Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 426: Small Scale
CHAPTER 426: CHAPTER 426: SMALL SCALE
Clarissa Taylor really didn’t know what to say. Did she just waste her breath?
"Mom, which of these two colors do you think suits Mr. Seymour better?" Sophie Wilson held up two ties for Clarissa to see.
Seeing Sophie so happy, Clarissa swallowed her words back. Never mind, as long as the child is happy. Spending some money is no big deal; she still has money, enough for Sophie and them to spend.
As soon as she thought that, before she could say anything, Sophie had already decided, "Let’s buy both. They’re both nice."
With the decision made, Sophie immediately went to pay with her card.
After a whole day of shopping, they were quite happy.
In the evening, when they got home, Clarissa didn’t go to Sophie’s house for dinner. Today was Mason Wilson’s first day at Charles Seymour’s company, and she wanted to ask how it went first.
"You’re back?" Clarissa saw Mason return home after six o’clock, and she already had a rough idea of the scale of Charles Seymour’s company.
Back when they were part of the Wilson Clan, working overtime was common.
But at Charles Seymour’s place, he doesn’t even need to work overtime. The company must not be very large, otherwise how could it not be busy?
"Yeah." Mason responded and first went upstairs to change his clothes.
Clarissa served the food, and after waiting for a while, Mason came down and sat silently at the table to start eating.
"What’s wrong? Is there something wrong with Charles’s company?" Clarissa asked worriedly, seeing Mason looking tired, making her feel more uncertain.
"Charles’s company..." Mason felt something stuck in his chest. Even after a day, he still found it hard to process.
"No matter what, it’s still Charles’s company. Even for Sophie’s sake, you need to help manage it well." As soon as Clarissa saw Mason hesitating to speak, she said it without thinking.
"At least formalize the company, then plan to expand elsewhere." Clarissa said anxiously, "If James Reed controls the Seymour Family in the future, he might not spare Charles, and it could even affect Sophie’s company."
"These are the hard-earned efforts of these two kids; they can’t let James Reed ruin it."
Seeing Clarissa deeply worried, Mason said bitterly, "James Reed doesn’t have that capability yet."
"He doesn’t now, but what about when Old Mr. Seymour is no longer around?" Clarissa knew what she was saying wasn’t pleasant, but as the future of her daughter was at stake, she had to think more, "I’m not cursing Old Mr. Seymour. It’s just that such a day will eventually come, and we have to think more for our daughter’s sake."
Looking at the worried Clarissa, Mason suddenly felt that this situation seemed very familiar to him.
At this moment, Clarissa’s state was exactly the same as he had been in the morning.
"James Reed can’t take control of the Seymour Family." Mason sighed weakly and took a silent bite of his food.
"That was the past; things are different now." Mentioning this, Clarissa sneered sarcastically, "For this cooperation, Old Mr. Wilson didn’t even acknowledge Sophie; he wanted that..."
The term ’imposter’ swirled around Clarissa’s mouth, but she remembered it was her brother’s daughter, so she ultimately didn’t say it.
"He wants Ophelia Wilson to marry James Reed. Together, they are far stronger than the Clark and White Families. If they partner with Peace Corporation, won’t the Seymour Corporation shareholders lean towards James Reed? By that time, even Old Mr. Seymour might be sidelined." Clarissa sighed, that’s the day she feared.
