Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother
Chapter 370 Bao Xun
CHAPTER 370: CHAPTER 370 BAO XUN
An Yin looked up, meeting the man’s cold, sharp gaze. Her breathing turned rapid as she awkwardly said, "No, no."
"Your expression doesn’t seem like you like it," the man sneered coldly.
"I was just thinking," An Yin turned her head to the side, a hint of shyness coloring her delicate cheeks.
Thinking?
She could actually think? Now that’s interesting.
Bao Shaojin’s lips curved into a slight smile as he softly asked, "Thinking about what?"
"I’ve accepted your gift, but I must also give you a return gift," An Yin said with great seriousness, her bright face full of sincerity.
"A gift for me?" Bao Shaojin repeated.
"Yes," An Yin blinked, "Is there anything you like?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she regretted it instantly. The man didn’t seem lacking in money; the things he liked must be expensive.
Oh no...
She shouldn’t have asked. What if he mentioned something she couldn’t afford? Wouldn’t that be super embarrassing?
The little girl’s brows furrowed deeply, an air of gloom settling on her perfect face.
Without much thought, Bao Shaojin could see right through what she was thinking.
The little girl was timid; he better not scare her.
Just now, she asked what he liked.
Would she count?
As for other things, they were easy for him to obtain.
Seeing the man silently brooding, An Yin cautiously looked up and spoke softly, "It’s okay if you can’t think of anything right now, you can tell me later when you do."
The little girl’s voice was soft and gentle, caressing the man’s ears, tempting his heart to sink.
"Alright, you owe me a gift," the man’s deep eyes gazed down at her.
"Alright, okay." The man’s gaze was too intense, and An Yin nodded blankly.
For some reason, she couldn’t shake the feeling that the man’s words were somewhat discomforting, as if he were about to devour her alive at any moment. When this thought emerged, An Yin shivered from the chill running down her spine.
"Cold?" Bao Shaojin noticed the little girl’s complexion turning visibly pale.
"Not cold, not cold," An Yin denied repeatedly.
Seeing her like a little ostrich, Bao Shaojin didn’t press further.
Just then, a phone started vibrating. An Yin reflexively reached for her pocket, realizing she hadn’t brought her phone out, yet the sound was coming from her. She looked down, the man’s coat was draped over her.
She reached into the man’s pocket, her fingers inadvertently grazing the cold phone screen. After taking it out, she handed it to the man, "Bao Shaojin, your phone."
Her voice wasn’t loud, yet it was exceptionally clear in the confined space.
"Is it you?"
An Yin handed the phone to the man, and in the quiet car, a surprised man’s voice came from the phone.
"Thud..." Hearing the words from the phone, An Yin was so startled she let go, and Bao Shaojin’s phone fell directly to the floor.
"Sorry, I didn’t mean to," An Yin quickly apologized, realizing her clumsiness.
Bao Shaojin reached down to pick up the phone, its screen showing an ongoing call. He cast a glance at the little girl. An Yin, belatedly realizing the situation, hurriedly covered her mouth with her hand, looking utterly anxious.
"What’s the matter?" Bao Shaojin’s voice was languid, as if he didn’t care if the other party heard everything that just happened.
The other side was silent for a moment, then said, "Brother, happy New Year!"
They were close enough that An Yin could hear the phone conversation clearly. She sat upright, listening closely to the phone’s content, even though it was impolite. But the man’s words piqued her curiosity.
It was as if he knew her? An Yin murmured to herself.
Bao Shaojin’s cold eyes looked at An Yin as if viewing a plaything. Seeing her eager to eavesdrop yet hesitant, he secretly turned up the volume, then lifted his eyelids, "Aren’t you coming home this year?"
As he said this, his gaze was stern.
In An Yin’s view, his tone was quite authoritative.
"Hmm," the voice on the other end sounded weak and somewhat weary.
"Brother, is the girl next to you the one who answered the phone last time?" Bao Xun swiftly changed the subject.
Bao Shaojin suddenly raised his eyes and saw the little girl’s face flushed as she looked at him. Dark tides flowed in Bao Shaojin’s deep eyes, "It’s her."
An Yin quickly lowered her head, not expecting the other party to know her.
Soon, a memory surfaced in her mind. She had once answered a call in Bao Shaojin’s car, but the other person hadn’t spoken. Could it be the man on the other end now?
An Yin, filled with curiosity, held her breath and continued to openly eavesdrop.
"You..." Bao Xun said two words and then cryptically added, "Very good!"
An Yin listened, utterly confused.
The dark eyes of Bao Shaojin were filled with an almost obsessive undercurrent. He understood perfectly what the other meant, yet Bao Shaojin did not follow up on that topic. Instead, he diverted the conversation, "Grandma has found out something, and soon, your whereabouts will likely be exposed."
If Bao Shaojin could say so, it must be almost certain.
Bao Xun was silent for a long time before he spoke, "It’s about time."
Bao Xun suddenly dropped a surprising remark.
A fleeting, imperceptible emotion flashed through Bao Shaojin’s dark eyes, "Before you make a decision, make sure you won’t regret it."
After Bao Shaojin finished saying this, the phone emitted the sound of beeping.
Clearly, the call had been disconnected from the other side.
Above, dark clouds hung heavily in the sky, giving a depressing feeling as if it could rain at any moment.
The man placed the phone by his side.
An Yin nervously turned her head to look at the man.
"My younger brother’s phone call," Bao Shaojin bluntly revealed the identity of the caller.
An Yin mumbled, "Oh." She replayed the brothers’ conversation in her mind, word by word, finding it mentally exhausting.
She added, "How many siblings do you have?"
"Only one younger brother."
As he spoke, a touch of leisure appeared on the man’s face.
Usually, no one dared ask him such questions directly.
Involving his personal privacy, people wouldn’t even dare to broach such topics.
"That’s nice too," An Yin spoke with a hint of envy.
Bao Shaojin saw her dejected look and asked blandly, "Do you want siblings?"
An Yin’s beautiful eyes tightened slightly as she said hauntingly, "I used to want siblings when I saw others having them at school."
The little girl said as her lively eyes glimmered like stars.
"I’ll let you have my brother," Bao Shaojin offered without a trace of hesitation, "He’s older than you, you can call him brother."
An Yin showed a stunned expression, blurted out, "How could that be? I don’t even know him. Compared to him, you seem more suitable."
