CHAPTER 539: CHAPTER 553: THE FURIOUS TOAD

Back in the day, Wang Cai’s name resounded throughout the Supreme Interface, albeit infamously.

Under the deliberate indulgence of the Heavenly Dao, he bullied every faction mercilessly, which is why even after returning to the Supreme Interface he dared not reveal his true identity.

He was genuinely scared that without the Heavenly Dao’s protection, he would be captured by those from the All Things Realm and have his tendons plucked and skin peeled.

But now Wang Cai is no longer afraid. With Beiming’s guidance, he has found a powerful new backer, and one that can roam freely in no-man’s land at that.

This feeling is simply too exhilarating, and Wang Cai happily wags his tail non-stop.

Toad looked at Wang Cai with disdain. How despicable this dog looked, even his tail wagging was annoying.

"That warty toad, how dare you look at your grandpa Wang Cai with that expression?" Despite being a dog, Wang Cai was incredibly shrewd. He immediately picked up on the toad’s mocking gaze, and, not pleased, barked loudly and kicked the toad.

The poor toad, having its strength sealed by Beiming, was now weaker than an average human. It lay on its back, croaking pitifully after being kicked.

Wang Cai glanced at him, noticing tears streaming from the toad’s bean-sized eyes.

"Hey toad, why are you crying?" Wang Cai scrutinized the toad with a puzzled look.

He hadn’t kicked very hard. Besides, with the toad’s strength surpassing the All Things Realm, that kick was nothing.

"Croak, croak, croak, if my strength weren’t sealed, how could I be bullied by you here? Truly, a tiger that has fallen flat is bullied by a dog," the toad cried out angrily, glaring at Wang Cai with bulging eyes.

"Get lost, you’re going to enrage the toad to death. Lead the way to Beasts Valley," Mu Can kicked Wang Cai helplessly.

He knew just how aggravating Wang Cai could be; if this continued, the toad might actually die from anger.

"Arf, okay, I was just curious to see what the toad would look like when it’s truly angry," said Wang Cai with an excited tail wag, seemingly wanting more, yet knowing not to actually enrage the toad to death.

"Let’s go, use your nose to sniff out where treasures are," Mu Can nudged Wang Cai gently with his foot, eager to find the Nine-Headed Lion Clan’s treasure as it was their current priority.

Treasure hunting was Wang Cai’s specialty. Upon hearing Mu Can’s words, he immediately abandoned any thoughts of competing with the toad and scampered right into the Nine-Headed Lion Clan’s territory.

As one of the several major families in Beasts Valley, the Nine-Headed Lion Clan’s resources were frighteningly vast. If it weren’t for encountering a Great Power like Beiming, even with the combined strength of all from the Human Clan it would not have been possible to annihilate the Nine-Headed Lion.

Wang Cai ran ahead, tail wagging and face full of excitement, leading Mu Can and Beiming straight to the Nine-Headed Lion Clan’s first treasure trove.

It was an enormous Medicine Garden. The dense Spiritual Energy in the air seemed almost to liquefy, with herbs growing profusely, as if in a sea of medicine.

"This is simply amazing," Wang Cai stared dumbfounded at the Herbal Garden before him, not expecting the Nine-Headed Lion Clan to possess such a wondrous place.

"A lot of them can be used as condiments, all very nourishing," Mu Can’s mouth watered instantly. After spending time with Beiming, he too had become a veritable foodie.

"Just collect them all," Beiming was somewhat indifferent to these things. As a carnivore, Spiritual Medicine was merely a spice to him, the rich Spiritual Power within them completely unabsorbable.

"Yes, teacher." Mu Can’s heart burst with joy when he heard the words of the Beiming elder.

These medicinal herbs the Beiming elder did not need, so Mu Can happily claimed them all for himself.

After some thought, Mu Can directly transplanted all the medicinal herbs into his own small world, not even leaving a speck of soil behind. This was the finest spirit soil used for nurturing spiritual medicine.

"Woof woof woof!" Wang Cai was so excited that he was spinning around in place, completely unable to control himself.

"Ribbit ribbit ribbit, this is digging three feet into the ground." The toad was beyond pissed, as these were things owned by Beasts Valley, and even a portion would be sent to Valley Master of Beasts Valley every year.

Regrettably, now everything had been dug up by Mu Can and a dog, not even sparing any spirit soil, a truly insane and rage-inducing act.

"You don’t know shit. How would you rate your Toad Clan’s status in Beasts Valley?" Wang Cai narrowed his eyes and asked with a smile.

"Ribbit ribbit ribbit, our Toad Clan is certainly a great clan." The toad retorted with dissatisfaction, but upon finishing, it felt something was off and immediately shut its mouth.

To be fair, the Toad Clan indeed counted as a great clan within Beasts Valley, and the toad’s original name was actually Sky-Swallowing Toad, a considerably formidable clan.

It was one of the most powerful talents among the Sky-Swallowing Toad Clan, but in front of the old Beiming man, it was insignificant as a fart.

"Hehe, he said it, the Toad Clan is a great clan, just don’t know if there are any frogs in their clan, toads are inedible, but frogs are a delicacy." Wang Cai truly is a rascal, saying so in front of the Beiming elder.

The toad nearly passed out from anger; if because of his own words, this murderous old geezer wiped out his clan, then he would become the biggest sinner.

"Ribbit ribbit ribbit, our Sky-Swallowing Toad Clan is just the smallest of clans, all toads, no frogs." The toad was secretly crying inside as he spoke such a conscience-violating lie for the first time.

"Oh, it’s a small clan now, then step aside and take a rest." Wang Cai wagged his paw dismissively.

Thought he caught a big fish but looking at its no-principle attitude, it probably wasn’t from any illustrious family.

"Ribbit ribbit ribbit." The toad was beside itself with anger, slowly beginning to swell up again. It swore in its heart, if it managed to survive this time, it would definitely eat dog meat every day to cheer itself up.

"Doggy toad, who did you just curse?" Wang Cai sensed something amiss in the toad’s tone and tilted his head as he scolded.

"You’re the dog, he’s the toad, he’s not a doggy toad." Mu Can couldn’t help but feel speechless after hearing that.

Wang Cai, this guy, even cursed himself when hurling insults.

Mu Can was busy collecting herbs into his small world, not minding the bickering between the man and the toad.

"Such a thrill." Seeing the entire Medicine Valley neatly collected, Mu Can then nodded in satisfaction.

Xiaohong, Xiaofuqi and the others living in the New World were simply ecstatic, feeling as though a large swath of herbs permeated with rich Spiritual Energy had descended from the sky.

It covered a large part of the land in the New World, slightly increasing the Spiritual Energy within.
