CHAPTER 132: CHAPTER 132: WHEN WILL YOU LET ME LEAVE THE MOUNTAIN?

That night, after going up and down the mountain, making repeated attempts at jumping off the cliff which failed, and playing mind games with this man for so long, Gu Jiayin was exhausted. She cried herself to sleep.

There were still traces of dried tears on her face, making her look nothing like a woman who had undergone special training.

Sheng Qianchi, however, could not fall asleep.

He lowered his eyes to look at the woman nestled in his arms, gently kissing her lips and cheeks.

Her skin, nurtured from a young age in an affluent family, was exceptionally good, as smooth and white as a peeled egg, tempting him to take a bite.

Sheng Qianchi kissed her lingeringly and gently, afraid of waking her up and provoking another fit of anger.

She slept quietly in his arms, like a porcelain doll, needing his protection.

It wasn’t until later in the night that he found a pajama to put on, tidied her pajamas, and held her close as he slowly closed his eyes.

His handsome face buried in her silky long hair, inhaling the faint, unique fragrance that belonged to her alone, he whispered softly, "I love you, Gu Jiayin."

His voice was a near-tender murmur, unheard by the slumbering woman.

The night fell into a peaceful quietude.

...

The next day, Gu Jiayin woke up to a gentle caress.

Opening her eyes, she saw the man who, last night, almost acted like a beast towards her, now dressed impeccably, sitting by her bedside, gently stroking her cheek.

The defensive mindset suddenly returned, and she sat up abruptly, lowering her head to check herself.

Last night she had been almost completely stripped, yet now she was back in her pajamas.

There was no doubt who had dressed her.

Without thinking, she grabbed the pillow from the bedside and hurled it at the man.

Sheng Qianchi caught the pillow and laughed lowly, "Waking up in such a fury, are you blaming me for not fulfilling your desires last night? If I had known, why did you play hard to get?"

Gu Jiayin no longer wanted to talk to this man because when he acted shamelessly, he was unstoppable.

She glared at him angrily, "When will you take me down the mountain?"

He pinched her chin, lowered his head, and kissed her on the lips, "Get up and have breakfast, then I’ll take you down the mountain."

Gu Jiayin eyed him suspiciously, "Are you really that kind-hearted?"

"I may not be kind-hearted, but I keep my word." Sheng Qianchi carried this wary woman to the balcony, "See for yourself."

Gu Jiayin looked down to see a blue and white helicopter in full view.

Blowing up the road and then traveling by helicopter, flaunting wealth unabashedly.

Sheng Qianchi carried her into the bathroom, put her down, "Wash up, I’ll wait for you in the dining room downstairs."

Only after the bathroom door closed and she was left alone did Gu Jiayin find it hard to believe. Last night, he shamelessly detained her, and now, just a few hours later, he was letting her go so easily.

She had prepared herself for a long battle with him.

A quick shower, changed clothes, and she went downstairs to find the man elegantly eating breakfast by the dining table.

Sister Li was setting the table and, seeing Gu Jiayin, hurried over, scrutinizing her closely.

She had been so worried she hadn’t slept all night.

Last night, Gu Jiayin had gone upstairs so aggressively that she expected an unpredictable war to break out upstairs. She followed to the second floor and stood by the door, yet after some commotion from the room, there was silence.

Having learned from past experiences, she dared not knock on the door.

So she stayed until dawn, only going downstairs when Sheng Qianchi came out and instructed her to prepare breakfast.

Now, looking at Gu Jiayin, she didn’t know what to say because anyone could see what had happened to Gu Jiayin.

Her lips were moist and reddish, and love bites marked her neck.

Clearly, she had been cherished by a man.

Seeing Sister Li’s inscrutable gaze, Gu Jiayin immediately understood the misunderstanding. Just as she was about to explain, Sheng Qianchi’s voice drifted over, "Why are you in a daze? Come and eat."

Sister Li dared not ask more questions, quickly pulled out a chair, and ran to scoop porridge for Gu Jiayin.

Watching Sister Li’s back, Gu Jiayin felt she couldn’t explain, and in frustration, she grabbed an egg and threw it at Sheng Qianchi.

Sheng Qianchi easily caught the egg, his smile wide, "Still daring to offend me? It seems you don’t want to go down the mountain after all."

Just then, Sister Li returned with the porridge, so Gu Jiayin swallowed her retort, picked up a spoon, and fiercely took a bite of porridge with an air of defiance.

To Sister Li, it seemed like they were having a playful lover’s spat.

She couldn’t help but smile, "Jiayin, I cleared a space for you in the back garden. Don’t you love planting flowers? Let’s plant some together later."

She assumed Sheng Qianchi had won Gu Jiayin back; otherwise, why would she be entangled with him all night?

But Gu Jiayin poured cold water on that assumption, "I’m leaving after breakfast, never to return."

"What?" Sister Li was stunned for a few seconds, "Why are you still leaving?"

Last night’s situation was too complicated to explain. Gu Jiayin lowered her head and continued drinking her porridge, saying no more.

On the other hand, Sheng Qianchi raised his head, amused, "Sister Li, this is none of your business now, go on."

"...Oh." Sister Li nodded with difficulty, glanced at Gu Jiayin once, and left with Jiajia.

Thinking about last night, Gu Jiayin felt particularly embarrassed. As soon as Sister Li left, she threw down her spoon, "I’m full. When can your helicopter take off?"

Sheng Qianchi leisurely picked up a newspaper and casually flipped through it, "In such a hurry to leave?"

Gu Jiayin stood up excitedly, "Sheng Qianchi, are you going to go back on your word?"

Sheng Qianchi remained calm, speaking lightly, "Finish your breakfast."

Not wanting to test his patience and fearing he might change his mind, Gu Jiayin sat down and finished the bowl of porridge.

She pulled out a tissue, carefully wiped her mouth, and looked up at the man who remained as serene as ever, "Now can I leave?"

"Yes." Sheng Qianchi finally raised his head, tossing the newspaper aside, "Let’s go."

With that, he got up and left ahead.

Gu Jiayin paused for two seconds before rising to follow.

At the villa’s entrance, Sheng Qianchi naturally reached for Gu Jiayin’s hand, leading her to the helicopter and personally fastening her seatbelt.

Watching him sit down intimately beside her, Gu Jiayin said nothing more.

She knew his company building had a helipad specifically for him, and it wasn’t unusual for this arrogant and flamboyant man to take a helicopter to work.

She thought he was just going to work and would drop her off in the city.

However, when the helicopter landed on the rooftop of a grand building, and she followed Sheng Qianchi off the helicopter, looking down at Boya City, one of Licheng City’s most luxurious affluent communities, she gaped in astonishment,

"Sheng Qianchi, why did you bring me here?"
