Misty dropped to one knee, blood trickling from her wounds as she stared wide-eyed at the sky. Trembling, she couldn't hold back the joy bubbling in her chest.

She had never expected Logan to not only survive a one-on-one battle against Sabrina—but to win. Although his body was covered in injuries, his energy was undiminished. The look in his eyes, the confident posture—he had clearly crushed her.

"H-How… how is this possible?! You?! Where's Lady Sabrina?!"

The Rocket Squad leader cried out in disbelief. Panic flashed in his eyes as he glanced around wildly, as if hoping Sabrina would suddenly appear to save them.

"If you guys make it out of here alive, maybe you can help bury your dear Lady Sabrina. She's currently entombed under that mountain over there. If you're lucky, you might even find her bones."

Logan's voice was sharp and cold, cutting through the air like icewater. The way he said it sent chills down every Rocket member's spine.

"Quit lying, brat! Lady Sabrina is the Golden Gym's leader! There's no way she'd lose to you!"

The Rocket leader roared, his glare burning with hatred. The other members around him mirrored his fury with bloodshot eyes and twisted faces full of venom.

Logan could feel it—this wasn't fake outrage. These grunts worshipped Sabrina.

"Well, I'll be damned. Didn't think Sabrina was so revered in Team Rocket. I suppose it makes sense—an icy queen like her must've captivated every man with a pulse. Too bad your goddess Sabrina... is nothing more than my plaything now. Hahaha!"

Logan laughed wildly, his voice laced with cruelty. At that moment, he didn't look like a hero—he looked like a villain.

"You bastard! How dare you insult Lady Sabrina!"

"Send out our Flying-types! Kill him!!"

Chaos erupted. The grunts scrambled to act, but before any of them could reach for their Pokéballs—

Logan beat them to it.

"Gabite—Dragon Rush!"

A Pokéball flew from the sky. In a flash of light, a blazing meteor cut across the sky as Gabite descended like a divine spear. Its entire body ignited with friction against the air, letting out a searing roar as it accelerated faster than the eye could track.

In a split second, Gabite tore through the combined magnetic field of the Magnemite, snapped Gloom's vines restraining Gyarados, and slammed into Gyarados itself with a thunderous impact.

BOOM—

Dust exploded. The ground split open, forming a crater three meters deep and dozens of meters wide. Humans and Pokémon caught in the blast radius were flung like leaves in a storm.

At the epicenter, those hit directly were crushed into the debris—there was no way they'd survive.

Gyarados collapsed in the crater, its scales shredded and torn. Blood pooled beneath it. From the sky, Logan shouted,

"What are you doing, Misty?! Even if it's gone berserk, Gyarados is still your Pokémon! Hurry, recall it!"

Snapped out of her shock, Misty hastily threw out a Pokéball and returned her Gyarados.

Logan also recalled Gabite and gave a cold snort.

"If you can't bring yourself to strike it, then I will do it for you. Mewtwo—wipe them out."

He snapped his fingers with flair, as if issuing the decree of death itself. Mewtwo gave a cold, knowing smirk. With a flick of three fingers, it clenched downward at the ground.

Countless pebbles and shards of stone floated upward, as if gravity had suddenly reversed. The air twisted violently under the pressure of psychic energy. Light warped. Temperature soared—air combusted on its own from the power distortion.

"No!!"

The Rocket members choked as they clutched at their necks, feeling their lungs crushed by the sudden shift in pressure. Their eyes bulged in terror. Even their Pokémon began to float uncontrollably into the air.

SKREEEEEE—

An ear-piercing screech, like metal being twisted into a spiral, rang out. Earth, trees, and even boulders were pulled inward—ripped apart into dust, scattered like ash into the wind.

"...Future Sight. The longer it's been prepared, the more devastating its power becomes. From the moment I first saw you people, Mewtwo had already cast the move."

Logan's voice was eerily calm as he looked down at the ruin below. Even a chunk of the mountain had been torn away. What little remained—twisted trees, torn roots, mangled debris—was unrecognizable. Nothing remained larger than a fist. While it wasn't as apocalyptic as Mewtwo's past feat of sinking an entire island, the destruction here was horrifying nonetheless.

Through this glimpse, Logan reflected on the true might of legendary Pokémon—beings powerful enough to reshape continents and boil oceans.

And yet, as terrible as they were, it wasn't impossible to resist them.

He recalled how Lance's Aerodactyl had once used Hyper Beam with power not far from this. Even Gabite's Dragon Rush had reached levels of terrifying devastation.

It proved one thing—Logan's training method was undeniably right.

That's what made Pokémon amazing. Even in the face of seemingly invincible power, survival wasn't out of the question. Some Rocket grunts had, incredibly, escaped—some digging into the ground, some flying away on Pokémon, some riding to safety.

Logan didn't bother chasing them. He didn't need to.

Once the survivors had fled, Logan immediately recalled Mewtwo into the Master Ball. It had been a short battle, thankfully—any longer and Mewtwo's cells would've begun corroding his body again.

That was exactly why he hadn't gone head-to-head with Sabrina in open combat. She was no glass cannon—she could drag out a fight. And if Mewtwo's time ran out mid-battle, Logan would die.

"So this is the Mewtwo Professor Oak and Agatha spoke of… It really is incredible. Just one Pokémon, and it can defeat an entire team of Gym Leaders."

Misty murmured, her voice dazed. She watched as Logan descended from the sky, standing proudly on Gabite's shoulder.

"I want to thank you, Logan," she smiled weakly. "But I can't pretend I didn't see what you just did to Gyarados. That was brutal."

She tried to joke, reaching for his outstretched hand. But the moment relief washed over her, her mind went blank. Her pain caught up all at once—and she blacked out.

"...I respect your decision, Misty."

Logan caught her in his arms, letting out a faint sigh.

Humans are not made of stone.

He thought to himself: If it were his Gabite being tortured, he likely would've made the same call. He wouldn't be able to strike. He would hesitate. He would falter.

Which is why—you must become stronger.

Strong enough that no one dares threaten you.

Strong enough that even your weakest Pokémon can shake the heavens and shatter the earth.
