Peerless Immortal Emperor in City
Chapter 26: The God Among Men!
Qin Heng's calm voice resonated throughout the entire gymnasium.
The miserable appearance of Lucas and Berg reflected in everyone's eyes, as the silent crowd of two thousand people watched Qin Heng in disbelief.
He won!
He really won!
And he won so effortlessly, just like an adult toying with a child.
If it weren't for the scene where Lucas easily defeated Zhou Hong of the Hua Wu Club just moments ago, many would have thought Lucas was just a paper tiger with no real strength at all.
The unforeseen victory left everyone dumbfounded.
However, the joy of victory would never stay silent.
So, after a brief moment of quiet, the entire gymnasium erupted with cheers like a tsunami.
"Incredible! Qin Heng, you're so strong!!"
"What an 'ant's strength daring to compete with the heavens!' Domineering, invincible!!"
"Hahaha! Take that, you arrogant white-skinned trash! Qin Heng is just too good! Awesome!"
The cheers were deafening, almost enough to lift the roof off the gymnasium.
Chu Yun, listening to the ubiquitous cheers and looking at Qin Heng's heroic figure on the stage, felt her heart bloom with joy, her pretty face flushed, wishing she could immediately rush up to him and throw herself into his arms to express the joy in her heart.
Ultimately, she was shy and reserved, merely gazing at Qin Heng from below the stage, full of joy, yet not daring to actually act.
Meanwhile, Zhou Hong, the president of the Hua Wu Club, directly knelt on the ground.
Looking at Qin Heng on the stage, he felt as if he was witnessing a Martial Dao God!
Lucas, who seemed unstoppable to him, and possibly the even stronger Berg, seemed like mere ants in his presence, easily crushed into severe injuries with a flick of his hand!
Li Hecai and the others also breathed a sigh of relief.
Previously, wherever Lucas went, victory followed. It was a nightmare!
Finally, his myth was ended at Tianhai No.1 Middle School, and it ended so thoroughly.
Qin Heng was like a mighty Heavenly God, effortlessly subduing these rabble-rousing demons!
"AAHH!!" Suddenly, Lucas roared, pointing and shouting, "I don't accept this! I don't accept it!! I had just gone through two fights and expended a lot of energy before fighting you. In your Chinese terms, this is taking advantage of someone in their moment of weakness! You are despicable, shameless!!"
For this proud and arrogant American genius, who compared himself to the Sun God, it was unbearable to lose to a Chinese person, especially in such a crushing defeat, without the slightest chance to fight back!
He felt it was a tremendous humiliation!
When he returned to America, he would surely be mocked by family, friends, and classmates!
Therefore, making excuses was necessary.
Qin Heng, who was about to leave, stopped in his tracks. He looked at Lucas and said indifferently, "It seems you've forgotten the story I just told you. Offending me was a disaster that could extend to your companions and even your country.
Now I've been merciful enough to spare you, yet you are unappreciative, even slandering me. That is courting death. Barbarian, you clearly have no idea what sort of existence you're facing."
The moment he finished speaking, Qin Heng had already approached Lucas, looking down at him and the collapsed Berg on the ground. His gaze swept over their injuries, and his eyes narrowed.
Nicole, who was not far away, subtly changed her expression. As the strongest of the three, she faintly sensed the increasingly dangerous aura emanating from Qin Heng and quickly rushed over.
"Respected Martial Arts Grandmaster from China, I am Nicole from America." She bowed respectfully to Qin Heng but precisely placed herself in front of him and said, "My partner here is just a bit impulsive. Please don't take his words to heart."
"Impulsiveness demands punishment," Qin Heng looked at her indifferently and said, "Since you just called me Grandmaster, you should know there's a saying, 'A Grandmaster must not be insulted,' and since Lucas just slandered me, naturally he must pay the price."
"It's only a matter of words, why must you be so aggressive?" Nicole frowned, her beautiful face showing a look of distress which only added to her charm.
