Our Love Story: Hard to Guard Against the Sudden Love Strike
Chapter 162 - 161: Mrs. Forrester
CHAPTER 162: CHAPTER 161: MRS. FORRESTER
Simon Forrester held her waist tightly, looking serious: "I think you should change your temper. You always get upset with your stepfather over your mom’s issues, and you’re the one who suffers every time. Can you really handle his daughter-in-law’s size compared to your own? You’re so thin you’d crumble with a push, and still dare to compete with others?"
"Fighting doesn’t always require brute strength, you have to use clever tactics, you know?" Sienna Thornton twisted her body, trying to free the arm around her waist.
Just as she was about to turn her head, she heard the man’s voice: "Stop struggling..."
"Let go, I need to get dressed." She twisted herself again.
The grip on her waist disappeared, and someone threatened fiercely: "I’ll deal with you later."
Saying this, he went back to the room.
Sienna Thornton dressed up and went to the guest bathroom outside to wash her face and hands. After finishing, she passed by the guestroom she used to stay in, went in, and took a look.
The bedding was neatly arranged, with a latex pillow on which lay a few strands of deep brown hair. On the bedside table was a phone charger and a bookmarked foreign language book.
On the other table, there were hair ties, clips, sheet masks, and two transparent ziplock bags, containing socks she had worn before, but they were already washed.
Sienna immediately opened the wardrobe door, and as expected, there was a neatly folded set of pajamas, a long-sleeve sports dress, and a set of underwear.
These were from the day before she moved.
Sienna was stunned, not realizing she had left so many things behind when she moved out.
She was just about to leave the room to ask Simon why he hadn’t told her to pick up these things when she unexpectedly saw a transparent acrylic box under the table.
She squatted down to look.
The acrylic box contained the cast she wore when she fractured her bone, cut along the midline, slightly yellowing on the surface, wrapped with elastic netting outside.
It looked quite clean, she had been careful to take care of the cast back then, not making it dirty.
As she looked at it, Sienna suddenly noticed something different. She turned the box around and saw six words written on the back of the cast with a black marker: "Wishing you health and happiness."
Her eyes suddenly reddened, she put down the cast box and ran out.
Simon Forrester was in the walk-in closet, throwing their dirty clothes into the laundry basket when he was suddenly hugged from behind. He stumbled sideways a couple of steps.
Before he could speak, Sienna cupped his face and kissed him.
He leaned his forehead against hers, smiling: "What are you doing?"
Sienna’s eyes were slightly red, sniffing she asked, "Why did you secretly keep my cast? What if we weren’t together and your future girlfriend saw it?"
Simon Forrester: "If I wanted to find a girlfriend, I’d have to clear out all your things first, wouldn’t I?"
Sienna: "..."
She regretted not biting her tongue off, why did she bother bringing this up? It’s not like he understood how to respond tenderly to girls, that typical insensitive guy.
She jumped off him, looking exasperated.
Simon Forrester picked up the laundry basket, wrapping her arm in his as they went out, "Getting ready to go out to eat, I’m starving."
In the elevator, Sienna was still looking exasperated.
She had been full of affection wanting to be cozy with Simon Forrester, only to have it completely Ewashed away by his "I’d have to clear out all your things first."
Simon Forrester held her with one arm, and the other in his pocket, without asking why, just a slight curl on his lips, seemingly in a wonderful mood.
They went to the lower floor mall, and wandered around the food court, Simon Forrester asked: "What do you want to eat?"
Sienna lazily pointed at a porridge shop ahead, saying: "Let’s eat there, it’s lighter."
Simon Forrester also looked in the direction she pointed: "I remember you like meat."
"But you like things light! Your stomach isn’t well, porridge is good enough."
"But I plan to do some physical activities tonight, porridge might not be filling enough, let’s eat meat."
Sienna’s face turned red from his "plan to do physical activities tonight", her heart racing, limbs feeling weak, as he pulled her to the mutton hot pot shop next door.
As long as people’s desires are met, they feel wonderful.
Sienna was no exception. Eating her favorite spicy mutton hot pot, she instantly felt better, finding Simon Forrester much more adorable.
She had just thought a while ago that this guy’s mouth ought to be sewn shut.
The hot pot was a half-spicy, half-mild one, one side bubbling with red oil, mutton bones, ribs, and loins simmering together, smelled delicious.
On the other side, a white broth base with light fish slices, corn, and various mushrooms floating.
Sienna sucked the marrow from a mutton bone, glanced up at the calm-faced man opposite, asked: "Didn’t you say you wanted meat? Why aren’t you eating any?"
Simon Forrester fished up some fish slices: "The meat’s here."
Sienna laughed: "Do you not like mutton?"
Simon Forrester remained expressionless: "The smell is too strong, after eating, my clothes and hair smell like mutton."
Sienna: "But for example, at a business dinner, and the client wants to eat this, what would you do?"
"Usually I don’t discuss business over meals."
"But after discussing business? Sometimes you eat together, right?"
Simon Forrester lightly tapped her head, "Don’t chat while eating."
Sienna muttered: "You have so many annoying habits." Then lowered her head to continue sucking the mutton bone marrow.
Simon Forrester: ???
Who really has the annoying habits?
After finishing dinner, it was already dark.
They held hands, preparing to go upstairs.
Passing the salon where they last got their hair washed, Simon Forrester suddenly asked: "Want to go in for a wash? Saves you the trouble of blow-drying after a bath later."
Sienna agreed.
Entering the salon, the hostess at the door warmly greeted them: "Mr. Forrester, Mrs. Forrester, hair wash or treatment?"
Simon Forrester: "Hair wash, I’ll have number eight, and set her up with a girl."
Sienna didn’t object, holding Simon Forrester’s hand, into the couple suite.
Perhaps the salon’s system remembered, they arranged the same girl who served Sienna last time, the girl came in enthusiastically greeting: "Mr. Forrester, Mrs. Forrester, long time no see."
After speaking, she realized she might have misspoken and quickly corrected: "Miss Thornton, sorry sorry, I forgot..."
Sienna casually said: "It’s fine."
Just about to lie down for a wash, Simon Forrester calmly said: "She didn’t get it wrong, no need to apologize, she is Mrs. Forrester."
Sienna gave him a coy glance, her heart swelling with sweetness.
Simon Forrester had short hair, finished washing and blow-drying before Sienna. When Sienna finished her hair and went out, he was sitting in the relaxation area waiting for her, holding an economics magazine.
Seeing her come over, he immediately put down the magazine, stood up, and took her hand.
They walked towards the elevator, passing by Watsons, Simon Forrester suddenly stopped.
Sienna shook his arm, asking: "Do you need to buy something?"
Simon Forrester looked at her, seemed to consider for a moment, then asked: "If I go in and buy that, would you object?"
