Primordial God Of Time
Chapter 115: Kranos... Kathryn...
CHAPTER 115: KRANOS... KATHRYN...
Although Kranos thought that it was strange that he could use his time ability without limits, he didn’t have time to think too much about it.
The group that was chasing him was stunned to see Kranos become young so quickly.
One of them immediately shouted, "Magic! He’s a witch!" The others were also fearful, but suddenly, someone’s voice broke through the crowd:
"Instead of hanging around, let’s capture him. That way we can discover the secret to his magic and retain our youth as well. It could even be the key to eternal life!"
The moment this voice finished speaking, everyone’s eyes lit up. They seemed bewitched with some sort of spell and without hesitation, they rushed towards Kranos who was not too far away; their speed had also increased slightly beyond the speed of a normal human.
Seeing this development, Kranos smiled faintly. The next moment, his figure appeared instantly in front of a young man. This time there was no delay, no flashy movement technique; rather, it was like Kranos had always been there. He called it a unique movement ability belonging to him: Time Retreat!
Although it might seem like Kranos moved, he just rewound time to the moment where he was at where the young man was. The next moment, Eternal Hunger moved...
In an instant, Kranos cleaved the young man’s head in one swift motion, using both Accelerate and Pause! The young man couldn’t even react before he was beheaded. After that, Kranos felt a strange energy flow into his sword. He was stunned for a moment, because he understood that this energy was similar to absorbing... time?
And Kranos felt he could control the absorption! With that, he immediately moved and increased the rate at which his sword absorbed time from the dead guard. It only took a fleeting moment for the guard to turn to dust. It slowly drifted into the wind, causing all the others to shiver slightly.
Kranos was unbothered. Just as the guards were panicking and were about to retreat, they discovered that they had all been... beheaded?
Time Clone!
Kranos had come up with a new ability. These were all abilities he had thought about in the real world; however, due to insufficient time points, he was unable to use them. However, now that Kranos could move wildly and unrestricted without caring about the cost, he immediately used them all!
Time Clone... this was an ability similar to the one that Kranos just used. However, in this case, Kranos was tapping into all the timelines where he was at a particular location. In an instant, his figure appeared in all those times, and with swift, precise motion, he had killed all the guards!
Kranos’ children stared at him in horror. They couldn’t believe a human was capable of that! It was such an inhuman act. Staring at the dust scattered on the ground, they felt their hearts grow cold. Would Kranos kill them like he did with the guards?
Kranos glanced at them with a faint smile, "Will you still stop me?" Although these were his actual family members, Kranos understood that they could be restrictions on his path to the peak of absolute strength.
He couldn’t let them shackle him down. The five years he had spent with them after realizing that this was a world of manipulation and corruption was just his compensation to them before departing.
At his words, Samual was stunned, then he shook his head wryly, then he did something surprising... It was as though he was subtly influenced; he went down on his knees and kowtowed, then said those familiar words:
"I wish you a safe journey, Father!"
Kranos was stunned and he stared at Samual deeply. He felt as though he had heard those words before, but he couldn’t recall where he had heard them. Kranos nodded at him, then turned around.
With a sword in hand, he slowly walked away, his robes swaying gently under the chilling breeze, while his hair also fluttered slightly.
...
More than thirty years had passed since Kathryn decided to wander through the myriad immortal and mortal worlds. During this time, after countless plotting, she had finally come up with a way to infiltrate the encirclement of calamities.
Although she knew that it would be very dangerous, she knew that she had to do this if she wanted a slim chance of survival.
The method of surviving the calamity that she got actually came from an old friend. She was slightly startled that he was still alive, and despite being in the same cultivation realm as her, he decided to live out his days as a mortal. Kathryn chuckled at the thought when she recalled... Luka!
Glancing at the shadow he had lent her, she was shocked. This shadow was far from ordinary! There were many intricate, profound, divine dao patterns on its surface. Some of the patterns even terrified her!
The shadow glanced at her slightly, then shook its head as though it was disdaining her. However, Kathryn didn’t mind. After a few space-time leaps, she finally came to the place she felt that the seventh calamity would most likely be.
Looking at the countless fractured spaces merged together, Kathryn was stunned. Everywhere had a mirror-like surface. But the surface seemed as though it had been shattered by something. There were cracks everywhere, and she could tell that those cracks led to different dimensions.
"Are you sure you can handle this?" Kathryn asked the shadow beside her. If it wasn’t for this mysterious shadow, she wouldn’t have had the confidence to face the calamities within their stronghold.
"Leave everything to me; you still underestimate the myriad worlds!" the shadow sneered. Then, the next moment, its eyes emitted a strange glow, and its body flickered. Slowly, it began to expand and wrap itself around Kathryn.
Kathryn was stunned; she felt a chilling sensation for a moment. However, she calmed down and didn’t attack the shadow. Soon, she was fully wrapped in the shadow. A voice resounded in her mind:
"Go in, they won’t discover anything wrong. Time for some fun!"
Kathryn realized that it was the voice of the shadow. She was slightly stunned and hesitated for a moment before deciding to listen to the voice. Since Luka had given it to her and reassured her that with it everything would be fine, Kathryn knew that she didn’t have much to worry about!
Walking quickly and transcending space, she quickly stepped into one of the many fractured worlds to meet the... seventh calamity!
