CHAPTER 175: CHAPTER 175: AREN’T THEY AFRAID THAT SHE’LL LEAK THE SECRET?

...

Sophie Sullivan was shaken awake.

She groggily opened her eyes to see Thomas Shannon’s handsome face looming over her.

Annoyed, she pushed his face away. "Don’t bother me, I want to sleep."

"How long do you plan on sleeping on this airplane?"

Only then did Sophie realize the airplane had already landed.

She sat up, still drowsy, rubbing her eyes. Her head was still fuzzy.

Suddenly, she felt a warm gush.

Her expression changed. Thomas Shannon narrowed his eyes. "What’s wrong?"

Sophie pushed him away and ran into the restroom. Once inside, she discovered another problem.

The restroom door opened a crack, and she poked her head out. "Thomas Shannon."

Thomas Shannon, drawn by her voice, approached with his arms crossed, eyeing her sideways. "What’s the matter?"

"Do you have a sanitary pad?"

She’d been in such a rush that she hadn’t packed any, leading to her current predicament.

Thomas Shannon’s eyes widened. "You’re a woman and you don’t have any, so how would I?"

Sophie: "..."

Knowing she was in the wrong, she didn’t dare argue.

After all, she was the one in an awkward situation now, not him.

"Call a flight attendant. They’re women; one of them might have some."

"Wait here!"

Thomas Shannon turned and walked away.

Soon, a flight attendant arrived with the sanitary pads Sophie desperately needed, along with a fresh set of clothes, from underwear to outerwear.

After freshening up, Sophie washed her hands and came out.

Thomas Shannon was sitting on a chair, holding Harry. He glanced at her impatiently. "All cleaned up?"

Sophie nodded haughtily. "Yes."

Not a trace remained of the awkwardness and humility she’d shown when asking for help just now.

Thomas Shannon was long used to this. These were all bad habits born from being spoiled!

After disembarking from the airplane, Sophie had no idea where they were. She could only follow Thomas Shannon as they left the airport through a special passage.

Once in the car, Sophie looked out at the unfamiliar city, her curiosity piqued. "Where is this?"

No one answered.

Charlie River wouldn’t dare answer her without permission.

Thomas Shannon was absently stroking Harry, showing no sign of intending to answer her.

Sophie turned her head, her captivatingly beautiful eyes fixed on Thomas Shannon. "Thomas Shannon, didn’t you hear me?"

The man’s eyebrows lifted slightly. His cold eyes, tinged with displeasure, met hers, his expression clearly challenging, ’Any objections?’

"Fine, don’t say it then." Realizing she wouldn’t get anywhere, Sophie sulkily turned her head to look out the car window.

The Lincoln left the city center and drove for over an hour more, eventually reaching a remote area.

Gradually, imposing structures came into view.

After passing through multiple security checkpoints, the Lincoln convoy drove into a vast and mysterious Military Factory.

This was clearly a heavily guarded high-tech factory, teeming with researchers and technical personnel.

The fully automated loading and transport systems were dazzling to Sophie.

She felt as if she had stumbled into some kind of extraordinary place.

The Lincoln convoy halted. Charlie River was the first to exit, opening the car door.

"Young Master, if you please."

Thomas Shannon alighted from the car. Sophie remained inside, motionless.

The man impatiently circled to her side of the car, pulled open the door, and ordered, "Get out."

"You want me to get out?"

This place looks so secretive. Is he really letting me get out and look around?

Isn’t he afraid I’ll leak secrets?

Harry, nestled in Thomas Shannon’s arms, sensed his master’s impatience. He stretched his head towards Sophie and let out a yowl.

Stupid human! Just do what Master says and cut the nonsense!
