Chapter 280: The Might of the Fox Spirit
CHAPTER 280: CHAPTER 280: THE MIGHT OF THE FOX SPIRIT
The two bodyguards were about to grab Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang when a gust of wind suddenly struck, forcing them to halt and turn to face Jiang Xue in combat.
Jiang Xue moved with incredible speed and force. The bodyguards were taken by surprise, their initial underestimation quickly turning into full focus on the battle.
Facing two opponents, Jiang Xue initially struggled but gradually found her rhythm. Ah Yong, watching from the side, thought if this went on, the bodyguards would suffer. So, he decided to take advantage of Jiang Xue being preoccupied by the bodyguards to first subdue Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang.
As long as those two were in his hands, Jiang Xue would have no choice but to surrender. With this thought, Ah Yong quietly moved towards the Jiang Family Parents.
The Jiang Family Parents were fully engrossed in watching Jiang Xue’s fight with the bodyguards, their hearts in their throats, paying no mind to anyone else.
Just as Ah Yong was about to reach them, as the two were on the verge of falling into his hands, a dark shadow fell from the sky, suddenly appearing in front of Ah Yong and slapped him fiercely.
With that slap, Ah Yong was sent flying. He couldn’t even see who hit him. Neither could Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang.
Because, after sending Ah Yong flying to the ground, the shadow disappeared just as suddenly.
Ah Yong looked around after raising his head but found nothing, feeling a chill rising in his heart, thinking he had encountered a ghost, fear overwhelming him.
They would never have thought that the one who intervened was Little Fox. Little Fox had been playing with Little Reunion inside the house, but through Divine Sense, it had a clear view of the situation outside. This allowed it to intervene just as Ah Yong was about to target the Jiang Family Parents.
Little Fox intervened without holding back, sending Ah Yong flying and leaving him on the ground unable to get up for some time.
Ah Yong wanted to get up, but any movement caused him pain. Thus, he could only lie there, pinning his hopes on the two bodyguards, hoping they could take down Jiang Xue.
However, his hopes were quickly dashed. In no time at all, Jiang Xue had knocked both burly bodyguards to the ground with a punch each.
Looking at the three men sprawled on the ground, Jiang Xue stepped forward, towering over them, and said coldly, "Get lost!"
The three glanced at Jiang Xue and dragged themselves up, nursing their wounds. Compared to Ah Yong, the bodyguards’ injuries were much lighter. So, after getting up, they directly helped Ah Yong away.
Before leaving, Ah Yong shot a deep glare at Jiang Xue, harboring deep resentment. He had thought such a powerless village girl would be easy to deal with but didn’t expect to hit a brick wall; she was amazingly formidable.
Watching Ah Yong and the others leave, Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang finally snapped back to reality, and then looked at Jiang Xue and asked, "Xue’er, are you alright?"
"Dad, Mom, you were frightened. I’m fine!" Jiang Xue looked at her parents apologetically, filled with guilt. It was her fault for not dealing with Ah Yong’s matter in time, causing her parents to be scared again.
"We’re fine, but what about you, are you hurt?" Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang shook their heads, worried about Jiang Xue fighting two opponents alone.
"I’m not hurt." Jiang Xue smiled and then said to the elder couple, "Dad, Mom, if I’m not home in the future, please don’t open the door easily."
Honestly, she was very worried about the elders.
"Alright, we’ll do as you say." Father Jiang nodded, agreeing not to open the door if it would ease their daughter’s mind. After all, they didn’t have much to do and staying home was just the same.
