CHAPTER 41: SHADOW CLOAK

Caden was left dumbfounded after having summoned another character from a legendary era.

But this time, he summoned one of the crazy and infamous figure recorded in history, a notorious genocidal maniac of the Blade Clan.

Someone who only followed the orders of a Conqueror.

The Ungodly Reaper, Frey Blade.

Caden read the Informations displayed on the transparent cyan panel. He confirmed something.

Even though both summoned servants were Sword Level, Sword Generals during their era.

Due to the System’s restrictions. They became Sword Level, Sword Grandmasters.

This meant majority of their skills are sealed for the time being.

But Caden was already in a state of panic. Alyssa Silversword is one thing, she is an hybrid.

It was easy for him to disguise her since she still has the scent of a Purpleman. He only dyed her hair color, and gave her the name Mona.

But Frey is a completely different story. He’s a full blooded Blackman and carries the scent of one.

Blackmen are unique colored race, while other colored race are known for their hair color and eye color.

Blackmen are black skinned but they naturally their hair are multi colored, making them unique.

Like Frey Blade who is a Blackman yet possessing blue hair and blue eyes. It’s natural.

He could disguise Alyssa because of her fair skin, all Purplemen are fair skinned so it was easy.

But Frey Blade’s black skin is easily noticable.

There was no way he could hide it from others detection. Especially the eyes of his father.

Frey Blade stared at Caden with a confused look written on his face, he could see Caden panicking "Chill out master, what’s the problem?" He asked.

"Are you disappointed in me?" He curiously chipped.

But Alyssa interuppted before Caden could answer "Why would he be disappointed in you? He’s only worried about others detecting you"

"You see....I’m an hybrid of a Whiteman and a Purplewoman, it’s easy to hide my silver hair"

"But your black skin can’t be easily hidden" Alyssa carefully explained. Frey’s nodded, understanding the situation.

He shrugged his shoulders "That shouldn’t be an issue" He spoke. This time Caden’s attention was fixed on him.

"What do you mean by that?" Caden asked.

"Well I mean I’m quite the expert when it comes to shadow path skills so I can possibly hide in your shadows"

"You can summon me whenever you like, it ain’t a problem for me" Frey answered.

Caden’s eyes widened, his lips curled into a faint smile. He suddenly got an inspiration.

"Hehehehe" Caden chuckled softly, Frey’s eyes widened "Eh? Has the master gone mad?" He asked, while staring at Alyssa.

Alyssa couldn’t help but smile "Not yet, he’s totally sane" She answered.

Caden summoned the transparent cyan panel once again. This time, he knew what to do.

He has the S-Ranked Skill: Borrow after all.

[Would you like to activate your S-Ranked Skill: Borrow?]

[Yes] [No]

Caden clicked the Yes

Caden was suprised to see Frey Blade actually had four active skills even after having his Sword Level reduced by one level.

He raised his head, staring at Frey "During your prime, how many skills were in your possession?" Caden asked.

Frey softly exhaled "I think I had twelve skills then, seven were S-Ranked Skill, four were SS-Ranked Skills and I had an ultimate skill, an SSS-Ranked shadow path skill"

"But I believe only four of my S-Ranked Skills are still active" Frey answered.

A summoned servant could never lie to his master in the first place.

Caden nodded, he had already confirmed Frey’s answer. ’He really has only four active skills’ Caden thought.

"But each of them are just so unique, I can only borrow a single skill and yet I’m so greedy that I want them all" Caden growled.

He desired them all but the rules of his S-Ranked Skill: Borrow limited his thirst for all those skills.

He had to follow the rules and choose one.

[Skill Information: User can transform merge with his own shadow, erasing their presence]

Caden nodded with a smile, he was tempted to choose between S-Ranked Skill: Shadow Control and S-Ranked Skill: Shadow Dimension.

But he knew this skills were active and Frey Blade could use them. He opted for something useful to him.

Shadow cloak constantly erase his presence, merging him with his shadows.

It could be considered the perfect stealth skill.

A shadow cloak would be useful when infiltrating a base. Or moving at night in the academy.

He softly exhaled, everyone could see the satisfactory smile plastered on Caden’s lips.

"Well did you get what you wanted?" Frey asked. Caden nodded "That’s correct, but we still have to do something about you"

Caden noticed something, he hurried to the windows, he opened the window to see the carriage sent by the Valor Royal Academy to pick him.

The carriage was already entering the courtyard.

"Its almost time to leave" He spoke, slightly tilting his head towards Frey "Cast your S-Ranked Skill: Shadow Dimension on my shadow"

"That will be your new home"

Frey obeyed without question, he activated his S-Ranked Skill: Shadow Dimension.

Casting a dimension within the shadow of Caden Ryder. Immediately sinking into the shadow "He-he-he-he-he, your shadow ain’t bad" Frey chuckled as his body completely vanished into the shadow.

Caden’s eyebrows curled up "What do you meant by that?" Caden asked.

Frey answered "Well you ain’t a human, I can feel.....you’re one of those mysterious and mystical lizards my pop wanted to hunt back in the days"

"Not a lizard, a Dragonman" Caden mumbled.
