Playtime's Over, CEO: She's Really Done With You
Chapter 59: Her Kiss, Her Warmth
CHAPTER 59: CHAPTER 59: HER KISS, HER WARMTH
Julian Lawson walked to the place where he kept the safe.
He opened the safe and took out the Tanzanite inside.
Under the light, the Tanzanite glowed.
He thought for a moment, took a picture of it, and returned to the chat with Serena Sterling.
[The Tanzanite you liked.]
He typed, then thought better of it, and deleted it.
Back then, she wanted to buy this Tanzanite because if she got pregnant in March, the due date would be in late December, and this Tanzanite could become the child’s birthstone.
But then he suddenly remembered, they didn’t have a child.
Everything from that night seemed to reappear in front of his eyes again.
Her smile, her kiss, the mole on her chest, the temperature of her body, and the scenes of her crying and pushing him away, saying no more.
Julian Lawson put down his phone, sat on the sofa, and looked up at the pale ceiling.
What is she doing now?
The noise on the internet is brewing so strongly, she must have seen it.
Why hasn’t she come to find him?
Has she really become more sensible, learning to be quiet and just waiting for this half year to pass, or... is this another way of her being stubborn?
Julian Lawson looked at the phone, his lips pressed tight.
He didn’t know how much time had passed.
Finally, he picked up the phone and deleted the picture of the Tanzanite.
...
On the other side, at the hospital.
Serena had returned to the ward.
After a busy night, she finally felt a bit relaxed.
Jasper Ford had gone to handle company matters and left a message for Serena before he left—"I’m going to kick Alexander Ford out right now, with the fastest being the second livestream of Heavenly Sound, and at the slowest, before the third livestream. Anyway, his days of jumping around in Ford Entertainment are numbered!"
Serena did not put on airs and expressed her support for Jasper Ford.
Right now, they were like grasshoppers tied on the same rope, and she had seen through Old Master Ford’s intention to raise competition, so both she and Jasper knew there was only winning and losing, nothing in between.
After Jasper Ford left, Bianca Lynch glanced around and walked in carrying a food box.
"Serena, coming back so late, you must be hungry." Bianca Lynch said with a smile and handed over the food box, "These are all easy-to-digest foods, best as a late-night snack."
While speaking, Bianca Lynch began to set them up for Serena.
Serena looked at Bianca’s attentive demeanor and sighed helplessly.
She could blame her miscarriage on anyone but Bianca Lynch. If Bianca hadn’t arranged for blood in advance that day, she might have lost her life due to excessive bleeding, yet Bianca had always felt guilty.
Serena had tried many ways, but nothing worked.
She could only let Bianca Lynch do what she wanted, hoping this would make her feel better.
"You’re really too thin right now; it’s heartbreaking to see. You should eat more and get better soon," Bianca said, looking worriedly at Serena.
Serena nodded and tasted it with a smile.
It was delicious.
"By the way, where did you and Ethan get these?" Serena had been curious for a long time, "Last time I asked Ethan and he didn’t say, I don’t know if he forgot or what."
Bianca smiled mysteriously at her, "Does it taste good?"
Serena nodded, not sparing the praise, "Bianca, we grew up together and went to many high-rated restaurants, but the ones you and your brother have brought over are incredibly delicious, way better than those restaurants."
"Hehe, as long as it’s good." Bianca said slyly, but didn’t clarify.
Serena squinted her eyes at Bianca and reached out to poke her forehead.
"Something’s fishy," Serena said, "You didn’t buy this from outside, did you? Tell me the truth, did you get a new chef at home who’s making these signature dishes?"
Bianca covered her forehead and glared at Serena, pouting, and murmured, "Sort of. Anyway, if you want to eat, I’ll ask him to make it."
"Alright." Serena didn’t press further.
The two of them talked for a long time.
Serena watched Bianca still fidgeting and let out a long sigh.
Thinking it over, Serena said, "Bianca, can I ask you to do something for me?"
Bianca nodded immediately, "You say it."
"In a few days, it’s the second livestream of Heavenly Sound." Serena looked at Bianca and said, "Do you have time to watch my performance?"
"Of course, I have time." Bianca nodded immediately, even if she didn’t, she would swap shifts with someone, she said, "I want to see it live!"
"Is that something you need to ask for?" Bianca protested.
Serena reached out and poked Bianca’s cheek.
"Of course it’s a request." Serena said with a smile, "Others don’t know I’m Serena Sterling, but you do. It’s a different feeling, a different meaning."
"Also," Serena continued, "I still need your help with the sound and picture quality from before."
Serena looked at Bianca’s eager face; she knew she had to plant an anchor in her mind.
She didn’t want her best friend to always feel guilty, to always be so cautious.
They were equals.
No one owed anyone.
So, the issue of livestream sound and picture quality would serve as that anchor.
If Bianca solved this, her guilt might disappear, and they could be as they were before.
More so, Bianca had gotten Sasha’s phone, and finding a data recovery expert would solve everything.
"Join in more, maybe that will solve it?" Serena said with a smile.
"You’re right!" Bianca nodded vigorously, looking full of energy.
Thus, Serena felt a bit more at ease.
Later, she would ask Jasper Ford to arrange a spot for Bianca Lynch to watch live.
Time flew by quickly, and all parties prepared.
Lately, Serena had been communicating with Miles Levin, the mentor of her team.
Although they had some differences in various concepts, they always managed to spark newer ideas.
This gave Serena a sense of regret for not meeting sooner.
Miles Levin also repeatedly expressed that it would have been better had they met earlier.
Now, since her physical condition didn’t allow, perhaps when she recovered, they could collaborate on something even better on stage.
As for Ford Entertainment, Jasper Ford was actively contending with his other two brothers and had also managed to create Serena’s performance outfit for the second livestream of Heavenly Sound.
It was still stunningly beautiful.
Vera Hansen, on the other hand, had recently quieted down a bit, only fainting from exhaustion due to previous marketing and needing rest, and...
Frequenting Lawson Tower.
Appearing inseparable from Julian Lawson.
This had made it to the trending topics several times.
As for Old Master Lawson, he was still sulking with Julian Lawson and completely ignoring him.
In such circumstances.
Soon, the 13th day of the divorce cooling-off period, the day of the second livestream of Heavenly Sound, arrived.
