    I still grumbled about killing her parents after a solid hour of walking, and to my surprise, after hearing that I wanted to kill them so much, she soon grew numb to it.

    ''Well, if it''s like this, she won''t attack me when I decapitate them...'' I knew I hadn''t known Rachel long, but she seemed like a good kid, and if someone had the audacity to harm her when I''m around, I''d show them something they''d never forget.

    I waved my tail and she looked my way, and then froze as we both looked at each other.

    ''There are lots of humans and zombies in the city.'' I said looming in front of us, the treeline ended and a paved road snaked in and out of the trees while a sign sat on the side of the road, blood somehow smearing it even though it was twenty feet tall.

    ''More like, how tall was the zombie who got up there?'' I asked to no one in particular when Rachel looked over and answered.

    ''Um, must be really tall, that thing is really high!'' She said, affirming what I said, which made me tilt my head.

    ''I never actually asked, how old are you Rachel?'' I asked, feeling as if I were stepping on a landmine, because you never ask a girl their age.

    ''Um, I should be fifteen if I remember right...''

    ''Okay, you are not killing anybody.'' I said, my tone making the sentence final.

    ''Wait, what? But I thought you wanted me to be strong?'' She asked while plopping down.

    ''I did, but I got wrapped up and forgot to ask your age before I killed them, damn, I  killed two people and left one for dead in front of a child...''

    ''I am not a child! I am nearly an adult!'' She shouted whilst barking loudly, making me wince.

    ''Great, now all the zombies within a hundred feet are coming, maybe even more, congrats, good going, well done.'' I praised her endlessly, which made her blush, somehow, I didn''t even know a wolf could blush until today.

    The  my tail stabbed out and impaled the nearest zombie, then I leapt over her and slashed out with my tail, clearing a path in the growing horde.

    ''Okay, either we go forward now, or we leave, choose one, we can''t do both, and we can''t stay here long.'' I said while notifications popped up, saying I gained a point.

    ''Okay, let''s go, I''m hungry and I don''t wanna eat zombies!'' She said, which made me not as I could affirm that they didn''t taste good.

    I spun, my tail flying out and decapitating several zombies, then I motioned for Rachel to run, and then she turned into a blur and was gone.

    Literally, she covered several hundred meters in seconds and did it with grace, making it the unnatural scene if her flying several meters every bound seem strangely normal.

    ''Okay, let''s never compete with her in speed, she probably specializes in speed.'' I reinforced the thought to make myself feel better about my speed.
