Peach Blossom Divine Medical God
Chapter 1164 - 1160: The Grand Feng Shui Formation
CHAPTER 1164: CHAPTER 1160: THE GRAND FENG SHUI FORMATION
Chen Yang has never believed in ghost stories.
However, he does have some belief in feng shui.
Of course, his belief doesn’t mean that good feng shui will surely bring great wealth and fortune, or anything like that.
What he believes is that if the feng shui of a place is genuinely good, it indeed nurtures people.
It provides invisible and intangible benefits to a person’s spirit and physique.
This is recorded even in traditional Chinese medicine.
The car stopped at the clinic’s entrance, and after getting out, Chen Yang didn’t enter the house but directly asked the old man: "Do you think that place in the village suits feng shui observation?"
The old man leaned on his cane and glanced around.
"On the way here, I saw a small hill opposite the village. It should be a good place for observing feng shui," the old man said with a smile.
As soon as Chen Yang heard it, he knew the old man was talking about the small hill where Niu Ming raises his cattle.
"Alright, let’s go there to check,"
Chen Yang nodded in agreement, then turned and said to Dai Annie: "Annie, please make a trip to the village center and tell Kexin, I’ve found a mage, and the ritual can be performed in the afternoon. Ask her to notify everyone to come and watch."
This ritual is meant for the villagers to see, so it shouldn’t be done in secret. It must be completed openly.
Only in this way can everyone’s hearts be at ease.
"Alright."
Dai Annie immediately nodded in agreement and then turned to run towards the village center.
Chen Yang then took the old man and his disciple through the village and up to the hill where Niu Ming raises cattle.
Standing on the open space at the hilltop, the old man overlooked the entire Liuhe village nestled at the foot of the hill.
He gazed for over ten minutes.
For over ten minutes, he didn’t move his body; only his eyes scanned left and right, looking around all of Liuhe village.
"How about it, old man? Did you see anything noteworthy?" As ten minutes passed, Chen Yang couldn’t help but urge, asking about the village’s feng shui.
The old man still didn’t move his body, nor did his eyes turn; he continued to look at Liuhe village.
But he spoke.
"Marvelous, marvelous, an excellent feng shui layout of two dragons playing with a pearl," the old man praised.
Chen Yang was stunned upon hearing this: "Two dragons playing with a pearl? You mean the feng shui of Liuhe village is excellent?"
"Indeed, the feng shui of Liuhe village is superb. In feng shui arrangements, it’s considered a top-class layout," the old man nodded decisively without the slightest hesitation.
Then, before Chen Yang could speak, he continued: "But the only flaw is the stream at the village head is too small. If the stream could be excavated and widened, the double dragon setup would rise to a higher level."
When the old man said this, Chen Yang instinctively glanced toward the stream at the village head.
He found that the stream was indeed too small, with only a trickle passing through the village head and then flowing elsewhere.
In feng shui, ’feng’ means wind, and ’shui’ means water, emphasizing both elements.
"Ha ha, rising to a higher level is unnecessary. Could you please just perform the ritual? I’m not interested in these feng shui layouts," Chen Yang said with a smile.
Feng shui is just for fun; he’s not a serious person.
Is it really necessary to widen the stream just because of the old man’s words? That’s unnecessary.
The old man probably saw Chen Yang’s thoughts, so he didn’t persuade him further and instead nodded with a smile and continued talking.
"Such arrangements as those in Liuhe village are hard to come by nowadays. The Dragon Ball beneath our feet is also a great place; if utilized well, it can nurture people."
The old man said to himself, then stopped staying here.
After speaking, he turned and started walking back along the way they came.
Seeing this, Chen Yang didn’t say much and quietly returned to the village with him.
Upon reaching the village entrance, the old man began instructing his disciple to prepare for the ritual.
The location for the ritual was chosen at the village head.
Chen Yang asked if anything was needed.
The old man’s requirement was simple: "Just get me a table suitable for conducting the ritual."
"Alright."
Chen Yang agreed directly. Instead of going back to fetch one, he borrowed a table from Uncle Niu’s house at the village head.
With the table, the old man’s disciple began setting it up.
Things like incense burners and scriptures were all placed on the table.
The setup was no less impressive than those of Dao Hong’s ritual.
Seeing this, Chen Yang felt at ease.
The biggest fear is when someone has real skills but can’t do the flashy, convincing stuff.
In rituals like this, the main thing is that the process looks impressive, ensuring peace of mind for everyone.
Seeing the old man and his disciple setting up, without much he could do, Chen Yang didn’t stay long at the village head and turned to return to the clinic for a bit.
On the way, he met Wu Kexin and Dai Annie coming from the village center.
"Chen Yang!"
From a distance, Dai Annie saw Chen Yang and greeted him enthusiastically.
Chen Yang responded with a smile, then waited until they approached before asking: "How’s it going? Has everyone in the village been informed?"
"Kexin and I informed everyone; they will come after work."
Dai Annie replied excitedly.
"That’s good," Chen Yang nodded in satisfaction.
"Hey Chen Yang, where’s the mage? Why are you alone?" Wu Kexin suddenly noticed Chen Yang was alone here.
Chen Yang pointed back to the village head: "The mage is preparing there. Since I couldn’t be of any help, I thought I’d go rest and come back when it officially starts."
Upon hearing this, Wu Kexin immediately said: "That’s not right; the mage came from so far away, it’s too discourteous."
"Yeah, exactly, they came with us from afar and didn’t charge anything. It’s not right," Dai Annie also voiced her dissatisfaction beside her.
Facing their joint criticism, Chen Yang was helpless.
He truly couldn’t help, and from his perspective, the old man came to repay a favor, so there shouldn’t be anything wrong with his actions!
"How about you both go and stay there first? I’ll grab some stuff and head over myself, alright?" Chen Yang said helplessly.
"That sounds better."
Wu Kexin said, then took Dai Annie and walked towards the village head.
Chen Yang shook his head helplessly and returned to the clinic alone.
After returning to the clinic, Chen Yang first lay down to rest for a while; noticing the time was getting late, he got up to bring a basket to pick some fruits from the wild orchard and took them to the village head.
By now, the altar at the village head was set.
The old man, who previously wore simple clothes, had now changed into an old robe.
Though the clothes were old, the powerful energy and spirit exuding from his body made him appear imposing.
Additionally, the altar setup, though simple, gave a sense of reverting to simplicity, feeling very sacred and solemn.
No need to mention the actual items; the setup was impressive nonetheless.
Seeing this, Chen Yang was very satisfied inside.
