CHAPTER 48: FIRST STAGE RESULTS

Darius white teeths were shone after the mysterious figure made that statement. He chuckled softly.

Gently careesing his chin, Darius spoke "Well you ain’t the only one who wants him, the whole of the Purple Continent wants that brat"

"He’s the first in history to have actually awakened an S-Ranked Innate Skill while being under twenty"

"So if you want me.....you should follow the line" Darius smirked. The mysterious nodded with a smile, "I intended to do just that...."

"But while everyone are busy desiring that child. I’ll be the one who makes my first move" His lips curled up.

"Perhaps I should prepare a nice warm gift for him"

Few hours later and the registration hall was filled up. All four thousand and two hundred freshmen had returned.

But many were injured, those that were injured were attended to.

With all their actions recorded. They all patiently waited in the hall, waiting for the next stage of the numbered test.

Darius glanced at the flickering white orb used to watch everything that’s ongoing in the registration hall.

He softly exhaled "It seems every freshmen have been returned back to the registration hall"

"But there were many who nearly got killed and we’re forcefully transported back to the registration hall" Darius slowly rose up from his seat.

"They’ll be pushed aside and given the lowest ranked numbers, starting from number one thousandth and above"

The mysterious figure nodded, his smiles still evident "That’s good, this was why the numbered test was created in the first place"

"To fish out the strong"

Darius eyes flickered "It’s time to begin the second stage of the numbered test"

Seconds later, his two followers were summoned into his office.

They both saw the mysterious figure present in the office. But none dared to question why this executive was in the head chancellor office.

"You called for us head chancellor" Both figures uttered in unison. Darius nodded with a smile.

"I did" Darius answered, "All students have been returned, and the first stage is over.....let’s begin the second stage"

"We’ll determine those who will reach the number one thousand down to the two hundredth number"

The two figures bowed before vanishing into thin air.

After all the freshmen were transported out of the registration hall. All guardians were asked to leave the hall.

They were taken to another hall until the registration test is over and all students have been numbered.

Right now, the registration hall is beyond noisy as students could be seen telling stories of their adventures on the island.

Explaining how they withstood attacks from this variant humans sealed on the island.

While many had bright smiles on their faces, many were saddened because they knew they had failed.

Many supreme kingdoms’ successors were seen talking with eachother. Including the quadruplet.

Only Caden stayed alone. He was a loner to begin with, if it was his past life....he would have appreciated anyone talking to him.

He was a failure then, and as a failure. He sought after attention, to the point where he would beg just to be recognized.

But now, things are different. He’s no longer a loser.

He’s strong. He has no reason to rely on anyone.

They were given a few minutes to reorganize themselves but a masked guard stepped forward.

Seeing movements from a masked guard. The registration hall became deathly silent.

They knew the time for the second stage has come.

The masked guard cleared his throat with a cough. No one could see the expression hidden behind the mask.

The masked guard stretched forth his hand and a purple stone flickered. Creating a wide screened holographic image.

Caden slightly tilted his gaze, noticing the holographic image, he understood what was happening "To think they’ll be releasing the results huh?"

"The first stage is over" The voice of the masked figure resounded as it echoed through the hall "The results of your performance are out. And only a large number will be given their numbered rank"

"From number one thousand down to number four thousand will receive their numbers"

"Those without a ranking number will be permitted to move to the next stage"

The announcement was over and the masked guard stepped back. Whispers and mumurs echoed through the room.

The holographic screen was big. Very big as it showed both the recorded performance and numbered rankings.

Students could see the amounts of lower-class variant humans and higher-class variant humans they killed.

They were many who barely even touched higher-class variant humans and they were many who performed terribly even against lower-class variant humans.

"Hey who do you think got the first position?" A female student asked, her eyes glued to the screen.

"I don’t know but I think there was a rumored student who took out five hundred higher-class variant humans" Another answered.

"Ha-ha-ah-ha-ha, what a joke....five hundred higher-class variant humans? They should atleast tried when lying"

"Well let’s check it out before calling someone a liar"

Caden listened to the whispers and mumurs, he hasn’t even moved an inch from his spot.

With his arms folded, he softly exhaled.

The quadruplet stayed together, they were all looking at their performance displayed on the screen.

Their positions were between 55-60 amongst the four thousand freshmen.

Prince Hetu’s eyes gleamed "It seems we’ll be heading to the second stage, we weren’t given a numbered rank" Prince Hetu said.

Prince Viktor nodded with a smile "I can see that already, we should aim for numbers below hundred"

"From what we can see, our performance wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best either...."

"Why don’t we check Prince Caden? Let’s see if he was really speaking the truth" Prince Viktor said.

Sumeri softly exhaled "I’ve been watching that guy, he’s too confident....he can’t lie" This was the first time she spoke in the registration hall.

This time, everyone’s eyes were glued to the holographic screen as they saw the name with the first position.

Prince Hetu clenched his fist tightly "He really got the first position huh? Just exactly how strong is that guy?"
