"Weren’t you the one who didn’t want to eat it last time? Why are you asking about it now?" Chen Yang said with a smile.

Wang Qingyue’s expression turned awkward upon hearing this.

After leaving the backyard, Chen Yang took Wangcai, picked up a bucket from home, and headed up the mountain.

He was naturally going up the mountain to fetch some crayfish for Dai Annie.

Initially, he said it was difficult to get because getting crayfish usually meant going to the market in the county, which seemed troublesome.

But then he remembered that he had a cave behind the mountain where he bred crayfish, which were clean and large, much better than what was found outside.

So he agreed to Dai Annie, that they could have some crayfish at noon.

Chen Yang walked through the mountain paths with Wangcai, and soon entered the crayfish cave, managing to collect half a bucket of crayfish.

With the crayfish in hand, while descending the mountain, Chen Yang also made a trip to the wild fruit garden and picked some ripe fruits to bring back.

"These wild fruits are sweet, let them have a taste too."

As this garden had the most tangerines, and their taste was the best too.

Carrying these things back to the clinic, Chen Yang didn’t start by dealing with the crayfish; instead, he washed the tangerines and other fruits and gave them to the three ladies to eat.

Seeing the tangerines and other fruits Chen Yang brought, Wu Kexin immediately recognized them as the wild fruits they had last time.

Being familiar with the taste, she quickly grabbed two.

"Qingyue, Annie, you should have a couple too, they’re really good and refreshing." Chen Yang said.

Dai Annie and Wang Qingyue, feeling tired, were naturally inclined to eat when they saw the fruits.

After resting for over ten minutes, Wang Qingyue suddenly asked Chen Yang, "Chen Yang, do you still have any Gold oranges at home? Bring some out, you can’t skip on fruits after a meal."

Hearing this, Dai Annie chimed in to support Wang Qingyue.

Dai Annie was the same, "Yeah, I’m so familiar with Gold oranges. They’re my favorite, don’t try to trick me."

Both thought Chen Yang was joking, and didn’t believe his talk of wild mountain tangerines at all.

Seeing their disbelief, Chen Yang didn’t bother to explain further, but instead smiled and pointed at Wu Kexin, "What I’m saying is true. If you don’t believe me, ask Kexin. Didn’t we just have wild mountain tangerines from our Liuhua Village?"

With Chen Yang saying this, Wang Qingyue and Dai Annie immediately shifted their gaze to Wu Kexin, as if seeking confirmation from her.

Wu Kexin smiled and nodded, "Chen Yang isn’t lying. The tangerines earlier really were wild mountain tangerines, from the wild fruit garden near Liuhua Village."

Seeing Wu Kexin say this, Wang Qingyue and Dai Annie finally believed that what they’d eaten before were indeed wild mountain tangerines and not the Gold oranges they knew.

"They really aren’t the same variety, but the taste is practically identical." Wang Qingyue said.

"Yeah, yeah, I always thought they were Gold oranges. Who would’ve thought they weren’t." Dai Annie expressed quite an amount of surprise.

Seeing the surprised expressions of the two ladies, Wu Kexin laughed and started sharing how when she first tasted them the day before yesterday, she had a similar experience.

As for Chen Yang, he didn’t join in on the conversation. Seeing that the three ladies wanted to eat more, he went out again and picked a lot from the wild fruit garden.

Letting the three ladies have their fill in one go.

The three ladies, enjoying the excellent fruit after a meal, were immensely satisfied.
