Primordial Ascension: Starting out with Three Ultimate Skills
Chapter 37: Dragon-Resonance (1)
CHAPTER 37: DRAGON-RESONANCE (1)
Although Caden showed no signs of fear in the presence of the chief advisor Benjamin Ortega.
He was flustered by the words of that man.
He knew the chief advisor was an undercover spy sent by the Red Empire specially to deal with King Alex.
Benjamin was the reason King Alex died mysteriously in the past and if he isn’t scared of exposing his intentions to Caden.
It means one of two things.
Either the chief advisor doesn’t consider Caden a threat and knows Caden doesn’t have any evidence against him.
Or he’s certain that Caden Ryder will surely die.
Caden was already leaning towards the second, he knew by the tone of the chief advisor.
Something that’s going to happen in the Valor Royal Academy.
Especially to him.
**
Caden returned back to his chamber and so did his elder brother Kane, they both took their graded weapons with them.
The rest of the princes were called by the King as well.
But they all were asked to choose a 1st graded weapon, nothing higher than that.
Only Prince Caden and Prince Kane were given the privilege of having 4th graded weapons.
They scored the highest in the Emerald Awakening Ceremony after all.
The wooden door creaked open as Caden stepped into his chamber, he softly exhaled "In my past life, I was able to survive because the chief advisor never considered me as a threat"
"Nor was I useful, only Prince Kane who was guaranteed to succeed the king was placed on high importance"
"Now my regression has completely altered history" Caden paused for a second, he tightly clenched onto the sheathed scabbard he held.
"The Reds will surely make sure I stay dead" Caden unsheathed his blade, he felt it.
The power of the 4th grade weapon.
The will of the Celestial Dragon Blade which resonated with his soul, "No wonder father couldn’t make use of such a weapon"
Caden’s eyes gleamed as he observed the blade’s intricate designs "It was crafted using both the Mana Core of a dragon and the flesh of a dragon as well"
"Probably Great Principality Supreme Conqueror believed this was a more adequate weapon to use against the dragons"
His lips curled into a faint smile "Now it’s mine" He swung the graded weapon in the air.
His Mana Core was exposed, revealing a Mana Aptitude of 16.98%
His eyes flickered as he could feel his mana seeping out of him and the Celestial Dragon Blade flickered.
He was stunned when the blade sliced through space itself, he could see the crack in the air even if it was only for a few seconds.
He quickly sheathed his blade back "This should be perfect for my SSS-Ranked Swordmanship Skill: Dragon-Resonance"
"I wonder why such a weapon is 4th grade, it should have been a 9th graded weapon to be honest"
Caden’s eyes widened in shock, he recalled a particular someone.
"Alyssa.....she is a Sword Grandmaster, the perfect spar partner to test out my SSS-Ranked Swordmanship Skill: Dragon-Resonance"
Caden stayed in his room until the sky turned dark. And when it was night time, he snucked out of his chamber.
He dived down from the window, landing on the ground without making any sound.
He quickly left the White Jade Castle without anyone’s notice. Not even the royal guards could detect his speed.
Making his way into a mountain area, one of the hundreds of mountains owned by the 90th supreme kingdom, Morningstar.
It was nighttime, if he was an ordinary human.
He wouldn’t be able to see in the dark but he has the B-Ranked Skill: Dragon’s Vision.
Granting him the ability to not only see far, but even see heat signatures of entities hidden.
With the skill, he could see clearly in the night.
Arriving at the southern area, Caden’s movements came to a halt, his lips curled into a faint smile "It’s good to see you came here on time" He spoke.
Behind him stood his summoned servant, Alyssa Silversword. She’s still dressed in her battle armor.
Alyssa exhaled softly "I am your summoned servant, your command shall I obey"
"I arrived few hours ago to make sure there were no hidden threats in this mountain area"
"I can guarantee this is a safe zone" Alyssa bowed her head as Caden slightly tilted his head towards her.
Caden nodded with a smile "I trust you, let’s proceed with why we are here in the first place"
"There are a few things I would like to confirm" Caden slowly unsheathed his blade.
Alyssa’s eyes flickered at the sight of the graded weapon "That is the Celestial Dragon Blade, why is it currently 4th grade?" She asked.
Caden’s eyebrows curled up, he had a confused look written on his face "Huh? Shouldn’t it be 4th grade?" He asked.
Alyssa shook her head with a smile "Master, you should know that I’m an entity from the legendary immemorial era as you call it"
"That weapon was once owned by the Great Principality Supreme Conqueror" Her words confirmed the Information given to him by the Primordial System.
She continued "It was created using the Mana Core of a Dragon Lord, and the flesh of three Dragon level commanders"
"Great Principality Supreme Conqueror was only able to use it after experimenting on himself"
"Combining his human cells with dragon’s cells to create something known as a Dragonman" She explained.
Caden’s eyes widened in shock at the mention of his current race "Was he the first Dragonman?" He asked.
Alyssa shook her head "I’m afraid not, back then, there have been reports of a few Dragonmen in history but it was all buried by Great Principality Supreme Conqueror"
"That weapon you hold was originally a 10th graded weapon...one of the strongest graded weapons ever created"
"It went missing during my time.....I don’t know how it got to the Purple Continent or how it lost six of it’s grades and became a 4th graded weapon"
Caden gulped, swallowing his saliva, he couldn’t believe his ears. If it was anyone else, it would have doubted those reports.
But Alyssa originally is someone from the legendary immemorial era and she knows the Great Principality Supreme Conqueror too well.
She wouldn’t lie to her master.
Caden giggled "So this is originally a 10th graded weapon huh?" His smiles broadened "It seems I got lucky to have such a treasure in my possession"
While he was amazed by his graded weapon. He received a familiar notification alert.
’Ding!’
[You’ve received a special task]
Caden’s eyebrows furrowed "A special task? Which Redman am I killing again?" He muttered.
[Learn the truth of the Dragonmen]
[Task Reward:???]
[Task Duration: Indefinite]
[Task Penalty:???]
Caden’s gulped, swallowing, his eyes narrowed as he went through the Informations.
Sensing the changes in his expression, she asked "Master, is there any problem?" She asked.
Caden shook his head with a smile "It’s nothing, I just recalled something that’s all"
"Why don’t we begin?" He asked, Alyssa nodded, slowly unsheathing her blade as well.
Caden’s eyes glued to her weapon, although she had used it during the hunt for Red spies.
But this was the first time he’s noticing it.
Her weapon is a graded weapon, a 9th graded weapon as well.
The only difference between her 9th graded weapon and his father’s 9th grade is the fact that the essence of her weapon is concealed.
No one would know unless they actually clashed against her.
Alyssa understood his train of thoughts by just observing his expression, she couldn’t help but smile "I know it’s a 9th graded weapon but I will only use thirty percent of it’s power"
"After all.....what you’re about to activate is an SSS-Ranked Skill, an ultimate skill!"
Caden’s eyes flickered when the transparent cyan panel appeared before his eyes.
[Would you like to activate the SSS-Ranked Swordmanship Skill: Dragon-Resonance?]
[Yes] [No]
Caden stretched forth his hand, he clicked the Yes icon.
