CHAPTER 26: WAKING UP WITH REINA

The first morning in this world, I woke up feeling happier than ever before in my life.

A refreshing and fulfilling sensation enveloped my entire body. I even thought it might all be a sweet little dream.

But the unfamiliar view from the bed and my own naked body, passed out from exhaustion, convinced me that it wasn’t a dream. I must have fallen asleep after everything that happened last night.

"Good morning, Master," Reina said.

The sight of Reina bringing tea and the scent of it confirmed that last night’s events were real.

She wore a classic long maid dress, her hair tied in a ponytail with a red ribbon. No headband, though.

"R-Reina, good morning," I stammered.

"Morning! Did you sleep well?" she asked.

"Yeah," I replied.

I felt amazing waking up. The only odd thing was how normal Reina seemed. In her neatly worn maid outfit, it was hard to imagine her as she was last night. We definitely went a bit too far.

"Are you okay? Your body, I mean?" I asked.

"I’m fine! I’m pretty confident in my stamina," she said, her cheeks slightly red as she understood my meaning.

Still, as her master, her health is my responsibility. I secretly focused magic in my eyes to check her status.

I almost burst out laughing at the showed data in front of me.

The data came with the same weird comments as last night. Her stamina was up slightly, and her sensitivity had increased a lot. Her age was still blurred out though. What a strange ability.

(Skill acquired? Did Reina learn a skill?) I focused on the skill section.

(Guts? Like a skill from a strategy RPG?) Did last night’s intensity trigger this? So, how I treat her might affect her level-ups and skills too.

Come to think of it, I leveled up at Morris’s mansion yesterday, but my kindness stat dropped by 5, and I gained a weird skill called "NTR." I should be careful not to raise her in that kind of a strange direction.

"Master, is something wrong?" Reina asked.

"No, it’s fine. No problem," I said.

I considered telling her I could see her status but decided against it. Nobody would feel good knowing someone could peek at their personal stats.

"Can I ask you something?" Reina said hesitantly.

"S-Sure, what is it?" I replied.

"Did your level go up properly last night?" she asked, curious about my progress as a hero.

I checked my own status. "My level went up by 10," I said.

"Amazing!" Reina’s eyes widened as she shouted.

I was surprised too. To gain so many levels at once, in just one encounter was really unexpected.

"Wait a sec. When we first did it yesterday, your level only went up by 3, right?" she asked.

"Yeah," I confirmed.

"So... my first time gave you fewer levels than the maid thing?" She looked shocked.

"...Ugh, my first time was worth less than the maid stuff? That’s harsh," she said, covering her eyes with her dress hem, her body trembling.

Was she crying?

"...Sniff, my Master... is such a pervert..." she whimpered.

"I’m sorry, that’s not what I ever meant!" I tried to explain, but it was partly true, so words failed me. Reina hid her face behind her dress, sobbing softly.

I didn’t expect this. I panicked, unsure what to do.

"Just kidding!" Reina lifted her face, sticking out her red tongue. It was fake crying for an act.

"Hey, you don’t do that to your master!" I said.

"Eek, sorry!" she giggled.

I grabbed her and lifted her up. She flailed her legs happily.

"Phew, you scared me," I said.

"Hehe, sorry. Honestly, I’m happy I could help," she said.

It’s like a rookie hero in this world defeating a metal slime. Of course, my level shot up. Reina’s like a metal slime, giving me tons of experience points.

"?" Reina tilted her head, unaware I was comparing her to a literal metal slime.

"Let’s have breakfast now," I said.

"Sure, it’s all ready!" she replied.

After such a night, she woke up early to prepare breakfast. I’m grateful.

"Let’s go to the living room."

I ate breakfast in the living room. The menu was fried eggs, vegetable soup, bread, and cheese. Reina sat next to me, eating together.

"Delicious!" I said.

"Really? I’m good at cooking, but today it also feels especially tasty to me," she said.

Maybe it’s because Reina made it, but simple ingredients from this world tasted amazing.

"What about your stuff? You’re living here, right?" I asked.

"My things were brought over early this morning by the royal guards. Not much stuff, though," she said.

Princess Ellis works fast.

"Which room did you pick?" I asked.

"The side room on the second floor, closest to yours," she said.

The second floor has my bedroom, a study, the main wife’s dressing room, and two side rooms for concubines. She chose one of those.

"You could use the main wife’s dressing room. There’s no main wife, and I don’t plan to have one," I said.

"Thanks, but you’re a noble, so appearances still matter. The side room is also fine. The dressing room feels quite awkward to me," she said, looking very pleased.

"Well, you’ll probably sleep in my room every night anyway," I teased .

"Y-Yeah," she blushed.

"Ahm... I’ll need your help for leveling up every night," I added.

Right, I need to farm experience from my metal slime (Reina) every night. It’s my duty as a hero.

"I-I’ll do my best," she said, striking a goofy boxer pose.

"Can I ask something too?" she said.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Can I see how much magic you gathered last night?" she said.

"Sure thing," I replied.

I channeled magic into my right hand and created an item.

With more than enough magic, light flashed, and a huge pile of body soap appeared.

"Wow!" Reina cheered.

The body soap was a rare, non-commercial brand used by celebrities. About 500 bottles appeared in one try.

(Maybe it’s a bit too much?) The rich floral scent filled the room even with the bottles closed.

(To make this much... I should adjust my plans a bit.)

I planned to use it for the brothel, but there might be other uses too.

"Thanks to you, I leveled up a lot," I said.

"Yay, yay!" Reina jumped up and down in front of the soap pile.

"It smells so good! But what’s it for?" she asked.

Huh? Oh right, she still doesn’t know about body soap.

"It’s for rebuilding the brothel," I said.

"How’s that?" she asked.

"The brothel currently has two major problems: hygiene and price. This body soap will solve both issues with a new service called ’foam wash,’" I explained.

"Foam wash?" she asked.

"Yeah. A service where customers pay high prices to get cleaned and feel good at the same time," I said.

Body soap can’t be made in this world, so Freesia can have a monopoly.

"What kind of service is it?" she asked.

"In this service, the girls use their bodies to clean their customers. The soap makes it easy, so anyone can do it, and since it feels great, customers pay more than the usual price," I said.

Reina went quiet after hearing this, thinking through something.

I regretted speaking too freely in front of Reina now. Teaching foam wash to the brothel girls means I’d have to demonstrate and guide them. I shouldn’t have blabbed that to my wife.

"... Then, can I try doing the foam wash for you Husband?" Reina said, surprising me.

I scrambled to process her words. It made sense. Getting her opinion as someone close to me before teaching the brothel girls wasn’t a bad idea.

"There might be taboos in this world I don’t know about," she said. "But I can do anything for someone I love, but the brothel girls do it for customers, so there might be issues."

She’s right. Knowing any taboos beforehand would help. Also, her casually saying "someone I love" made me stupidly happy, drooling over her innocent cuteness. Princess Ellis isn’t coming until noon anyways, so we have enough time for everything.

"Can I count on you?" I asked.

"Yup!" she said with a smile.

Imagining Reina’s naked body covered in bubbles made my heart race betting sites’ best choice horse.

"Whoa!?" I gasped.

"Hehe, your level went up," Reina teased.

She laughed at me.

"Are you that excited?" she asked.

"Y-Yeah. It’s just really special for me because it’s you," I said.

"Because of me?" she asked.

"Yeah, because it’s you, my level jumps so fast," I said.

She beamed, saying, "Yay! I’ll do my best!"
