CHAPTER 83: CHAPTER 82: THE FORRESTER FAMILY NOURISHES PEOPLE

After leaving "Vantage," Simon Forrester started the car and headed back to the hospital, pondering what Sienna Thornton liked to eat along the way.

So far, he only knew she was crazy about lamb spine, but her face was injured and she couldn’t eat inflammatory foods, so he ended up packing an old duck noodle soup to take to the hospital.

When he entered the hospital room, Sienna Thornton was lying on the bed in a daze, her phone thrown on the floor.

Simon Forrester walked over, picked it up and glanced at it. There were dozens of missed calls. He asked, "Do you need me to turn it off for you?"

"I can’t turn it off, what if my mom needs to reach me."

Simon Forrester then placed the phone back on the bedside table as it was.

"You can’t be discharged until tomorrow morning. What are you planning to do tonight?"

"I’m afraid to be alone," Sienna Thornton said softly, "If you’re free tonight, could you stay with me for the night?"

"Okay," he agreed readily, unpacking the food and placing it on the hospital bed’s movable table, "I brought you dinner, want to eat some?"

Sienna Thornton was already hungry. Smelling the fragrance of the duck, she shifted her body, slowly sat up, and took the utensils Simon Forrester handed her. She quickly finished the entire portion of old duck noodle soup. Her stomach was satisfied, and her mood lifted.

Simon Forrester laughed, "You look so skinny, didn’t expect you to eat so much."

She laughed too, not feeling embarrassed at all, and said proudly, "Ever since my foot got hurt, I’ve been eating and sleeping like a pig at your house, I’ve gained four or five pounds already!"

"Really?" Simon Forrester’s eyes fell, scanning over her still slender body, he smiled lightly, "That means my house is quite nourishing."

Sienna Thornton grinned, "Thankfully, I can move out in a week, otherwise if I keep staying, I’d be as round as a ball."

"One more week," Simon Forrester’s expression slightly changed, "Is the house door fixed yet?"

He got up to help Sienna Thornton clean up the food containers.

Sienna Thornton said, "It should be done, Zion took care of it for me. I’ll call him and check later."

Simon Forrester nodded, didn’t say anything further, and turned to call Harrison Rowe to ask him to bring some toiletries over.

After hanging up, Sienna Thornton asked, "Are you having Harrison Rowe go home to get things?"

"No, I have a dorm room at the firm with some daily necessities there."

Originally planning to ask Harrison to also bring a charger, Sienna Thornton didn’t mention it again and instead asked, "So, when you’re not going home, you stay at the design firm?"

"Yes."

Sienna Thornton sighed, "Good thing you went home today, otherwise who knows what my face would look like now."

Simon Forrester also felt a lingering fear.

He sat down beside the hospital bed, suppressing a vague irritability, and looked at Sienna Thornton for a while, then calmly and steadily said, "I plan to sue Thomas Reed’s wife, but before that, I need to know what’s going on between you and Thomas Reed."

He knew Thomas Reed was interested in Sienna Thornton, but he had no idea what she felt, or if they ever had any relationship beyond superior-subordinate or mentor-student in the past.

He had never asked about these things before, partly because he didn’t like gossip and also because it was Sienna Thornton’s privacy. But now, Mrs. Reed openly brought people to his place to commit violence, if he wanted to hold her accountable, he needed to know where the boundaries lay.

If there really was something between Sienna Thornton and Thomas Reed in the past, as this case proceeds to trial, the legal profession is bound to know about their past.

If Sienna Thornton didn’t want these things to come out, then holding Mrs. Reed accountable should take a different approach.

In this matter, he would prioritize Sienna Thornton’s feelings.
