Rebirth in the 90s: Melting My Devoted Mr. Iceberg
Chapter 52: None of Your Business
CHAPTER 52: CHAPTER 52: NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS
"You?" Zhuoyue looked at Jiang Xue, too angry to speak.
After a while, he finally said again, "Jiang Xue, I don’t care what’s going on between you and Cheng Li, but you have to apologize to her, or I won’t let you off."
"Zhuoyue, aren’t you meddling too much? What is Cheng Li to you, and what right do you have to interfere in our affairs?"
"It’s none of your business."
"Of course, it’s none of my business, but you have no business in what goes on between me and her either."
With that, Jiang Xue ignored Zhuoyue and turned to leave. Watching her go, Zhuoyue was furious and wanted to chase after her, but was blocked by Mu Siwu.
"Uncle Mu?" Zhuoyue’s face darkened as he looked at Mu Siwu standing in his way.
"Leave, and don’t come to my house again. You’re not welcome here." Mu Siwu said coldly, showing no kindness to Zhuoyue.
Even though he watched Zhuoyue grow up, and despite Jiang Xue being very disliked before, Jiang Xue is a member of the Mu Family. Zhuoyue came to bully someone from the Mu Family; he couldn’t possibly tolerate that.
"Leave, leave, leave, you’re not welcome here." Bai Yuhua also spoke up, joining Mu Siwu in pushing Zhuoyue towards the door.
"Jiang, Jiang Xue, stop right there. You don’t have the courage to stand up for yourself and let two elders stand up for you, what is that about?"
"Jiang Xue, I haven’t finished speaking yet. You haven’t promised to apologize to Cheng Li."
Zhuoyue shouted loudly as he was pushed by the two elders of the Mu Family, thinking that with Jiang Xue’s temperament, she would surely want to argue with him.
However, he was wrong. Jiang Xue seemed as if she didn’t hear him, and directly went back to her room.
Seeing Jiang Xue ignore him, Zhuoyue was extremely frustrated. He wanted to enter the Mu Family house again, but Bai Yuhua and Mu Siwu blocked the doorway, preventing him from entering at all.
At this time, Zhuoyue’s father returned. Seeing his son standing at the Mu Family’s door, with the faces of the two elders of the Mu Family looking displeased, he couldn’t help but walk over and ask, "What’s going on?"
Hearing his father’s voice, Zhuoyue quickly snapped back to his senses and replied quickly, "Nothing, nothing."
"Dad, why are you back?"
However, Mr. Zhuo ignored his son and fixed his gaze on Mu Siwu. But Mu Siwu only stared back at him without speaking.
Mr. Zhuo had no choice but to turn his gaze to Bai Yuhua and ask, "Sister-in-law, what happened here?"
Unlike Mu Siwu, who was angry without saying anything, Bai Yuhua explained the previous events briefly, making Mr. Zhuo’s face darken as he listened.
Upon hearing Bai Yuhua complain to his father, Zhuoyue turned around as if to run. However, Mr. Zhuo was already prepared for this move, and he grabbed Zhuoyue by the collar, asking, "Where do you think you’re going?"
Zhuoyue had no choice but to stand still.
After Mr. Zhuo heard what his son had done, he immediately became furious, glaring at Zhuoyue as he exclaimed, "You little brat, growing bold now, are you?"
"Dad, I’m just feeling for Cheng Li. You have no idea how sadly she cried."
"Feel my foot! What does it have to do with you if she cries or not?" Mr. Zhuo couldn’t restrain himself from bursting out in foul language. His son was good in every way, except that sometimes he was too stubborn.
Everyone said Cheng Li was great, even his wife said so, but he didn’t see it that way. That’s why he never agreed, otherwise, they would have gone to Cheng Li’s house to propose marriage long ago.
"Dad, how could you say that? Cheng Li bottles up her grievances all by herself. If I don’t stand up for her, who will?"
