Primordial God Of Time
Chapter 117: Who Completed The Trial? Deep Scheming Mind!
CHAPTER 117: WHO COMPLETED THE TRIAL? DEEP SCHEMING MIND!
Just as Kathryn passed through the fractured worlds to see the calamities, she saw something that terrified her greatly! Fortunately, Kranos had completed the trial at the right time, which caused her to wake up from that hellish scene.
She also understood that even with all her strength in that world, she would have no chance of surviving that calamity!
She absorbed the memories quickly and sighed in regret. She had failed the trial. But it was also understandable; she knew that the trial’s goal for her was to survive the seventh calamity, which she couldn’t! She was doomed to fail in the end!
She glanced at everyone and noted their expressions. Kranos also had a look of regret... it seems he failed the trial too! Kathryn shook her head; Luka was the only one with a happy expression! Kathryn immediately understood, after all, she knew how special Luka was.
This was another reason why she had specifically chosen all the gifts Luka had!
Kevin also glanced at his sister; he was stunned slightly as he recalled the memories of the other world. Many painful scenes passed through his mind; after all, he had spent more than ten thousand years there!
In this time, everyone he had cared about had been killed. He had constantly been on the run, and the only reason he survived was because he had become a divine archer, shooting down the heavens from a distance!
Because of this, none of his enemies had been able to get near him, but his sisters, parents, and everyone else had been killed! Thankfully, it is just a dream! Luka was glad seeing his sister once again after so many years had passed.
The elder looked at them as they emerged from the water and slowly stood up. It was only now he explained what the trial was about:
"The trial of the heart is a trial that is meant to test your heart and see if you can discover your true self. Despite the memory loss, you should be able to realize your true identity given more time because of the faint memory glimpses."
"If you don’t realize your true self and let go of certain shackles, there is no way you can pass the test. This is only the first step. The second and final step involves staying true to yourself and your choices no matter how much you are opposed. If you embark on a path, is your Dao heart firm enough??"
The old man continued to explain. He emitted a warm aura that seemed to ease the hearts of Kranos and the others, making them rapidly absorb the memories they had obtained without any after-effects.
It now just seemed like a distant memory which had faded from their minds, but if they wanted, at any moment they could retrieve details of the memory.
"One of you has successfully passed the trial. The gift has been given and is in your sea of consciousness." After the man finished speaking, his boat slowly drifted away, leaving Kranos and the others stunned.
His voice also drifted like a spring breeze once again from afar. "Since you have taken my trial, we are now connected by karma... if you want to find me, just search for... the Prophet. I have great expectations for you."
His voice also thundered inside Kathryn and Luka’s minds. "Anomaly... lucky child!" When he was speaking, he was mainly speaking to these two, as they already had an advantage in the great battle.
As for Kranos, although he didn’t start at the same level as them, given the fact that he had that treasure, if he was able to fully use the treasure, he would definitely be on the same level as them as long as he was smart enough!
Soon, the ancient expert was nowhere to be seen. Kranos and the others bowed slightly in the direction the ancient expert had left. They could all tell that the old man was truly horrifying.
Not only was he in charge of such a horrifying lake, he could also alter their memories slightly and give out a heavenly treasure that could change one’s fate!
Reaching this thought, they all stared at each other fiercely. The air immediately became tense. Many thoughts passed through Kranos’ mind on how to make him seem the least suspected one with the treasure. After some thought, he slowly approached Kathryn.
In this situation, if he distanced himself from her, he would seem suspicious. Although by getting closer to her, it would also seem like he was seeking protection from her. However, Kranos had also thought of this, and his sword appeared in his hand as though they were prepared to attack Luka for the treasure.
He was indirectly stating to Kathryn that Luka was with the treasure, and he was ready to support her to get the treasure from him!
Luka stared at everyone solemnly. He also understood he was the most likely suspect, but... he didn’t pass the trial! He stared at Kathryn and immediately realized that she was the only one that could pass the trial.
Although he slightly felt it was Kranos for a moment, he didn’t think Kranos would have such a mind; only a beautiful elf like Kathryn could be so scheming.
As for Kevin? He didn’t even think for a moment that he would be the one to pass the trial.
Many thoughts passed through Kathryn’s mind, and she understood that her chances of killing Luka were less than 1 percent. She knew what kind of person Luka was; even using her anomaly power, the chances of defeating him would still remain 1 percent!
"There’s no need to fight about this. Since one of us has passed the trial, it should benefit us all. Let us not become enemies over this!" Kathryn said, trying to soothe the tension in the air.
Hearing her words, Luka narrowed his eyes slightly at her. This had fully confirmed his guess that Kathryn was with the heaven-defying treasure. Luka shook his head slightly, but he wasn’t someone that liked conflict; he loved being carefree. With that, he quickly offered a friendly smile.
"You are right, there’s no need to fight over this."
Kevin glanced at the two; he felt that there was something suspicious going on. Deciding to ask his sister later on, he retrieved his aura as well. Kranos also stood by the side, watching everything with his calculating silvery eyes... How interesting, Kranos thought.
"Let’s head back to the starship," Kathryn said to the others, looking up at the sky and noticing that the starship was still hovering slightly in the air without any sign of movement. She dragged her brother and immediately flew to the ship.
Luka also grabbed towards Kranos, lending him a hand as they rushed to the ship. Kranos didn’t stand on ceremony. At the same time, his thoughts moved on how he would get Luka’s movement technique from him. He also had to start cultivating the techniques he had gotten from passing the Sovereign Star Sect trial.
In a few moments, they appeared in the starship. Kathryn controlled the ship, which hovered above the air and began to move. In an instant, its speed had increased drastically, and it left the spatial point world and reached the outside world.
