"Elias Sinclair, you..." Quinn Lockwood looked up, her eyes on the verge of an emotional outburst.

Many things at Cloudfall Group and her studio were still unresolved, and her stomach no longer hurt. She just needed to eat something to ease it. Getting an IV was simply a waste of her time.

But before she could finish her sentence, the man covered her mouth with his hand, and the face of Elias Sinclair drew closer.

"Savannah Lowell, right now the only thing you need to do is rest well." Elias Sinclair didn’t kiss Quinn Lockwood for long; he did it just to stop her from refusing his request.

"Sleep a little more. I’ll wake you when the food arrives, and you don’t need to worry about the studio. I’ll have Cameron contact Sharon Shaw." The man’s hand moved from her cheek to the top of Quinn Lockwood’s head, gently and indulgently ruffling her hair.

"I have very important matters that aren’t resolved; I must personally go back." Quinn Lockwood pressed her lips tightly and directly hit the call button on the bed, seemingly unmoved by Elias Sinclair’s gentle persuasion.

"Savannah Lowell, I advise you not to challenge my limits any further." The man seemed infuriated by Quinn Lockwood’s reaction.

His face darkened to an inky hue, yet he strove to keep his anger in check.

Just as Elias Sinclair was about to say more, the phone in his pocket rang.

The man instinctively furrowed his brow, his eyes filled with even more anger.

Elias Sinclair lowered his eyes slightly, then took out his phone.

"What is it?" Though he deliberately tried to ease his emotions, Elias Sinclair’s voice was still filled with a chilly coldness.

"Elias, Uncle Sinclair and Aunt Sinclair are back. They just got off the plane and want to surprise you!"

"Where are you now? Still with Miss Lowell at the hospital? Can you come to the airport now?"

The sweet and slightly excited voice of Melody Shepherd came from the other side, her happiness evidently discernible from her tone.

"Okay, I understand." Elias Sinclair was slightly startled, a flash of complex emotion in his eyes.

He gave Quinn Lockwood a meaningful look, seeing no other reaction from her, and ended the call.

"You should call Sharon first." Elias Sinclair handed the phone back to Quinn Lockwood, his previously cold tone gaining some warmth.

Quinn Lockwood took the phone, looking at Elias Sinclair with some puzzlement.

Who had just called? What made Elias Sinclair’s mood change so drastically?

Quinn Lockwood found it strange, but she simply messaged Sharon Shaw to check if the game software system’s bugs were resolved and then put away the phone.

"Hmm? Not going to make a call?" Seeing Quinn Lockwood put the phone away, Elias Sinclair’s brow moved slightly, then he sat next to Quinn Lockwood.

"Is there something you want to say?" Quinn Lockwood sensed something was off with Elias Sinclair and half-sat up, leisurely looking at him.

The man’s eyes lowered slightly, and his handsome face remained calm, but his gaze on Quinn Lockwood grew deeper.

"Dad and Mom are back. Let’s go to the airport to pick them up together later."

"What?" Quinn Lockwood sat up instantly upon hearing this, her eyes wide open in obvious surprise.

Elias Sinclair’s parents were actually back, and this was...

This was too... unbelievable and abrupt! She hadn’t prepared at all.

"Hmm?" Elias Sinclair didn’t expect such a big reaction from Quinn Lockwood. In the past, Savannah Lowell had met his parents more than once; before, when she heard they were coming back, she’d eagerly rush to greet them.
