Primordial World: Big shots are all my friends
Chapter 29, Buzhou Mountain
CHAPTER 29: CHAPTER 29, BUZHOU MOUNTAIN
"Junior Brother~" A call came from behind.
Bai Jin halted his step, turned around, and looked towards Shi Ji, asking with perplexity, "Junior Sister, is there something else?"
Shi Ji raised the Jade Bottle in her hand, and with a brilliant smile, she said, "Thank you, Junior Brother!"
Bai Jin smiled, huh, this Junior Sister seems quite clever! In the future I should keep some distance from her; I don’t enjoy dealing with clever people, unlike Eldest Senior Brother who, though seemingly aloof, is actually quite simple.
After returning to his room, Duobao sneezed several times consecutively, touched his nose and had a vague feeling of being offended, recalling his miserable past experience he cursed loudly, "The epitome of flatterers and sycophants."
Bai Jin waved his hand, turned around, and flew away, directly leaving Kunlun Mountain following the guidance in his heart towards Buzhou Mountain.
In the vast expanse of the Primordial World, where all creatures thrive fiercely, Fierce Beasts roamed and Witch Clan’s big men swarmed the mountains.
Whenever Bai Jin encountered such situations, he would use the Five Elements Escape Technique to keep well clear. It wasn’t because he was afraid of them, but because he preferred to avoid trouble. There was no need to get entangled with them. Sometimes, causality just forms like that, small skirmishes could provoke bigger conflicts, escalating into endless battles.
...
With Bai Jin’s cultivation at the Golden Immortal Level, it took him several years from Kunlun Mountain to reach Buzhou Mountain, highlighting the vastness of the Primordial World.
At the foot of Buzhou Mountain, Bai Jin looked up at the unending Buzhou Mountain. The waist of the mountain was already obscured by mist. Standing at the foot, he felt a profound sense of insignificance, amazed by the greatness of Buzhou Mountain, whose primordial and vast aura made even the Immortal Gods want to offer their worship.
After a long while, Bai Jin recovered from the shock of Buzhou Mountain, his body flashed with light and transformed into a White Crane, rising into the sky.
"Whistle~" The White Crane made a clear and cool cry, echoing around Buzhou Mountain.
The White Crane flew straight up along the mountain, weaving through the White Cloud. Suddenly, a sense of guidance appeared mysteriously, as if directing him.
The White Crane immediately turned and followed the guidance, darting through the dense clouds. After a moment, crossing through a layer of clouds, the scene suddenly brightened, revealing a valley on the mountainside of Buzhou Mountain. Inside the valley, there were numerous exotic flowers and herbs, immortal butterflies fluttering, and Golden Rabbits hopping around, with two palaces situated within. The faint, crisp sound of a zither came from within the valley.
Following the sound of the zither, the White Crane flew down to a small stream in the valley, where he saw a middle-aged man playing the zither, his eyes closed and face smiling, embodying a cultured and peaceful aura. As for his cultivation, it was completely inscrutable, there were just too many Primordial Gods, but Bai Jin had already guessed who this person might be.
The White Crane swooped down, landing and transforming back into human form.
The sound of the zither stopped instantly. The middle-aged man opened his eyes, stood up, and turned to Bai Jin, asking, "Young friend, where do you hail from?"
Bai Jin hurriedly gave a bow and replied, "I, Bai Jin, come from Kunlun Mountain, bearing the name of Senior Master Taishang, to deliver a box of tea leaves to Nuwa.
Just now, I felt a guiding force on Buzhou Mountain and followed it here; if my intrusion has offended, I ask for forgiveness."
The middle-aged man laughed heartily and said, "So you are Bai Jin. My little sister has mentioned you, praising your intelligence and excellent comprehension. It’s rare for her to praise someone so highly."
Bai Jin had already guessed, this person must be Fu Xi, his mention of ’little sister’ must refer to Nuwa, yet he still feigned ignorance and asked, "May I know who the senior is?"
