CHAPTER 132: CHAPTER 131: UNRULY AND OVERBEARING (6TH UPDATE)
By the time Sienna Thornton came to her senses, Simon Forrester had already closed his eyes, emitting a deep, steady breathing.
She leaned in closer, wanting to see if he was really asleep, but she was captivated by his handsome sleeping face. She kept looking here and there, and as she continued to gaze, she found her mood very restless, a mysterious force inexplicably pulling at her willpower.
Realizing the danger of losing control, she quickly turned away with a flushed face, lying on her side with her back to him, calming her mind. That’s when she remembered she had pretty much invited the wolf into the house.
She hadn’t forgiven him yet, and now he was openly playing rogue.
In anger, she turned back to pinch his cheek and twist his ear.
He winced with pain but moved closer to her neck, his voice hoarse, "Driving for over three hours back from South Bay in the middle of the night, aren’t you tired? I’m exhausted, working in the power room until late and then chasing after you. Can you calm down and let me sleep and we can talk after I wake up?"
His warm breath sprayed over her sensitive earlobe, making her shrink her neck as she muttered, "Go sleep in the guest room!"
He kept his eyes closed, still smiling, "Other people have slept in the guest room; I don’t want to. The sofa has had guests sitting on it; I don’t want that either. I have severe cleanliness issues."
Sienna Thornton said urgently, "But I’ve slept in my bed too!"
"My cleanliness issues are miraculously cured when it comes to you."
Sienna Thornton: "..."
Even in his sleep, he still held her tightly, and she was too tired to struggle anymore, so she simply lay there staring blankly at the ceiling.
Staring lifelessly at the ceiling, she thought to herself: This time it’s really over, she’s hit a wall and got entangled. It had already escalated into such an ugly fight, and she’d hidden so thoroughly, yet he shamelessly persisted.
She kept sighing, what more could she do? If this was a tribulation from heaven, then she’d just go through it!
Anyway, as someone who doesn’t believe in marriage, is she really going to be afraid of him?
With the thought of making him annoyed enough to leave on his own, Sienna Thornton drifted off to sleep.
When she woke again, the sky outside was ablaze with the reddish-orange glow of the sunset.
Sienna Thornton patted her head and grabbed her phone for a glance; it was already past five.
She had slept for more than twelve hours straight.
Lying in bed fiddling with her phone for a while, she ordered some takeout for herself: smashed cucumber and spicy cold rice noodles. It’s summer, and she felt like eating something refreshing.
After lying around for a bit more, she got up to grab some clean pajamas, planning to take a shower. But before she could reach the bathroom, she heard the sound of running water coming from inside.
Startled, she crept over, and sure enough, through the frosted glass door of her bathroom, she could see the silhouette of a tall figure.
???
It took her a moment to piece together the fragments of her memory, and she finally remembered that Simon Forrester had barged in early in the morning, forcing her to spend the day sleeping with him.
The water stopped just then, and after a while, the door opened, revealing Simon Forrester with a towel wrapped around his waist, using her towel to dry his hair, looking completely unfazed: "You’re up?"
Sienna Thornton glared at him, "Why are you showering in my house?"
He shrugged, "I’m used to taking a shower after waking up." With that, he walked casually to the living room and rummaged through a bag on the sofa.
Sienna Thornton followed him and watched as he pulled out a pair of boxers, lounge pants, and a T-shirt from the bag.
He didn’t seem to have any spare clothes with him when he came in the morning, right???
Did he slip back to get them this afternoon or did someone bring them to him?
If he went out this afternoon, he wouldn’t be able to get back in. Which means someone brought them to him!
The thought of someone knowing Simon Forrester had come to sleep at her place made her feel embarrassed.
While she pondered, Simon Forrester had already gone back to her room to change and came out fully dressed, holding her hairdryer and shamelessly asking, "You like me so much you even buy the same hairdryer as me?"
Sienna Thornton was speechless for a moment before pouting and retorting, "Just because we use the same thing doesn’t mean I like you. You’re breathing the same air as the beggars on the street!"
He glanced at her with a twinkle in his eyes, surprisingly without provoking her, and turned to the balcony to dry his hair.
Taking the opportunity, Sienna Thornton peered into his bag.
Spoiler alert, it had everything: shirts, dress pants, boxers, a razor, shaving foam, face wash, a charger... all the usual essentials.
His hair was short, just a quick blow for a minute, and it was completely dry. When he came back in, Sienna Thornton pointed at the bag and asked, "What’s the meaning of this? Planning to set up camp here?"
"Don’t you like it?" He walked over to the entryway cabinet, took out the lotion she had hidden in the morning, and patted some on his face. After finishing, he shamelessly placed both bottles on the dresser in the master bedroom.
Sienna Thornton followed him, her tone assertive, "I don’t like it!"
He was still staring at the bottles and jars on her vanity a moment earlier, but he suddenly turned so quickly that Sienna Thornton wasn’t able to dodge, falling backward. Luckily, his quick reflexes caught her by the waist, his arm pulling her up, pressing her against him.
Sienna Thornton let out a small "oof", clutching her pajamas as she looked at him.
Her large eyes blinked rapidly, causing his thoughts to wander. His gaze lingered on her face before finally resting on her lips.
His strong arm supported her lower back as he leaned closer to her ear, mocking, "I noticed, once you’ve had enough sleep, you get really feisty with me. You didn’t sleep well this morning, did you? You were all docile and obedient; now that you’ve rested, you’re starting to get rowdy."
