Rebirth in the 90s: Melting My Devoted Mr. Iceberg
Chapter 294: Qian Cheng Cooks
CHAPTER 294: CHAPTER 294: QIAN CHENG COOKS
"Oh no, the dish is burnt!" Jiang Xue shouted, then quickly returned to the stove and began stirring. While stirring, she didn’t forget to shoot a few glares at Mu Qiancheng.
Watching Jiang Xue in this adorable state, Mu Qiancheng couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
"You’re still laughing, it’s all your fault, the dish is burnt because of you."
"I’m sorry, Xue’er, my bad. I’ll eat the burnt dish later." Mu Qiancheng said apologetically, then carrying the child, he walked into the kitchen. Looking at the slightly burnt dish, there was a trace of amusement on his face.
The dish was only a bit burnt, but it was still edible.
"It’s all your fault!" Jiang Xue grumbled, glaring at Mu Qiancheng again, then proceeded to plate the dish.
"Yes, wife, it’s my fault!" Mu Qiancheng admitted readily, then seeing there were a few more dishes Jiang Xue hadn’t cooked yet, he said, "Wife, do you want me to help you?"
"You help me? What can you do?"
"I can cook!"
"You can cook?" Jiang Xue was somewhat skeptical. She knew Mu Qiancheng could make porridge and noodles, but she was doubtful when it came to stir-frying. After all, Mu Qiancheng had never cooked in front of her before.
"What, you don’t believe me?" Mu Qiancheng raised an eyebrow and then glanced at the child in his arms, "You hold the child, and I’ll show off my skills."
"Are you sure?" Jiang Xue was still a bit doubtful, worrying that Mu Qiancheng might ruin the dish, making it inedible.
"Don’t worry, I won’t embarrass you." Mu Qiancheng said while handing the child over to Jiang Xue. When he was in Shenzhen, he used to cook for himself whenever he had the time. So cooking was not really a challenge for him, and his skills were decent.
It’s just that he had never had the chance to show off his skills in front of Jiang Xue. Today, the opportunity was rare; he had to show his little wife his skills to avoid being underestimated in the future.
Jiang Xue gave Mu Qiancheng a deep look and then took over Little Reunion.
"Wife, watch carefully!" Mu Qiancheng said as he started to cook. Truth be told, Mu Qiancheng’s cooking looked quite proficient, proving he really knew how to stir-fry.
As for the taste, they wouldn’t know until the dish was done.
Mu Qiancheng quickly finished cooking a dish, then turned around and handed a pair of chopsticks to Jiang Xue, letting her taste it.
Jiang Xue, holding the child, couldn’t manage to pick up the food, so Mu Qiancheng directly fed her a bite with the chopsticks.
The taste wasn’t bad; although not as good as her own cooking, it was still better than an average person’s.
"Not bad!" Jiang Xue smiled and complimented, then seeing him ready to cook another dish, she quickly said, "I’ll do the rest. Mr. Mu is here today; I’ll do the cooking. As for your cooking skills, let’s save them for when it’s just the two of us eating next time."
When Jiang Xue mentioned it, Mu Qiancheng remembered there were guests outside. Originally, he didn’t want Jiang Xue to work so hard and wanted her to take a break, which is why he volunteered to cook.
But with guests over now, Jiang Xue would have to endure a bit more work. Mu Qiancheng knew his cooking skills weren’t impressive; they were passable for personal meals, but not quite suitable for hosting guests.
Of course, it was different in the military. When it came to big pot meals, even if his cooking wasn’t the best, it was still better. Many times, the comrades liked to buy good ingredients and have him cook.
"Thank you for your hard work!"
After saying that, Mu Qiancheng took Little Reunion back into his arms and carried him out of the kitchen.
