CHAPTER 40: SECOND SUMMON

Five days went by quick and it was time for Caden to depart from the White Jade Castle.

His next destination is the Valor Royal Academy.

One of the thirty royal academies of the Purple Continent. Sponsored by the Supreme Council.

It was morning already, Caden had woken up few days ago to get dressed, this time....he was putting on his uniform.

Every royal academy has their own rules and regulations, having their personal uniforms.

And they’re mostly known to be competitive amongst themselves, to reach the highest rank.

Valor Royal Academy is currently ranked 6th amongst the thirty royal academies of the Purple Continent.

Caden would be entering as a freshman, as a first year student.

Valor Royal Academy just like the other academies have three year sessions but two semesters.

A semester is six month which is half of the year.

And there are about a total of five thousand successors admitted as freshmen.

Caden is included of course.

Since he hasn’t gone through any physical test or written examinations. He is yet to receive a specific class.

He’s yet to choose between the Magecraft Class and Sword Level cultivation class.

When he arrives at the academy, that’s when he would know which class to follow.

Caden softly yawned, he could be seen dressed in white and black lined royal uniform.

Caden was still thinking about the strange special quest he had received. "How am I going to learn about the truth of the Dragonmen?" He mumbled.

He heard a knock on his door "Come in" Caden’s voice was heard.

The door creaked open as Alyssa Silversword stepped into the room, she was also properly dressed.

Since the King adhered to the suggestion of Caden. Alyssa who’s currently Mona will be his guardian.

His sword that would protect him no matter the situation.

As Alyssa stepped into the room, she bowed her head before her master "Good morning master" She greeted.

Caden nodded with a smile "Good morning Alyssa, hope you slept well?" He asked. Alyssa softly exhaled.

"I’m a summoned servant" Alyssa answered, she paused for a second before continuing "I technically cannot be classified as a normal human"

"I’m linked with the SSS-Ranked Summoning Skill: Call to Glory, my body has endless supply of mana so I can’t get tired even if I want to" She explained.

Caden was amused by her answer "Is my SSS-Ranked Summoning Skill: Call to Glory that special?" He asked, "I thought it simply summoned a character, they should still be a human" Caden chipped.

Alyssa’s smile broadened "We’re humans of course, we’re just special humans since as long as you exist"

"We cannot run out of mana.....that is the connection between we summoned servants and our summoner" She stated.

Caden’s lips curled faintly "If that’s so, then I think I should make use of the empty slot I have"

"You see, my ultimate skill opens an empty summoning slot once every thirty days, the thirty days is already over"

"There’s a new empty summoning slot and I can use my SSS-Ranked Summoning Skill: Call to Glory once again"

He breathed in deeply "Since I know what will happen in the Valor Royal Academy, I should get prepared for anything right?" He asked.

Alyssa nodded, she quickly stepped back. Shutting the door and locking it from inside.

Even the windows were closed to prevent anyone from seeing what was going to happen next.

"Status" Caden mumbled.

Just then a virtual cyan panel appeared before his eyes once again. This time, it knew what he wanted.

Without hesitation, Caden clicked the Yes icon and just like when he summoned Alyssa.

He could feel it once again.

The air seemed to shimmer and distort, as if reality itself was parting to reveal a figure.

A handsome man emerged, his black skin glistened in the light.

His hair was a wild tangle of blue locks, cascading down his back like a midnight waterfall.

His eyes, a piercing blue, seemed to bore into the soul, intelligent and calculating.

He was dressed in a black assasin’s outfit, the fabric hugging his physique in all the right places.

Two sheathed scabbards hung at his hips, crossed over his lower back, each one bearing the promise of a deadly blade.

The man’s presence was undeniable, his very being exuding an aura of lethality and power.

His eyes scanned through the room, he stood there, confident and unwavering.

The air around him seemed to vibrate with an expectant energy, as if he was a coiled spring, waiting to unleash his full fury.

Caden gulped, swallowing his saliva, he stumbled backwards, sensing her master in distress.

Alyssa tightened her grip on her scabbard, threatening to draw out her blade any second.

A faint smile appeared on the mysterious figure’s lips. This time his eyes were fixed on his master.

He suddenly fell to his knees, bowing his head before Caden "Do not be scared master, I was just curious to see I’m still alive"

"I thought that bastard, Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror had killed me" He spoke.

His voice gentle yet still oozed with authority.

Seeing this, Alyssa restrained the urge to attack and Caden calmed himself down, suddenly he recalled.

His eyes widened in shock "Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror? You must be from Second Legendary Victorian Era"

Hearing Caden utter those words, the mysterious figure slowly raised his head "Is that so?"

"What is this era and how long has it been since my time?" Caden could see the curiousity burning within this summoned servant.

He softly exhaled "There are three legendary victorian era, the first legendary victorian era was ruled by the Northern Immortal Supreme Conqueror"

"The second legendary victorian era was ruled by the Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror and the third legendary victorian era was ruled by Wicked Witch Supreme Conqueror"

"Those three legendary eras existed fifty thousand years ago"

"To be precise, the second legendary victorian era which was ruled by the Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror existed seventy thousand years ago"

"Too far from this present day" Caden explained.

The mysterious figure nodded with a smile "Then I guess that old bastard, Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror should be dead already"

He slowly stood up from his knees, still smiling "I have nothing to fear...I don’t even how I got chosen to be summoned by the system"

"But I do know that I have a new master...one to be quite young and quite too weak" He said while slowly scratching his hair.

His words caused Alyssa to growl, she felt like attacking but Caden held her back.

He wasn’t bothered by the words of this summoned servant, he took a step forward "Yes, I have to admit...."

"I’m quite weak at the moment and you’re strong, I’m certain you have a mentality that looks down on those weaker than you right?" Caden asked.

The mysterious figure nodded "Well that’s true, back in the day...I was a powerful Sword Level, Sword General and a figure infamous as the ungodly reaper"

"If I hadn’t betrayed that old geezer, Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror...I wouldn’t have died that quickly" He sighed deeply.

Both Caden and Alyssa were overwhelmed with shock "Did you just say the ungodly reaper?" Caden asked.

The mysterious figure nodded, his white teeths were shone as he boasted "Hehehehe, I won’t be surprised if my name was talked about from generations to generations down till this day"

"I should introduce myself propery" He said, bowing his head before Caden once again "This name is Frey, Frey Blade"

Caden was frozen at the mention of that name, this was the only confirmation he needed.

Frey Blade, a Blackman who terrorized the ten continents alongside the Blade Clan seventy thousand years ago.

He was the bastard son of the villainous Dark Emperor Supreme Conqueror.

The Blade Clan were the progenitors of the shadow path skills. And Frey was an expert in this path.

The one known as the Ungodly Reaper.

Alyssa gulped "To think I would be seeing such a monster in my time, even if we fought to the death"

"I doubt I’ll win" Alyssa understood her limits. Frey Blade slightly tilted his gaze, he winked at the beauty in front of him.

"It’s quite good to see this beauty has some brains, from your smell....I can tell you are also a summoned servant like me"

"Since it was an ultimate skill that used. It has the strength to summon even Sword Generals like us"

"But you know...even if we are Sword Generals, there are always the weaker ones and the stronger ones"

"I’m part of the stronger ones" Frey Blade bragged but even Alyssa could not dare retort.
