"Here are the legendary Pokemon items collected by our Hoenn Alliance. You can take your time choosing," said the person who had brought Chris to the Hoenn Alliance's treasure vault. He was accompanied by the Alliance President and two Honorary Presidents.

The treasure vault was located directly beneath the Alliance headquarters, hidden in a secure basement. Access to this basement required three keys, held respectively by the Alliance President and the two Honorary Presidents. All three keys had to be present simultaneously to gain entry.

Only then could one view these precious Pokemon items.

Chris noticed that whether in reality or in the games, people in the Pokemon Alliance seemed to have a fondness for conducting important business in basements.

The Pokemon Inspector's headquarters was also located in a basement.

However, this vault's basement was much simpler than a Pokemon Inspector's facility.

The space measured no more than fifty square meters, with an open center area surrounded by walls on all sides.

One by one, legendary items were protected and displayed within glass cases typically used for museum exhibitions.

Beneath each glass case was a white note explaining the origin of each Pokemon item.

Chris glanced around the room and counted thirteen Pokemon items in total, which made him catch his breath in amazement.

These were thirteen legendary-level Pokemon items!

Chris couldn't wait to examine each one individually.

Stepping into the treasure vault, Chris carefully inspected each item, starting from his right side.

The first legendary item was a silver-white feather. The note beneath the glass case read: "A feather containing Flying and Psychic energy, said to originate from Lugia, the deity of monsoons and ocean currents!"

Chris's excitement was immediate!

If he guessed correctly, this should be Lugia's exclusive item, the "Silver Wing." He had just recently caught Lugia, and now he could equip it with its exclusive item—perfect timing!

Unfortunately, he couldn't see the item's specific attributes while it remained in the display case.

"Let me look at the others first," Chris suppressed his urge to take the Silver Wing immediately and continued examining the next legendary item.

The second Pokemon item appeared to be a block of ice condensed to an extreme degree, resembling stone. The note read: "Never-Melt Ice of Ten Thousand Years, discovered in an extremely cold location. According to expert appraisal, it has a history of at least 10,000 years."

Never-Melt Ice of Ten Thousand Years...

Chris had no immediate need for this item, since he wasn't currently training any Ice-type Pokemon.

However, the appearance of this item reminded Chris of something important.

In the Pokemon world, not only items related to legendary Pokemon were classified as legendary-level Pokemon items. Common Pokemon items could also be elevated to legendary status through the passage of time and special circumstances.

Just as Chris had suspected.

Most of the remaining eleven Pokemon items were legendary-level "versions" of common items.

For example, there was a Miracle Seed containing the breath of life, a Metal Coat as strong as diamond, cursed Relic Gold, and several others.

Chris was curious about how their attributes differed from standard Pokemon items, but unfortunately, he couldn't examine their specific properties while they remained in the display cases.

There were only two other Pokemon items that originated from legendary-tier Pokemon, besides Lugia's silver feather.

One was soil from the Land of Endings, and the other was seawater from the Sea of Origins.

These two items came from Groudon and Kyogre, related to their abilities after Primal Reversion. When Chris thought about it, as Hoenn's native legendary Pokemon, it would have been strange if there weren't any legendary-level items related to them.

However, neither the soil from the Land of Endings nor the seawater from the Sea of Origins could compare to the two orbs Chris already possessed.

Thirteen legendary-level Pokemon items—although they were all classified as legendary-level, it was clear that there were distinctions between them in terms of quality and power.

The best option was obviously the exclusive item for legendary Pokemon: the Silver Wing.

Next in quality were items naturally generated in the world, such as the Miracle Seed containing the breath of life and the Metal Coat as strong as diamond.

The lowest tier consisted of items that merely had some connection to legendary Pokemon abilities.

After categorizing them this way, Chris no longer needed to deliberate. He could make his decision immediately—he would take Lugia's Silver Wing!

"I choose this one," Chris announced to the Hoenn Alliance President.

"Excellent choice!" the President praised him, stepping forward with a special key to open the glass case and removing the item along with its display base.

The base was actually a presentation box, and all legendary-level Pokemon items stored here were available to those who had made significant contributions to the Alliance.

Chris took the box and immediately examined the Silver Wing's attributes.

Silver Wing: Flying and Psychic-type move power increased by 100%, immunity to Flying-type moves, Water-type damage reduced by half, immunity to whirlpool effects. (When carried by Lugia: immunity to Water-type moves, Water-type move power doubled)

"Incredible!" Chris nearly drooled with excitement.

The Silver Wing was incredibly powerful!

The 100% boost to two move types was impressive enough, but it also provided immunity to Flying-type attacks and resistance to Water-type damage. The immunity to whirlpool effects could counter moves like "Whirlpool," though that particular benefit seemed somewhat situational.

When equipped by Lugia specifically, it would also provide immunity to Water-type moves while doubling the power of Water-type attacks.

Well, although his Lugia wasn't primarily a Water-type, it had once been known as a Sea Guardian!

Chris could understand the reasoning behind these attributes. Lugia was a Pokemon that spent most of its time dwelling in the deep ocean.

"Now I have another powerhouse!" Chris rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

While Lugia might not have been as formidable as Zeraora with its Divine Thunder beforehand, it could now potentially gain the upper hand in battle against Zeraora!

The only reason Lugia couldn't defeat Zeraora before was due to type disadvantage. If they were simply competing based on raw move power, Lugia would likely emerge victorious.

This was definitely an improvement.

After equipping the Silver Wing to Lugia, Chris returned to the Alliance main hall.

His task queue was now empty, so he could only hope that new missions would appear in the future.

It wasn't just about the rewards of legendary-level Pokemon items—the missions themselves were valuable experiences.

All three of his previous quests had been related to legendary Pokemon. Chris refused to believe this was merely coincidence.

According to his theory, as a Champion, the missions assigned to him would naturally be high-level tasks involving legendary Pokemon.

If he could capture Lugia during one mission, then why couldn't he potentially capture Ho-Oh, Giratina, or Dialga in future missions?

What wonderful possibilities to imagine!

But that was getting ahead of himself.

Chris turned around and yawned deeply.

He was feeling a bit tired today, but tomorrow he would depart for the Johto Region to continue his adventures.
