CHAPTER 110: CHAPTER 110: ETHAN’S BODY

Dolren City, in a luxury hotel room.

Jade, the deputy leader of the [Ghostfang] group, known as [Plague Ghost], dragged a chair over, sat down facing the big floor-to-ceiling window, and crossed one leg over the other.

The visitor was [Grinning Ghost] Skyler. He wore a heavy gas mask and carried two long black cases. In a muffled voice he said, "Vice Leader, Head-Cutter, these are your weapons."

[Plague Ghost] barely reacted. He just moved the index finger of his right hand and said with a smile:

"A gas mask doesn’t help much against disease."

Right away, Skyler felt his tonsils swell fast inside his throat, blocking his airway.

He quickly set the two long black cases on the floor, waved at [Plague Ghost], and shouted:

"No, no, no, sir, can you greet me in some other way? I’ll get these damn tonsils taken out tomorrow!"

[Plague Ghost] smiled. He stood up slowly, drained the glass, then walked over to Skyler and picked up one of the cases.

At once, [Grinning Ghost] Skyler felt his whole body relax. His swollen tonsils went back to normal. He took a few deep breaths and quietly moved to the side.

[Plague Ghost] was one of the most terrifying people in the group. He could control all kinds of diseases and plagues, killing without a trace.

If he wanted to, the whole of Dolren City could become a living hell of sickness and plague.

Thinking of this, Skyler glanced at the little girl, about ten years old, and sighed again.

[Head-Cutter] wasn’t as scary as "Plague Ghost," but Skyler couldn’t ignore how she kept staring straight at his neck.

When he heard "orphanage," Plague Ghost’s heartbeat suddenly sped up. He said decisively:

"Send everyone out. Keep [Prism] under tight watch... Forget it, [Head-Cutter] and I will go ourselves.

"You keep an eye on [Black Sea] and the Faceless division. Act later if you can. Try to lure out more of [Black Sea]’s strong members and catch them all at once."

[Grinning Ghost] Skyler said, "Understood."

After he left the room and stepped into the elevator, he muttered:

"Dolren City’s orphanage, huh? Feels like Deputy Leader [Plague Ghost] and Lady [Head-Cutter] aren’t here for the coming [Calamity], but to find something.

"[Prism], Prophet, orphanage..."

"As Dawnfall Online goes on, the link between the two worlds is getting stronger. Looks like something big is coming. After this mission, I need to raise my world level in Dawnfall Online."

For someone like him, who had awakened a talent, the fastest way to grow stronger was to raise his world level in Dawnfall Online, then train in the real world.

After [Grinning Ghost] left, Plague Ghost Jade and [Head-Cutter] took the elevator down.

"No manners at all. Can’t even wait for me."

In Dolren City’s cancer hospital, in a ward on the tenth floor.

Ethan had just injected the light blue serum and was about to get off the bed.

Just then, the sound of snow sliding outside made him turn his head.

A faint white mist flashed past the window at high speed.

Ethan almost saw it. Seeing nothing unusual, he headed straight to the bathroom.

He didn’t panic. He quickly left the bathroom, locked the door, shut the window, and lay down on the bed.

Soon, Ethan’s breathing and heartbeat stopped.

The calico cat cat that had been lying on the floor suddenly leaped onto the bed. It stretched, lowered its head, pressed close to its paws, and stared wide-eyed at the door of the hospital room.

After another five or six minutes, the calico cat seemed to hear something. It turned and looked back at Ethan on the bed.

It dropped its guard, slowly curled up against Ethan, and closed its eyes.

The moment the calico cat closed its eyes, Ethan’s eyes snapped open.

Hungry. Hungry...

He felt like he’d never eaten in his whole life, and hurried around the room looking for food.

The fridge in the hospital’s deluxe single room still had plenty.

He felt his body, clenched his fists, then slowly let them relax.

By Dawnfall Online’s character data, his strength, speed, and defense were now about the same as a level-10 character.

Ethan still remembered his starting stats:

He took a deep breath, threw a punch, and felt it carefully.

If his current body could be shown in numbers, it should be [Strength]: 10 and [Speed]: 10.

He hadn’t tested [Defense] yet, so he couldn’t tell.

And for [Energy], [Charisma], and [Luck], he also couldn’t get a clear answer.

Thinking about it, Ethan felt that maybe a level-10 character in Dawnfall Online matches the human limit in the real world.

After a short pause, he washed the fruit knife, then pointed it at his arm.