The middle-aged man smiled and said, "I am Fu Xi, and my little sister is the Nuwa you seek. It was she who just guided you here."
Bai Jin hurriedly bowed and said, "Greetings to Uncle Master Fu Xi. I have long heard of Uncle Master’s divine virtues and extraordinary abilities, and seeing you today surpasses even the renowned tales."
Fu Xi extended his hand to support Bai Jin, laughing heartily, "I didn’t expect my reputation to have spread all the way to Kun Mountain. Rise! Rise! There’s no need for such ceremony."
Bai Jin straightened up and asked, "Master, may I know where Uncle Master Nuwa is? Eldest Uncle asked me to bring some local products for the Lady."
"No rush! The junior sister is contemplating the Tao. Follow me." Fu Xi waved his hand, putting away his zither, and walked ahead along the stream.
Bai Jin followed closely behind, and after a short while, they arrived in front of a small pavilion built on the edge of a cliff. The pavilion was supported by four wooden pillars, covered with thatch, and had oddly shaped stone tables and chairs inside, looking very primitive and not at all like the leisure spot of a Primordial God, a far cry from the previous palaces.
The two sat down in the pavilion, a gust of wind blew over, and the sea of clouds churned in front of them, instantly broadening their chests.
Bai Jin looked around the small pavilion, a weird expression gradually appearing in his eyes. From some of the details, one could tell that the person who originally built this pavilion was very serious, but the resulting effect was indescribable.
Fu Xi chuckled and said, "Does it feel incredible?"
Bai Jin immediately replied, "I think it’s great, returning to simplicity and nature, the Way naturally."
Fu Xi roared with laughter and said, "So Nuwa had such deep intentions! I didn’t notice at all, I just thought her craftsmanship was poor.
This pavilion was personally made by my junior sister, these four pillars are built from structural timber, the thatch is Night Dark Grass from the North Sea, and these table and chairs inside are made from Taiyi Essence Gold. I initially said I would make them, but she insisted on trying herself, and ended up with this bird-like appearance."
Bai Jin’s eyes widened, nearly blurting out in disbelief. Is this the audacity of a big shot? A little addition of Taiyi Essence Gold could refine decent Acquired Spiritual Treasures, yet now it’s turned into these ugly tables?
As Bai Jin looked at the entire pavilion again, where was there a trace of ugliness? It was clearly glittering with gold! Structural timber, Night Dark Grass, Taiyi Essence Gold, each one was a treasure, made him want to steal them.
Fu Xi waved his hand over the table, and a set of teaware appeared, laughing as he said, "Bring out the tea leaves."
Bai Jin snapped back to his senses, quickly stretching out his hand, and a purple box with a Taiji rune printed on it appeared in his palm, the packaging looking very posh.
He stood up and handed it over saying, "Uncle Master, this is the tea that my master asked me to bring."
Fu Xi took the box, opened it, and a fragrance of tea wafted out.
Fu Xi unconsciously showed a smile, pinched some tea leaves into the teapot, and after a moment, poured out two cups of tea, handing one to Bai Jin saying, "I don’t have Three Light Divine Water here, so I temporarily used Cold Pool Heavenly Dew to brew the tea, taste how it is?!"
Bai Jin took a sip, his eyes brightened and he said, "It’s very good, not a bit weaker than Three Light Divine Water, has its own unique flavor."
Fu Xi also took a sip, intoxicated and said, "Good tea should be paired with a good melody, would my nephew like to listen to a piece I play?"
Bai Jin quickly placed the teacup on the table, sitting upright and said, "It would be an honor!"
Fu Xi flicked his hand over the table, a wooden zither appeared, and as his fingers plucked the strings, crisp zither sounds emitted, and the sea of clouds surged along.
Listening to the zither, Bai Jin fell into a trance, deeply absorbed, mind utterly empty, as if traveling between heaven and earth, his speed catching the wind and chasing the moon, feeling free and easy, pursuing the power of thunder and lightning, capturing the vast heaven and earth in his chest.
