CHAPTER 340: CHAPTER 342: THOMAS SHANNON, SAVE ME...

Getting revenge on Thomas Shannon had been decided long ago, hadn’t it? Now, this decision would only become more resolute. Since the moment she stole the design drawings, she and Frank Mitchell were tightly bound together. He was right—they were in the same boat. Both of them had a common goal: to make Thomas Shannon suffer the consequences. At least, that was her intention. As for Frank Mitchell, she wasn’t aware of what feud he had with Thomas Shannon. Nor did she know how he planned to deal with Thomas Shannon; these weren’t her primary concerns. The process wasn’t important; she only cared about the outcome. As long as the result was satisfactory to her, she didn’t care how complicated the process was.

After pondering for a moment, Amelia Shaw sat up. "How do you want me to help?" she asked.

...

「The next day.」

Thomas Shannon and Sophie Sullivan were having breakfast in the restaurant when he received a call from Amelia Shaw.

Glancing at Sophie Sullivan, he picked up his mobile phone and declined the call.

The phone rang again. He frowned slightly and answered, "What’s up?"

"Thomas, I’m in City T..." Amelia Shaw’s voice was laced with tears. "I heard from a servant that you came to City T, so I came looking for you... I’ve been robbed. My wallet and ID card are gone. Thomas, please save me..."

"Where are you?"

Amelia Shaw sobbed pitifully. "I don’t know... I don’t know where this place is."

"Turn on your phone’s location services." After a pause, Thomas Shannon added, "I’ll send someone to find you. Stay put."

After hanging up, Thomas Shannon noticed Sophie Sullivan’s expression turn cold.

"What’s wrong?" he asked. "Is the breakfast not to your liking?"

Sophie Sullivan sneered. Did he think she hadn’t heard Amelia Shaw’s voice on the phone just now? He was truly a busy man, having to accompany her while also caring for Amelia Shaw.

She put down her spoon, swallowed the porridge in her mouth, picked up a napkin to wipe the corner of her lips, then tossed the napkin down and rose to leave the restaurant.

Her movements were fluid and seamless, all in one motion.

Throughout, she didn’t spare him a single glance.

The man’s handsome brow furrowed. "Stop!"

But if she actually stopped when told, she wouldn’t be Sophie Sullivan.

Charlie River, standing nearby, asked tentatively, "Young Master, should I go and bring that maniac back?"

"Bring her back? How would you do that?" Thomas Shannon retorted.

Charlie River fell silent.

He hadn’t said anything wrong, just offered a well-intentioned suggestion. Why was the Young Master angry?

Sophie Sullivan quickly stepped out of the courtyard and strode towards the exit. Unsurprisingly, she was stopped by a man in black. "Maniac, you’re not allowed to leave without the Young Master’s orders!"

"Get out of my way!"

"No!"

She was forceful, but the man in black was even more resolute.

Sophie Sullivan lowered her eyelids, her gaze falling to the pistol holstered at the man in black’s waist.

She feigned turning to leave, then, in a sudden, unexpected move, her hand shot out, swiftly snatching the pistol from the man in black.

Her actions were clean and efficient. With a striking coolness, she gripped the gun, chambered a round with one hand, and aimed the muzzle at him.

A cold, stunning smile touched her lips. "Move."

The man in black remained as still as a mountain, refusing to yield.

A report from the man in black came through Charlie River’s wireless earpiece. With a grave expression, he informed Thomas Shannon, "Young Master, this is bad. The maniac snatched a bodyguard’s pistol and is demanding to leave."

Thomas Shannon paused mid-meal, a complex emotion flickering in his deep eyes. "Heh," he scoffed, "that’s not surprising in the least."

It wasn’t surprising at all that she would do such a thing. Thinking of her precise marksmanship, Thomas Shannon started to worry about the bodyguard. When that maniac got truly ruthless, there was nothing she wouldn’t do.
