CHAPTER 254: CHAPTER 254: SLIME CROWN, FUSING THE ELEMENTAL HEART

In a blink, the Light-and-Dark Slime split into tens of thousands of copies. Each was about the size of a normal slime, and their strength was even weaker than Johnnie’s.

Thunder rolled. The tribulation clouds churned, showing no sign of weakening.

"Despicable human. You want to use the heavenly tribulation to hurt me? Let’s see if you can survive it yourself." the slime said with a sneer.

Johnnie frowned at the boiling thunderclouds, a bad feeling rising in his chest.

The slime leader had split too many times, and each clone was too weak. They couldn’t block the next tribulation bolt for him.

He tried to suppress his power again to cancel the heavenly tribulation, but it didn’t work.

Looks like he’d have to take it himself.

Crack!

A thicker bolt of tribulation lightning came crashing down.

Johnnie’s face was tense as vast water-element law power gathered around him.

"Water-Curtain Celestial Blossom!"

With a low shout, a huge curtain of water formed overhead, blotting out the sky as it tried to block the lightning.

Boom!

With a roar, the giant water curtain shattered into a raging flood. The bolt was wrapped inside the torrent, which washed over a kilometer around them. Its power was only slightly reduced.

"Not good!" the slime leader cried in panic. The lightning-laced flood covered all of its clones.

These clones were part of its body. If they were destroyed, it would suffer heavy damage.

Whoosh!

In an instant, the flood drowned Johnnie and the slime’s clones. The tribulation’s power was spread out a bit.

But Johnnie still couldn’t bear it. His whole body went numb, a stabbing pain hit his mind, and the next second he was instantly killed by the tribulation.

The system prompts flashed. Johnnie revived where he stood, face pale, coughing up blood again.

His soul power, which had just recovered, took heavy damage once more.

It seemed the more he was struck by the heavenly tribulation, the easier the Lich bloodline fused.

Just now, in that lightning-laced flood, countless weak currents hit him.

When the tribulation clouds dispersed and the sky cleared, the remaining slimes rushed together and reformed the Light-and-Dark Slime.

He was even confident he could kill it head-on now, but to be safe, he summoned the Dark Golden Golem.

But Johnnie wasn’t the one casting it. After using Water-Curtain Celestial Blossom, his Mana points were already empty.

It was the Dark Golden Golem’s skill.

With synced attributes, any power-up for Johnnie or the Dark Golden Golem is shared with the other.

But it didn’t last long. After ten seconds, The Myriad Phenomena ended.

Shaken, the Light-and-Dark Slime snapped, "Human, this isn’t over between us."

It spat out a final threat, then its huge body sprang up and fled toward the mountains and woods.

"Dark Golden Golem, stop it." Johnnie ordered, while guiding the Seven Sword to strike at the Light-and-Dark Slime.

The cost to control the Seven Sword was small—he could recover it in a blink.

The Dark Golden Golem leaped up, cut the slime off, and they grappled.

After the heavy wounds from the heavenly tribulation, its power was greatly reduced. It could no longer threaten the Dark Golden Golem.

Johnnie stayed to the side, seized the chance, and drove the Seven Sword to attack like crazy.

Even if the slime leader darkened its body, it still couldn’t block Johnnie’s flying swords. Each strike dealt hundreds of thousands of true damage.

That damage alone couldn’t kill it, but Johnnie’s trump card was the Seven Sword’s Instant Kill effect.

The Light-and-Dark Slime was in agony. The flying swords gave it a growing sense of dread.

It wanted to run, but it couldn’t shake off the Dark Golden Golem.

Another sword fell. A powerful force swept through, and nearly 100 million Health points were wiped out in an instant.

Its angry voice echoed as the Divine Soul shot deep into the mountains.

Johnnie frowned. He didn’t care about the threat. What bothered him was that killing the Domain couldn’t instantly kill the Divine Soul.

Looks like he needed a way to kill Divine Souls.

Letting that go, Johnnie checked the loot dropped by the Light-and-Dark Slime.

As expected, an Elemental Heart shard dropped.

Johnnie now had three Elemental Heart shards. He could combine them into a complete Elemental Heart, and then he’d be able to practice all elemental powers.

Besides that, there was also a Divine Essence and a piece of gear—a delicate headpiece.

And the elemental fusion he was hoping for didn’t happen either.

"Is my luck really that bad?" Johnnie felt a bit let down.

He knew how strong elemental fusion could be.

The earlier Water-Fire Element Slime and this Light-and-Dark Slime had both fused two very different elements. They were Half-God level, yet they could easily suppress Maiev and Nalorin Sylvia, who were also Half-God powerhouses.

"I should be able to keep refining the Elemental Heart. Not sure if fusion will happen later." Johnnie murmured.

But Elemental Heart shards are rare. It seems only enemies who have fused elements or command multiple elements will drop them.

There should be plenty of Slime groups in the Land of Confusion. Maybe he could keep hunting Slimes to gather more Elemental Heart shards.

Johnnie weighed his options, but saving Cecilia was the top priority now.

"Dark Golden Golem." He turned to it. "Keep refining Slime mucus and boost the other elemental insights."

By slaughtering Slimes, Johnnie had gathered a lot of Slime mucus, including rare types like wind, thunder, ice, light, and darkness.

Now that he had refined the Elemental Heart, he could train all elemental powers, and might even push them all to law-level insight. If so, his strength would soar.

"Understood." the Dark Golden Golem replied, and Johnnie stored it inside the Map of Heaven and Earth.

After a moment’s thought, he also put away the Light-and-Dark Slime’s body. Even though it had been struck by the heavenly tribulation, lost many clones, and was greatly weakened, it was still a Domain-level body. After mechanical modification, it would still be no joke.

"Restore the Intensity of the Soul, then head to Blade King City to save Cecilia." Johnnie said to himself. He had already wasted a lot of time and was worried about her safety.

He could also feel that there would be a fierce battle in Blade King City. Skye could help him deal with Aurora, but he’d have to handle the other Domains himself.

Right now, his main reliance was the godhood heavenly tribulation.

Johnnie clearly felt that as he kept triggering it, the tribulation lightning was getting stronger.

He returned to the Undead monster cave, wiped out the Undead monsters, and restored the Intensity of the Soul and his injuries.
