Re-Overlord: I Can Acquire Anything!
Chapter 121: Yin-Yang Reversal (2)
CHAPTER 121: YIN-YANG REVERSAL (2)
Igaris could somehow understand the ancient language, because like everyone else, Yuhan had studied it to prepare himself as a Martial Warrior. Now, it was finally coming in handy for Igaris.
The scroll’s words were cryptic, almost like poetry composed by someone half-mad and half-enlightened.
To reverse light, walk into darkness. To awaken heat, bury yourself in frost. True mastery is not control, but surrender. Let Yin devour your breath. Let Yang burn your bones. Only then, shall reversal begin
At the bottom of the scroll, a note was etched:
"Brat, no one will ever be able to master this. So just give up. And if you somehow do learn the art, revive this old man from the grave as repayment, alright?"
Igaris read the founder’s words, and a small smile formed on his lips.
"What an interesting old man. But... can I really learn it?"
"Time to find out," he muttered, opening the scroll as the golden glow of the wall lamps flickered across the chamber.
In the future timeline, even Igaris had never learned this technique. That’s why he was uncertain.
Back then, he hadn’t even taken the first step. At that time, he was too arrogant, too confident—just because he had gained an overpowering ability. Exactly like the Igaris was before awakening those memories.
He had thought a single ability alone would be enough to secure his future. How laughable!
Yes, It was true Infinite Acquisition was strong. Strong enough to make him an Overlord.
But compared to the those entities outside Chaos, he was still an ant. Slightly bigher ant.
He never realized how pitiful and shallow his efforts had been.
But now he knew better.
So this time, he would push himself to the limit. No, beyond the limit. He would attempt the impossible and make it real.
With unwavering determination, Igaris knelt down and began to meditate before the scroll, breathing in slowly. His Architect’s Eyes flickered with blue brilliance, parsing the subtle energy woven into the scroll’s structure by decoding its rhythm, understanding its law.
Minutes passed. Then hours. No food, no water. Just him, the lamp’s glow, and the scroll.
At one point, his breath became fog, and frost began to form on his arms. Yin.
Then flames danced beneath his skin. Yang.
And slowly just barely the two began to merge. Not clash. Not devour. But revolve.
Like black and white dragons chasing each other’s tails.

A faint line of text flickered inside Igaris’s mind.
He opened his eyes, a subtle smile forming on his lips.
"I’ve succeeded," he whispered.
"I have taken the first step toward changing the Future. But this will not be the last."
"I will save Evernight, Shirley, Alessia, my children, and my parents. I will save everyone."
Even though he hadn’t met his future wives yet, the feelings of love and protectiveness was real.
Closing his eyes again, he focused fully on comprehending the deeper intricacies of the technique. He delved into its laws, principles, and inner workings, determined to understand what others had long deemed impossible.
At that same moment, deep within the Sect’s central pavilion, Sect Master Fang Tianhai was reviewing several important affairs when his spiritual sense instinctively swept across the Scripture Hall.
His attention paused on the image of the Dao Child, seated in meditation. Just before that, he had caught the faint smile on the boy’s face.
Sect Master Fang narrowed his eyes and muttered, "Did the Dao Child actually succeed?"
A calm male voice interrupted him. "What troubles you, Brother Fang?"
Turning, Fang Tianhai saw a middle-aged man dressed in elegant green robes stepping into the room. His expression was polite, but there was a flicker of curiosity in his eyes.
Fang replied with a light shake of his head. "It is nothing, Brother Lin. I was just thinking about the Dao Child. He entered the fourth floor of the Scripture Hall."
Lin raised an eyebrow. "The forbidden section? That boy is bold. Did he manage to comprehend anything?"
Fang shrugged casually. "Most likely not. Those scrolls are just remnants of the Founder’s whims. No one has ever succeeded."
Lin gave a small chuckle but pressed on. "You say that, but your tone betrays something else. Be honest. What exactly happened? Where did this Dao Child appear from so suddenly? I have been wondering for some time now."
Fang Tianhai looked away, choosing not to respond.
Some things were better kept in silence, at least for the moment.

Igaris glanced at the stats and smiled to himself.
"A Concept, huh? Well, that was unexpectedly early. Still, it’s a better start than my future self at least. With this, I can make the impossible to possibility. I will revive the dead. Father, Mother, Brother... I can bring all of them back early. To start anew."
Suddenly, Evernight’s curious voice echoed in his mind:
"My Liege, did you succeed in learning that martial art, or whatever they call it?"
"Yes. But it is something more than that, Calypso. I’ll tell you about it later," Igaris replied with a calm smile.
As he answered, a wave of overwhelming care and protectiveness toward her surged within him as the emotions of his future self fusing with his own.
It wasn’t unfamiliar, but it was far more intense than anything he’d felt before. Still, he didn’t dislike it. He liked her, after all. Both as a woman and a reliable companion.
More than that, she was destined to be his main wife. She can’t get away from this.
