I was sleeping soundly when I heard the ringing of doorbell. I looked at the clock and it was five in the morning.

    I ran downstairs and looked through the peephole of the door, it was Mama''s but he wasn''t alone he was carrying Jess in his arms.

    I opened the door, "What happened? Why is she in your arms? Is she OK? " . I bombarded him with my questions.

    "I''m sorry, she is sick and have fever. Because of the workload she couldn''t get enough sleep and food. ", he placed her in her room and was looking at her like a lost puppy.

    "What? Why didn''t you take her to the hospital? ", I asked concerned.

    "My friend is doctor and he checked her, he said she will be fine when she''ll get enough sleep. ", he said putting a blanket over her.

    " Did she ate anything? ", I asked.

    "Yeah we had a pizza take out but she ate very little . I''m concerned about her, can I stay by her side for tonight and take care of her? Please Miss Piya .. ", he said not moving his eyes away from her.

    "No you can''t, it''s inappropriate for you to stay here. Besides you should go and rest your self , I''ll take care of her. ", I said thinking it thoroughly.

    But he seemed reluctant to go.

    I fetched cold water and a cloth to help her minimize her fever. And saw that he was still standing there like a statue .

    "What''s the matter Manas ? I''ve observed you from the start , do you have feelings for her? ", I asked in a gentle tone , cause I couldn''t hold it anymore.

    "Is it that obvious? Yeah I like her in fact I love her. She is like my life saver , my knight in shining armour. ", he said sheepishly scratching his head and blushing.

    What a weirdo but he is still cute, " What''s your story? " , I asked trying to distract him and myself from the night.

    "Well my story... I was a bastard child ofy dad after mom passed away ,he took me in as I had nowhere to go . I was always those week type and students in our school bullied me.

    I never got the confidence to fight back. I was in seventh standard ,one day some bullies were hitting me at the back side of the school. No one helped me , I was bleeding and screaming for help.

    I was about to faint when she came, she was like a hero you know? She actually fought with all those big guys and helped me. She was never like those cute and innocent looking week girls.

    She was always daring, never showing her true emotions on her face. I started to like her from then on, I gave her chocolates as to thank her. Can you believe what she said? ''hey cut the crap already, don''t give me that sh*t like chocolate instead fight those guys back. Only then you will be the true Man '', her words effected me alot.

    I got my confidence back, no one bullied me after that. We became friends, I was rich in money but poor in love. I don''t know how and when but I started to love her.

    But I''m too much of a coward to tell her my feelings , what if she leaves me ? I''ll not only loose my love but also my dearest friend , there won''t be anything in life if I loose her too. " , he said while spacing out.

    Today I saw at both of them in different light. The always smiling and shy guy was in love with a tomboy girl. And that girl was unknown to his feelings. What a weird love story, but cute at the same time . Though I want to solve their problems and gave them a happy ending, I can''t. I can''t interfere with someone else''s life....

    "You know what Manas? Loving someone and getting the loved back by that person is the best thing in life. But don''t say such absurd thing as there''s nothing else besides that person in your life.

    Even if no one loves you, start to love yourself. You are the most important person to yourself , and if possible try to know her feelings too.

    If you want me to help you in this matter then I''ll help you remember I''m with you . But don''t make any nasty decisions. Am I clear? ", I know I gave him a long speech, but I don''t want him to repeat the same mistakes I did.

    We both took care of Jess, as he didn''t go. And I also didn''t had the heart to tell him to go.
