his might, and with a burst of strength from his arms, he sent the battle-axe flying, his feet pivoting as he turned and whipped his tail!

Bang!!

The powerful dragon’s tail whistled through the air, fiercely lashing Reiner’s body and sending him flying.

Kaido sank into a half-squat, and with an explosive force, he pushed off with both feet.

Bang!!

The ground collapsed into a deep pit under this force, and cracks spread out like a spiderweb.

Kaido’s entire person shot out like a cannonball. Coming from behind, he caught up to the rapidly retreating Reiner. His thick arms, covered in dragon scales, raised his spiked club high and chopped down fiercely!

"Raimei Hakke!!"

"Goshu Akujin!!"

Reiner hurriedly summoned the pitch-black heavy shield to protect his front.

Clang!!

The spiked club, wreathed in Haki and purple wild lightning, smashed into the shield, emitting a thunderous and crisp clashing sound.

A fierce wind exploded. Reiner used the force to fly backward, relying on his powerful core strength to adjust his posture in mid-air. Finally, he landed on a stone peak and stopped.

Reiner crouched down like a fully drawn bowstring and, with a mighty exertion, he pushed off.

Bang!! The stone peak instantly collapsed and exploded.

Reiner’s entire body, like an arrow, flew close to the ground. The head-on wind whipped his blond hair back. He gripped his battle-axe with both hands and threw it at Kaido like a boomerang!

Boom!

The powerful reactive force brought the high-speed Reiner to a sudden stop. A wave of air vibrated and spread out in front of him, and the battle-axe’s speed surged again.

The high-speed rotating battle-axe flew straight, whistling through the air. The space in its path was torn open, and in the blink of an eye, it was in front of Kaido, chopping down.

Ding!!

Kaido took a step forward. He gripped his spiked club with both arms and, like hitting a baseball, he smashed it into the battle-axe. The violent tremor force instantly erupted, sending the iron club flying.

Faced with the rapidly charging Reiner, Kaido simply let go and let the spiked club fly into the air. He took a deep breath, puffed out his chest, and leaned his body back, then roared forward!

"Tatsumaki: Raien Ryuken!!" (Demolition Gust: Thunderflame Dragon Twister!!)

Scorching red flames and violent purple lightning were compressed to their limit, and along with a hurricane as sharp as a blade, they converged into a dragon twister and roared out!

The thunderflame dragon twister left nothing in its path, devastating and tearing apart everything as it instantly submerged Reiner!

A wisp of azure flame ignited on the pitch-black heavy shield, and then it disappeared in place. Reiner’s figure walked out from behind it, revealing a sneer:

"An azure dragon that can ride the clouds... it would be most suitable as a mount."

"Hahaha! Black Snake Reiner, I like your arrogance. Now I’m very sure of one thing."

A fierce glint flashed in the depths of Kaido’s eyes, and a corner of his mouth lifted into a sneer:

"That is, you will be in a very miserable state later."

Boom!

Black lightning erupted around his body. The earth beneath Kaido’s feet cracked and spread out. He gripped his spiked club with both hands and swung it behind him, taking a step forward!

Bang!

Kaido’s figure instantly disappeared from his spot!

Reiner’s eyes hardened as he guarded his surroundings, subconsciously gripping the battle-axe he had summoned back to his hand.

Kaido instantly flashed to his side, his eyes ruthless. His iron club, wreathed in lightning, and with formless Haki condensed upon it, swung horizontally with brutal force!

The indestructible pitch-black heavy shield appeared again, blocking the opponent’s attack. At the same time, Reiner quickly swung his axe, chopping at Kaido’s waist!

Boom!!

Two huge impacts simultaneously erupted from the spiked club and the battle-axe. The ground behind Reiner and Kaido collapsed under the load, and numerous stone peaks were completely shattered into sand and stone by the impact, flying out.

The atmosphere cracked like a mirror. The violent impact completely engulfed Kaido, and a tearing pain swept through his entire body!

With a deafening sound, the two foreheads slammed heavily together. Black lightning flashed out from the two of them as the center!

A sharp pain assaulted their temples. Both of them were thrown back by the other’s impact, their minds shaking as if filled with lead!

Reiner and Kaido gritted their teeth and at the same time stopped their backward tilt. Their ten fingers dug in, grasping each other’s arms, their eyes fierce, neither yielding!

Another fierce wind was blasted out, and blood splattered. The two, with ferocious expressions, smashed their heads together again!!

Finally, after one last collision, both Reiner and Kaido could no longer hold on. A sharp pain in their brains almost made them lose consciousness. Both their heads snapped back. Blood flowed from their seven orifices, and their pupils dilated and trembled nonstop.

Their hands went limp. Reiner and Kaido staggered back a few steps and slowly collapsed to the ground.

In the stone forest, the two of them lay on their backs, motionless. A gentle breeze blew away the dust and smoke, bringing a hint of coolness over their bodies.

The bright moon in the sky was reflected in their eyes. Reiner’s vision gradually became clear. He propped himself up with his elbows and slowly sat up.

Opposite him, Kaido propped himself up with a stone pillar and stood up, swaying. He looked at Reiner, who had just sat up, and a corner of his mouth lifted in a sarcastic smile.
