Pampered by My Secret Husband
Chapter 173: Keep a Close Eye on That Person for Me
CHAPTER 173: CHAPTER 173: KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THAT PERSON FOR ME
"Maniac!"
Sophie Sullivan suddenly raised her head and saw Thomas Shannon’s gloomy face. Guiltily, she tossed Harry from her embrace.
Harry, who had rolled on the sofa a few times before stopping, cried out to Sophie as if wronged.
Stupid human, you hurt your majesty!
Sophie smoothly stroked her hair. "Are we leaving now?"
Thomas Shannon glared at her gloomily, then came to the sofa and held Harry in his arms.
Harry, like a little prince, looked unbearably aggrieved, his small head persistently nuzzling into Thomas Shannon’s embrace, as if seeking protection.
Thomas Shannon raised his hand to smooth Harry’s fur, then swept his cold eyes over Sophie. "Repeat what you said just now to scare Harry."
"Did I say anything?" Sophie tilted her head slightly, blinking innocently. "You must have misheard."
"Didn’t anyone ever tell you that this ugly face and your hoarse, duck-like voice don’t suit acting cute?"
Sophie was speechless.
An arrow struck her chest out of nowhere!
Was it her fault her voice was unpleasant?
Didn’t he know her vocal cords were injured?
Holding Harry, Thomas Shannon turned around and impatiently addressed Sophie, who hadn’t moved, "What are you waiting for?"
Sophie jumped up and followed him. "Thomas Shannon, will it kill you to speak properly?"
Arguing all the way, the group left the castle, got into the car, and departed from the manor.
Amelia Shaw walked out of the restaurant and stood at the steps of the castle, watching Thomas Shannon leave.
Her heart sank, bit by bit.
He could bicker with that maniac but wasn’t willing to say more than a few words to her.
She lowered her head and smiled forlornly.
Even without Thomas Shannon, she still had the card he gave her, right?
In the past, she had lived like a noble lady. Her daily life consisted of shopping, traveling, and enjoying gourmet food.
Taking the card Thomas Shannon had given her, she went to the garage and drove out in a Lamborghini.
Sophie leaned back against the chair back and closed her eyes, feigning sleep.
The fleet arrived at the airport, entered through a special passage, passed the security check, and boarded the shuttle bus.
Boarding Thomas Shannon’s private jet, Sophie felt a bit gloomy. "Where are we going?"
Thomas Shannon merely glanced at her indifferently without saying a word.
Sophie sat in her chair, frustrated. Fine, if he wouldn’t tell her, she wouldn’t ask!
Thomas Shannon lowered his head, leisurely scratching Harry’s chin, his eyes deep and thoughtful. "Charlie River, monitor their movements. Report any developments immediately."
Charlie River nodded gravely. "Young Master, rest assured. I’ve made all the arrangements. I just received word that she has gone out. She didn’t call for a driver; she left by herself."
Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly. "Keep a close eye on her for me."
"Understood!"
Listening to the master and servant converse in riddles, Sophie suddenly felt utterly drained.
Unable to bear the silence, she reached out and snatched the little fellow, Harry, from Thomas Shannon’s embrace.
"MEOW!"
Harry let out a heart-wrenching, desperate wail.
Sophie grew angry. Pinching his whiskers with one hand, she snapped, "What are you meowing about? Keep it up, and I’ll cut off your cat food supply!"
"What did you say?" Thomas Shannon propped his head up with one hand, turned his head, and stared at her, his deep, cold eyes tinged with displeasure.
Doesn’t she have any self-awareness?
Harry’s master was still here, and she dared to threaten his pet right in front of him?
She was courting death!
Sophie smiled. "I said Harry is really cute. Just like you."
Thomas Shannon was speechless.
He really wanted to strangle her!
