Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 117: Discomfort
CHAPTER 117: CHAPTER 117: DISCOMFORT
When Sophie Wilson reached the stairwell, she understood why Clarissa Taylor had come here.
She had just met Ophelia Wilson yesterday, and unexpectedly saw this big celebrity again today.
No wonder they moved to this side; they were afraid Ophelia Wilson would be discovered.
"Sophie." As soon as Clarissa Taylor saw Sophie Wilson coming over, she immediately greeted her warmly.
She had always been elegant and refined, with an air of scholarly grace. Even though she was now in her fifties, her noble demeanor was undiminished.
"You must be Miss Sophie Wilson." Mason Wilson hurried over and said with a smile, "I’m really grateful to you. If it weren’t for you, I shudder to think of the consequences."
"This is my personal card; feel free to call me if you ever need anything." Mason Wilson handed over the card with both hands. Sophie Wilson glanced at it, slightly raising her eyebrows — the renowned Wilson Clan of Imperial City indeed.
The card Mason Wilson gave to Sophie Wilson was a personal one, allowing her to contact him directly.
Sophie Wilson saved his wife, so he was naturally very grateful.
"Sophie, thank you for saving my mother." Ophelia Wilson also said graciously with a smile, "Please, accept this."
With that, Ophelia Wilson handed Sophie Wilson a stack of money, judging by the looks of it, at least twenty thousand.
When the money was taken out, Clarissa Taylor frowned with displeasure — how could they just give money like that?
"Ophelia, Sophie is a dear friend of mine; you don’t need to give her money." Clarissa Taylor said, feeling that such a good deed was turned into some form of humiliation.
Not to mention Sophie, even looking at it made her feel uncomfortable.
"Sophie, thanks to you, my aunt was saved this time. I must treat you to a meal in the next few days to properly thank you." Clarissa Taylor smiled and said to Sophie Wilson.
"Aunt Taylor, I look forward to your call." Sophie Wilson smiled, making a phone hand gesture to Clarissa Taylor, and then said, "I won’t disturb you any longer, I’ll take my leave."
"Alright, let’s stay in touch later." Clarissa Taylor nodded with a smile, knowing that they weren’t familiar with each other and Sophie Wilson wouldn’t be comfortable staying here.
"Turning down money handed right to you, what false pretentiousness." Emerie Wilson snorted disdainfully.
Mason Wilson glared at her in displeasure: "Can’t you just say a few less words?"
Whatever was going on over there, Sophie Wilson was unaware. She went on to wait for her test results.
Actually, she was a bit worried. She remembered that in her past life, her health had various issues. She wondered if there were any signs now.
It seemed that when Charles Seymour used her for "experiments" later on, she needed to try guiding him towards the results of his past life research.
This way, the regrets from her past life wouldn’t be repeated.
Sophie Wilson sat on a chair, lost in thought while waiting for the results when her phone rang. She glanced at the caller display, then answered, "Mm, I’m on the second floor."
Sophie Wilson gave her location to Stephen Wilson, and soon enough, Stephen Wilson came rushing over.
As soon as they met, Stephen Wilson asked worriedly, "What happened? Is it serious?"
"It’s nothing much, just a near accident, so I’m here for a check-up to prevent any unforeseen issues." Sophie Wilson said casually.
"How could you be so careless?" Stephen Wilson’s eyes flickered momentarily, but he still reprimanded, "Luckily, nothing happened."
Hearing these words from Stephen Wilson’s mouth, Sophie Wilson only felt extremely ironic.
Stephen Wilson probably wishes something did happen to her, so he wouldn’t have to give her the money he owes her, and he could keep it all for himself.
