"Give me a few hours—I'll be right back!" Chris announced to Theodore without providing detailed explanation, having Gardevoir teleport him away immediately.

They teleported to the edge of the abandoned town, where Chris found a suitable wall to create a Secret Base using Gardevoir's abilities.

Inside the concealed hideout, Chris retrieved a bottle of soda from the refrigerator and settled into a comfortable reclining chair.

Handheld device activation!

Chris powered up his gaming device, finding his character positioned in the Hoenn region.

With less than twelve hours remaining, traveling from other regions would consume half a day just reaching Hoenn. That would leave Chris waiting for his return to access the underground power station.

Fortunately, Chris had transferred his character back from the Galar region several days earlier, preparing to tackle the monthly dungeon in Hoenn without wasting time on unnecessary travel.

Flying to Mauville City, then using Surf to reach the underground power station.

[Enter special dungeon "Underground Power Station"? Yes/No]

[Dungeon recommended entry level: ?]

[Current power storage progress: 100%]

The power storage had reached maximum capacity.

Chris had deliberately maintained this progress during his last underground power station visit, waiting for when he could realistically attempt capturing legendary Pokémon.

"Let's see if I can gain an early advantage today!" Chris immediately entered the dungeon.

The familiar basement office environment greeted him, with one significant difference—the lighting was extraordinarily brilliant.

The underground power station at 100% power storage differed from its normal state, with illumination changing based on the legendary Pokémon generating the final "thunderbolt."

This represented valuable experience Chris had gained from several 100% power storage encounters.

Red light indicated Zapdos, golden light signified Raikou, light blue suggested Thundurus, and extremely bright illumination meant Regieleki.

Thus far, Chris had only encountered these four Electric-type legendary Pokémon in the underground power station.

Judging by this session's lighting, this was undoubtedly Regieleki.

Chris released four Poké Balls simultaneously.

Gardevoir, Garchomp, Aggron, and Blaziken materialized.

Gardevoir immediately expanded its psychic awareness across the entire underground power station, then used Garchomp and Aggron as "coordinate anchors," teleporting them to execute Earthquake attacks wherever large groups of Pokémon congregated.

A single Earthquake was sufficient to instantly defeat any non-flying Pokémon in the area.

Adding "Rock Slide" eliminated the aerial opponents just as quickly.

Blaziken was assigned to handle isolated individual Pokémon.

From Chris's entry into the underground power station until he had cleared all dungeon Pokémon and stood before the lightning chamber entrance, exactly one minute had elapsed.

"It used to take several hours to complete this dungeon, but now it only requires one minute," Chris reflected. He had definitely made the right choice waiting to challenge legendary Pokémon until after becoming significantly stronger.

Entering the lightning chamber, the scenery suddenly expanded into a vast, brilliantly illuminated space.

An enormous chamber unfolded before him, with solid steel flooring beneath his feet and walls densely covered in electrical discharges.

A pathway extended from Chris's position directly to an elevated platform at the chamber's center.

On the platform, a strange mass of electrical energy was restrained by six blue rings that distinguished its body, arms, and legs. Seven pink dots resembling eyes adorned its form, glowing the moment Chris entered as if mechanically activated.

Above its head, name and level information appeared.

Regieleki LV85.

"Level 85..." Chris's expression tensed—this wouldn't be an easy opponent to handle.

However, having come this far, there was no choice but to fight!

Chris immediately released six Poké Balls.

Gardevoir, Greninja, Blaziken, Tyranitar, Garchomp, and Gengar appeared.

Except for Gengar, the remaining five Pokémon all underwent Mega Evolution.

Along with Chris himself, powerful winds surrounded everyone as the Jade Orb's Flying-type energy wrapped around his body, allowing him to move freely and extremely quickly without hindering his Pokémon.

Regieleki had fully activated, its lightning-composed body beginning to move restlessly.

In a flash, as if electrical current had passed by, Regieleki's form seemed to teleport to the ceiling of the lightning chamber, with sparks flickering across its chest.

It attacked first!

"Spiral Golden Water Shuriken!"

"Psychic!"

"Rock Slide!"

"Earth Power!"

"Shadow Ball!"

"Blaze Kick!" Chris issued six rapid commands consecutively.

Before his six Pokémon could execute their moves, lightning erupted from Regieleki's chest core, brilliant sparks flashing as what appeared to be an Electro Web descended from above, covering the entire lightning chamber.

Electro Web?

No—this was likely Regieleki's exclusive move "Thunder Cage"!

The six Pokémon hastily used defensive moves to resist.

Greninja's Spiral Golden Water Shuriken immediately exploded against the Thunder Cage, then the spiraling Aura Sphere emerged from the smoke but was intercepted by the tough electrical "net" like a soccer ball caught in a goal.

Mega Gardevoir abandoned Teleport attempts, choosing instead to activate Future Sight while spreading its arms in preparation to teleport all allies at any moment.

Mega Tyranitar ignored the cage entirely, roaring to summon Rock Slide bombardment against Regieleki.

Mega Garchomp, with its Ground-type immunity, completely disregarded the Thunder Cage falling from above and charged toward Regieleki, coating its two massive scythe-like appendages with khaki energy as Earth Power prepared to strike!

Gengar surrounded itself with fog, which provided extremely high evasion rates, but against large-scale area attacks, evasion proved useless, so it chose "Phantom Force" for simultaneous evasion and attack.

Amid the rock bombardment, Mega Garchomp rushed Regieleki and raised its claws to strike, while Gengar materialized behind the legendary simultaneously.

Front and rear pincer attack plus aerial bombardment coverage!

In the next moment, a terrifying scene unfolded.

Regieleki's form vanished completely, causing both Mega Garchomp's and Gengar's attacks to miss entirely.

"Garde!" Mega Gardevoir cried out in alarm.

Chris followed its gaze to discover that Regieleki had somehow appeared directly in front of Greninja, spreading its arms wide toward the Water-type.

"BZZZZZZT!!!"

Brilliant electrical energy enveloped the area.

Instantly, Greninja collapsed to the ground like a piece of charcoal.

"Damn it..." Chris gritted his teeth and cursed. Unlike Mega Evolution, the Bond Phenomenon created a closer connection between trainer and Pokémon. When Greninja suffered injury, Chris experienced a portion of that pain as well.

Now Chris felt as though countless ants were crawling across his entire body, fierce and frenzied sensations.

Numbness and agony followed in waves.
