Rebirth in 1986: Unforgettable Regrets
Chapter 407: Going Together
CHAPTER 407: CHAPTER 407: GOING TOGETHER
Tang Yue was still very satisfied with this outfit. The second one was a pair of dungarees with a white T-shirt; just right in line with Yu Zhaodi’s usual casual and simple style.
Both outfits were in extremely simple styles that Tang Yue designed; she was just worried that Yu Zhaodi might not like them.
Inside the fitting room, it was spacious and comfortable. In the bright room, there was even a full-length mirror. Many clothes were placed in the room, and Yu Zhaodi, holding the clothes in front of the mirror, couldn’t help but be dazzled by her reflection with braided pigtails.
"Zhaodi, are you done yet?" Tang Yue’s voice came from outside the room.
Yu Zhaodi had been inside for a while, so Tang Yue and Zhang Tingyu urged her. Zhang Tingyu said, "Zhaodi, you better not waste Xiao Yue’s hard work."
Zhang Tingyu started trying on the cheongsam that Tang Yue had made for her. Although it was still a bit cold in the room, the chill was nothing to her.
Zhang Tingyu in the cheongsam further accentuated her classical and gentle charm, and she looked at herself in the mirror with joyful laughter.
"Not bad." Tang Yue praised the cheongsam, smiling as she looked at the alterations she had made around the waist, the placement and size of the patterns, and the colors, which were all specially changed to suit Zhang Tingyu’s skin and beauty.
"Xiao Yue, I love you to death," Zhang Tingyu said, hugging Tang Yue happily, wishing she could wear it straight away.
Tang Yue chuckled, and the two messed around for a while before Yu Zhaodi, who had been dawdling, finally came out. The new clothes had transformed Yu Zhaodi, making her look bright and youthful. Even her big braids didn’t seem so ugly anymore and instead carried a literary quality.
If only her fringe could be trimmed a bit more, it would be perfect.
Tang Yue thought to herself, very satisfied with her design, and said, "Zhaodi, there’s one more set. Try it on."
Yu Zhaodi carefully went back. Seeing her never-before-seen beauty in the mirror, she couldn’t help but smile broadly. She tried on the other outfit, which also suited her well. The simple and elegant design was exactly her favorite type.
Changing clothes seemed to make her look even more beautiful, to the point where she hardly recognized herself.
"Beautiful," Zhang Tingyu said earnestly. She then strutted in catwalk style, turning around in front of Yu Zhaodi and asked, "What do you think, does my dress look good?"
The cheongsam outlined Zhang Tingyu’s exquisite figure, exceptionally attractive.
Yu Zhaodi nodded repeatedly.
Zhang Tingyu said happily, "I think so too."
Yu Zhaodi originally didn’t plan to keep the clothes, but Tang Yue talked her into complete agreement.
"Xiao Yue, I really can’t thank you enough; I don’t even know what to say," Yu Zhaodi said as she carried the clothes, feeling somewhat uneasy. She had just brought some local specialties for Tang Yue, yet Tang Yue had given her two outfits.
"Don’t be polite, if you really feel bad, you can treat me and Tingyu to a spicy boiled dish," Tang Yue said deliberately.
Near Jinghua University, there’s a food street with the spicy boiled dish, and the price is very attractive.
Zhang Tingyu nodded excitedly, "That’s a deal, I feel like it’s been a long time since I’ve had the spicy boiled dish."
"Great, so, why not go now instead of picking another day?" Yu Zhaodi suggested.
Zhang Tingyu and Tang Yue exchanged a glance, and half an hour later, the three of them arrived at the restaurant serving Sichuan boiled dishes.
Various kinds of dishes with reasonable prices and tasty flavors, they would occasionally come here to satiate their cravings. When they had ample time, they would cook at home, which was even cleaner and more delicious.
However, Yu Zhaodi’s family wasn’t very well-off and she disliked owing favors. If they didn’t let her do something, she probably wouldn’t feel good about it, so this place, with its good quality and cheap prices, was chosen.
"Are you guys okay with this food?" Yu Zhaodi asked them as soon as they entered the restaurant. They seemed to become the center of attention, their outfits looked a bit out of place for this humble establishment.
"We’re fine with it." As soon as Tang Yue and Zhang Tingyu entered the restaurant, they started picking the ingredients they liked to eat, looking like regular customers.
Yu Zhaodi also felt a bit more at ease quietly.
Even though many people wanted to come over and greet them, the place was not very large, so most just gave them a few more glances.
Tang Yue and Zhang Tingyu were already used to such attention.
After this meal, the three seemed to have become much closer. Although Yu Zhaodi didn’t spend every day with them, she would join them for a meal every now and then or have a chat together. Her visits to the studio also became more frequent.
Taking advantage of her free time, Tang Yue specifically went to pick up the photos. Upon seeing the photo of herself smiling foolishly and of Si Yu, joy named happiness bubbled incessantly from the bottom of her heart.
"That’s great." Tang Yue treasured the photos like a collection, especially those meant for marriage registration. She admired them over and over again, keeping one for herself and preparing to take another one to the transportation team over the weekend.
"Why are you smiling so foolishly by yourself?" Qin Anyu saw Tang Yue holding something and smiling like a fool as soon as she came back.
"It’s nothing." Tang Yue was too embarrassed to show the photos.
Qin Anyu was quick both in sight and action, without asking, she directly snatched it. When the photo was revealed in Qin Anyu’s hands, she clicked her tongue and said, "Not bad at all, looks like someone’s got lovesickness."
"Sister An Yu." Tang Yue felt both embarrassed and annoyed. Her eyes darted around before asking, "How are things going with you and Chu Hong? You haven’t been staying in the alley recently, don’t tell me you’ve moved in with him?"
"Xiao Yueyue!" Qin Anyu flared up as soon as Chu Hong’s name was mentioned.
"Give it back." Tang Yue snatched the photo from her hands, put it back properly, and then looked at the one Qin Anyu had taken. It happened to be her favorite photo, where the two of them stared into each other’s eyes. Even through the photo, one could feel the affection between them.
She thought this photo was the most meaningful.
She wanted to admire it some more, but Qin Anyu had caught a good glimpse of it.
"Stingy." Qin Anyu sat down on a couch beside them, huffing, "Don’t you dare mention Chu Hong to me next time."
"What happened, he’s deeply in love with you, or did you two make some new progress?" Tang Yue gossiped as she looked at Qin Anyu.
Qin Anyu said annoyedly, "What deep love, what progress, I’ve almost been annoyed to death by him recently."
Ever since they accidentally shared a room that one time, Chu Hong has been like unshakeable bubble gum. This caused her to head straight home from the shop, avoiding the alley where Chu Hong would corner her.
