"Jenna, you go to the ward and keep mom company first. I’ll be there in a bit," Sienna Thornton said, asking Jenna Raines to leave.

Once Jenna Raines left, Simon Forrester asked again, "What’s going on? Is there an issue with the surgery fee?"

"I can handle a surgery fee of about a hundred thousand," Sienna Thornton, exhausted and on the brink of collapse, found a place to sit down. "I’ll have a friend in Brimfield help find the best cardiologist for my mom."

Simon Forrester visibly breathed a sigh of relief and sat down next to her.

Sienna Thornton clenched her right hand into a fist, her nails digging deep into her palm. She hesitated to speak; after all, family scandals are hard to share with outsiders. She evaded the subject: "But until this matter is settled, let’s not discuss it with the Raines Family to avoid any complications."

Simon Forrester nodded in agreement. "It’s good you have a plan. If you face any difficulties, you can tell me."

Sienna Thornton softly replied, "Okay," and said no more.

Jenna Raines secretly told her that the reason for Melinda Linton’s illness was because Jared Raines wanted Melinda Linton to give him three hundred thousand for his wedding. Melinda Linton didn’t have it, so they forced her to ask Sienna Thornton for it. Simon Forrester followed her, saying calmly, "My car is parked over there."

She took a deep breath.
