CHAPTER 24: BATTLE SPAR

Prince Hetu’s battle spar challenge came at the right time. It was perfect for Caden who is heavily restricted at the moment.

He wanted to test out his physical strength and capabilities.

How strong he was in the absence of his Mana Core.

Caden was on Sword Level cultivation, like the three princes. They were only above him with a stage.

They were all still Sword Level, Sword Apprentice.

But he was different from them, he had the Primordial Dragon Physique, an SSS-Ranked one-time consumable skill.

Primordial Dragon Physique Level 1 starts from the realm of a Sword Level Sword Knight.

He may be a Sword Apprentice by natural cultivation but he has the physical strength of an amplified Sword Knight.

He was stronger, faster and more durable than the three princes.

Caden’s eyes gleamed, he stayed still for a few minutes. Still retaining his gentle smile.

His silence confused everyone. The fact that he was still smiling meant Prince Hetu’s battle spar challenge didn’t anger him.

Caden breathed in deeply "Prince Hetu, this is quite an interesting situation, I really want to battle spar as well"

"But I just recently survived an assassination attempt and during the process, I had to recklessly activate my S-Ranked Innate Skill without properly understanding it"

"I suffered some pretty intense backlash which sealed my Mana Core, for now....I cannot fight while using mana" Caden had already prepared a good excuse beforehand.

If he accepted the battle spar challenge. He would need to use his mana or else it would be a sign of insult to the princes.

He used his assassination attempt to escape the suspicions as to why his Mana Core is sealed.

Everyone looked at him pitifully, they didn’t doubt him for one bit. They all knew that Innate Skills do not draw out strength from the Mana Core.

Instead, it draws out strength from the user’s physical body or gives the user unknown aftereffects after use.

If it were to be an A-ranked Innate Skill, they would have suspected Caden and seen through his lies.

But S-Ranked Innate Skills are beyond boundaries. There can only be one S-Ranked Skill in this world.

No one knows how heavy the price one can pay if they use an S-Ranked Innate Skill, not to mention recklessly using it just a few moments after awakening it.

They chose to instantly believe Caden without a single doubt in their hearts.

Prince Hetu sighed softly, he cupped his hands before Caden, still smiling "I’m sorry about that Prince Caden, but I’m still interested in our battle spar"

"Since your Mana Core is currently sealed. I won’t use mine as well" Prince Hetu said respectfully.

Caden shook his head, "No, no, no, there’s no need for that." Caden paused, his words startling everyone. "What do you mean by that, Prince Caden?" Prince Hetu curiously asked.

Caden slowly approached him "We’re both Sword Level, Sword Apprentices after all....you are only superior with a stage, I can still withstand some attacks"

"And besides, I want to test the limits of my body," Caden explained.

He wasn’t lying, he wanted to test the limits of a Level 1 Primordial Dragon Physique.

Prince Hetu nodded with a smile, not rejecting Caden’s respect anymore. His two brothers had to move back.

The knight captains and higher-tier knights did the same as well. They gave space for the two princes to battle spar.

Prince Kaid and Prince Viktor are both standing beside each other. Prince Kaid folded his arms. "Brother Viktor, who do you think would win in this battle?" Asked Kaid.

Prince Viktor chuckled softly "Who else if not Brother Hetu? Prince Caden might be popular and strong, after all he had a Mana Aptitude of 10% and awakened an S-Ranked Innate Skill "

"Not only that.....he also eradicated a beast tide of Snow Goblins, he’s very strong" Prince Viktor paused "But right now he’s fighting without mana, Brother Hetu has the edge"

"He will win" Prince Viktor was certain with his evaluation. Prince Kaid stayed quiet, he couldn’t help but sigh.

After a few minutes of setting the rules, it was time for the battle spar to begin. Both Caden and Prince Hetu stood on the stage.

They locked eyes. Prince Hetu had a serious expression, while Caden was still smiling brightly.

The moment the battle sparring began. Prince Hetu was the first to attack, his green Mana Core was exposed.

He vanished into thin air, appearing right behind Caden. He swung his leg, aiming for a destructive kick.

But Caden blocked the kick with his right arm, the collision created a miniature shockwave.

This shocked everyone.

How was Caden able to read Prince Hetu’s speed?

There was only one answer; the Primordial Dragon Physique.

With the Primordial Dragon Physique always active. Caden’s senses were heightened, not only did he become faster.

His eyes could even read the momentum of every living being. Whether they were fast or slow.

No one was too fast for him, for now at least.

"What?" Prince Hetu exclaimed as Caden blocked his kick. Caden’s reaction speed was beyond understanding.

He swiftly reacted and made his move as well. After blocking Prince Hetu’s speed, he didn’t give Prince Hetu a chance to recover mid-air.

He grabbed Prince Hetu’s leg, amplifying force, not even Prince Hetu could escape his grasp.

With a single swing, Prince Hetu was sent flying into the air. All this happened without Caden even turning back.

Prince Hetu was stupefied. But he quickly regained his composure, drawing out mana from his Mana Core.

His eyes flickered as he charged down from the air. His gaze locked onto his target.

Without hesitation, Prince Hetu activated another attack. His body swelled up like a balloon.

With intense green mana flowing into him. He had already expanded in size, his body was elastic, like a round ball, his weight increased ten times.

Aiming to crush Caden at lightning speed. This was the first time Caden was truly reacting.

He raised his head to see a round balloon-sized entity descend from the sky at lightning speed.

His eyes gleamed. "Let me test out my strength" He mumbled, lifting his right hand into the air.

His action shocked everyone. Seeing that Caden had no intentions of dodging Prince Hetu’s inflation attack.

Their eyes flickered with uncertainty.

"What the hell is Prince Caden doing?"

"Is he crazy or what?"

"Is he trying to tank that attack? Prince Hetu in that form is ten times stronger, even his bouncing weight is too strong"

"Does Prince Caden have the strength to block that attack?"

Whispers echoed through the crowd. The two princes were completely dumbstruck as they watched in reticence.

Caden raised his right hand into the air, in an attempt to block the enormous green ball descending at lightning speed.

A collision occurred, this time....a terrifying shockwave swept through the battle arena as the ground quaked.

Everyone raised their heads to see that Caden had not only withstood the attack. He had also caught Prince Hetu’s inflated ball-shaped object mid-air

This was extremely shocking.

Prince Hetu returned to normal, and he quickly fell back. Creating a distance between himself and Caden.

His body quivered, he couldn’t believe his eyes. He had believed only a Sword Level, Sword Knights, and above could block his attack.

But Caden did it so effortlessly while being at Sword Level, Sword Apprentice....and middle stage at that.

"What exactly are you?" Prince Hetu blinked, upon hearing that question. Caden couldn’t help but chuckle.

His eyes gleamed with excitement "What do you mean by that? I’m Prince Caden of course"
