Chapter 487: 501 Beast Tamer
Chapter 487: Chapter 501 Beast Tamer
“The Divine Wind Academy is quite interesting indeed,” Ye Tian mused.
It was likely that under such an atmosphere, every student would diligently cultivate.
In the Divine Wind Academy, power represents everything.
And those teachers, they could hardly wait to pass on everything they knew to their students.
After all, the stronger their disciples become, the more resources they will in turn obtain.
“So when it’s time for new students to choose their teachers, the appearance of a student with great talent will indeed cause a scramble among the teachers.”
Luo Tian explained, just as Ye Tian had imagined, a student with outstanding talent was indeed the center of attention in the Divine Wind Academy.
“Heh heh, I just felt like my own talent was decent enough, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered coming to the Divine Wind Academy.”
Luo Tian had his own thoughts; as long as he proved his talent, he could find a good teacher in the Divine Wind Academy.
That would be equivalent to finding himself a strong backer; then even if he returned home swaggering, those enemies would not dare to touch him.
In some ways, this was also an advantage of the Divine Wind Academy.
If you offend me, I can simply take it to your doorstep. Divine Wind Academy’s teachers are like hidden dragons and crouching tigers. Apart from those big clans with cultivators of the All Things Realm, nobody dares to provoke them.
Even if we take a step back, if I killed your people, would you dare come to the Divine Wind Academy for revenge? You wouldn’t dare.
In a place like Sin City, if you act out on the street, that being does not care about anyone’s wishes, and beheadings are made public as a warning to all.
This also resulted in the security of Sin City being one of the best in the entire Supreme Interface.
The two of them were in luck; the day after tomorrow was the monthly selection for new students.
They had just made it in time, otherwise they would have to wait another month.
The teacher responsible for recruiting new students found a guest room for the two of them, and they settled in for the time being.
“The Divine Wind Academy is really different from other places.” The teacher who had received them earlier had a terrifying level of cultivation, but the attitude was surprisingly good, without the slightest bit of arrogance or pretension.
Not only did he personally bring the two of them here, he also explained some of the things that they should be aware of at the Academy.
There are some private areas in the Divine Wind Academy that you can’t just wander into – they are usually the dwellings of some old eccentrics within the Academy.
According to Luo Tian, many eccentrics devoted to research choose to come to the Divine Wind Academy to become lecturers.
“Brother Mu, do you want to go out and take a look around? The shops in Sin City are famous throughout the Supreme Interface.”
Luo Tian simply couldn’t sit still. They had just settled down and he was already eager to go out and explore.
Ye Tian had nothing else to do, so he followed Luo Tian out the door to see if he could find some urgently needed items.
Although he didn’t have the currency used in the Supreme Interface, he did have the corpse of a Gold-eating Rat on him.
If he could sell it, he should be able to exchange it for a good amount of Spiritual Energy Crystals.
It must be said that the layout of the entire Sin City felt very comfortable.
An entire row of orderly shops formed a busy shopping street.
All sorts of exotic treasures, elixirs, weapons, materials and ores were available.
However, most of the shop owners looked fierce and malevolent, and nearly every one of them possessed profound cultivation.
This is probably a feature of Sin City – presumably, these shop owners are those hiding in Sin City from their enemies.
After browsing for a while, Luo Tian picked out a couple of trinkets for himself and chose a Longsword.
“Why would you, a Beast Tamer, buy a Longsword?” Ye Tian asked.
“Heh heh, there is a master of the Sword Dao in the Divine Wind Academy; he’s my idol,” Luo Tian said with a chuckle.
Beast Tamers usually derived their strength from their Summoning Beasts. It was rare for a Beast Tamer to choose to use a sword.
“Sword Dao master?” Ye Tian looked puzzled.
“That’s the idol of our younger generation. Back in the day, this senior with just a Longsword slew an entire Sect under the All Things Realm, and then came to the Divine Wind Academy and became the vice dean.”
As Luo Tian mentioned this senior, he began to talk endlessly about him to Mu Can.
It turned out that his idol was a vice dean of the Divine Wind Academy. When he was young, he made an enemy of a power that had a cultivator of the All Things Realm. Forced into a no-man’s land, he emerged half a year later and went straight to that Sect, annihilating the whole of it.
It caused quite a stir at the time, a single Longsword wiping out what was considered All Things Realm.
However, Mu Can’s focus was not on any Sword Dao masters.
“Coming out of the no-man’s land,” Mu Can pondered for a moment. After entering the Divine Wind Academy, he must find a way to meet this vice dean.
Perhaps the vice dean knew some secrets about the no-man’s land.
After strolling for a while, Mu Can found that although there were many items here, there was nothing he needed, so he gave up the idea of continuing to browse.
He returned to the Divine Wind Academy immediately to rest.
“If you need anything, you can go to the auction later,” Luo Tian reminded Mu Can.
The next day, the two enjoyed some of the Sin City’s signature cuisine along with Wang Cai.
Here, you could eat many things that you couldn’t get in other places.
Various powerful Fierce Beasts were processed into dishes in the restaurants here.
And Mu Can was astonished to discover that eating these dishes containing Spiritual Energy was actually beneficial to his cultivation.
No wonder many people would specifically travel via Transmission Array to come to Sin City just for a meal.
“Tomorrow is when we pick our teachers; have you thought about it?” Mu Can took a bite of meat and chewed thoughtfully.
It had to be said that although the dishes here were a bit pricey, they were absolutely worth it.
The aroma of the meat combined perfectly with the side dishes, complete with a hint of medicinal herb scent. The key point was that eating it would turn into a warm current nourishing the entire body.
The effect was even better than the best Elixir in the Three Realms by a third.
Mu Can even suspected that if people from the Three Realms were to eat such food every day, they would probably break through to the Void Level in no time.
“My biggest wish is to find a Beast Tamer to teach me,” Luo Tian sighed, remembering the Summoning Beasts that had died in battle for him.
Mu Can’s understanding of the Beast Tamer profession remained what he had heard from Wang Cai.
These Cultivators with the ability to communicate with Fierce Beasts would turn them into their Summoning Beasts after successfully taming them.
It was a profession not to be underestimated.
A Beast Tamer who was physically weak and with average Cultivation could summon swarms of Fierce Beasts to assist in battle when the fight began.
That was the terrifying part of being a Beast Tamer.