"Your command of Chinese is impressive, even using idioms," Qin Heng complimented her, smiling. "However, you're missing a point. I am not being aggressive; I'm merely punishing them. Ants defy the heavens with their clamor and must naturally suffer the consequences of Heavenly Might, and that's what they are – ants!"
"So you're saying you consider yourself to be the heavens?" Nicole shook her head, saying, "I have never met anyone as conceited as you."
"Heavens? No, I have walked above the heavens," Qin Heng gently shook his head. "My level is something you will never understand. Step aside. You've not been disrespectful to me; I won't harm you."
"No, I cannot just stand by and watch you continue to hurt my comrades," Nicole took a slight step back but still stood in front of Qin Heng, her fists clenched and her gaze serious. "Come then, you'll have to defeat me to bring down your Heavenly Might!"
"Nicole! Fight with all your might! Defeat him!!" Lucas shouted through gritted teeth, "You're our B-ranked fighter, equivalent to China's Hidden Force, second only to our captain! You can definitely beat him!"
"These are the comrades you're protecting," Qin Heng said to Nicole, pointing at Lucas and smiling. "You're a good person, but it's a pity you're too naive and haven't recognized your own strength."
As soon as he finished speaking, Nicole found Qin Heng's figure had vanished from before her eyes, as if he disappeared into thin air from her line of sight.
How is that possible!
A sense of alarm surged through her, her entire body tensed up.
"You see, you really haven't recognized your own strength," Qin Heng's voice came from behind Nicole, speaking indifferently. "Nor do you know how powerful I am."
Qin Heng had somehow moved behind Nicole. His palm lightly gathered up the hairband that held her hair, and immediately, a cascade of golden hair tumbled down like a golden waterfall.
He touched Nicole's hair, which was as soft as golden silk, brought it to his nose and took a light sniff, smiling. "The scent of your shampoo is quite pleasant, not bad."
"You!?" Nicole was startled and enraged. She swiftly turned with an elbow strike towards Qin Heng, her tremendous strength whistling through the air, producing a sound even more intense than that of Lucas and Berg's.
However, Qin Heng simply sidestepped, easily evading the blow. His arm lightly circled to embrace Nicole's slender waist, his hand resting on her flat stomach, and then he flicked his wrist gently.
WHOOSH!
Nicole's entire body flew out, gliding through the air for more than ten meters before landing steadily on the ground, without even falling over.
This wasn't her maintaining balance!
This was Qin Heng utilizing his Internal Force to its peak!
"How can a human be so powerful!?" Nicole looked at Qin Heng on the platform in disbelief. Despite using all of her strength, she felt like a fragile little girl in front of him, utterly weak!
At that moment, Qin Heng was looking at Lucas lying on the ground, gently shaking his head. "Earlier you spoke of judging me, yet you didn't realize that you, an ant, are the one who should receive Heavenly Might's punishment."
CRACK!
The sound of bone breaking resonated, as Qin Heng stepped directly on and broke Lucas's leg.
"ARGH!!"
Lucas screamed in agony, his eyes rolling back as he fainted.
Berg, lying nearby, was silent as a cicada in winter, not daring to make a sound; fear had overwhelmed him completely.
Qin Heng simply glanced at him and no longer paid him any attention, stepped down from the platform, and walked over to Chu Yun, saying, "The duel is over, let's go."
"Ah?" Chu Yun was startled, the little girl somewhat confused, and subconsciously nodded, saying, "Okay, sure."
Nicole went up to the platform and joined the medical staff in treating Lucas and Berg.
As Berg lay on the stretcher, looking at Qin Heng's departing back, he couldn't help but gasp, saying, "Nicole, to what extent do you think this Chinese man is powerful?"
"…" Nicole looked on as well, her expression complex, silent for a moment before taking a deep breath.
"He is a god walking among humans!"
