Rebirth of the Movie Queen: Mrs. Sinclair, Please Hug Me!
Chapter 50: Visiting in Person
CHAPTER 50: CHAPTER 50: VISITING IN PERSON
Quinn Lockwood lowered her head and said nonchalantly; she didn’t want Cameron Grant to notice any discrepancies.
Even though she still felt a bit sad inside, she always tried not to appear too fragile in front of her family. However, Cameron Grant’s gentle words of concern and support just now shattered her strong exterior.
"It’s good that everything’s fine."
After speaking, Cameron Grant prepared to leave. He knew Savannah Lowell never liked to listen to others’ opinions, and maybe at this moment, letting her be alone was the best choice.
"Brother!"
Just as Cameron was about to leave, Quinn Lockwood grabbed his sleeve, "Can you stay and talk with me?"
Quinn Lockwood’s hopeful look made Cameron’s heart tremble; it was a look of stubbornness and clarity he had never seen in Savannah before. For a moment, he forgot his own identity and sank into it.
He had never seen her like this, a slight ripple stirred in his heart, but it quickly dissipated, and he recovered swiftly, "Sure."
He pulled a chair over and sat beside Quinn Lockwood, "What’s wrong?"
"I just feel like, am I really that bad? I did so many bad things before, does everyone hate me?"
Quinn Lockwood’s heart suddenly softened, perhaps because she felt a strong sense of familial security from Cameron Grant after her rebirth. That’s why she was willing to open up to him, hoping to see from Cameron’s words what others think of her now, and make changes accordingly.
Upon hearing this, Cameron Grant paused; he had to admit, the previous Savannah Lowell was quite annoying, but the present her felt significantly different.
"No, no one will hate a person forever. You have to be more outstanding, so you won’t be underestimated."
More outstanding, Quinn Lockwood repeated in her mind.
Although she just wanted to see how she appeared in Cameron Grant’s heart, she didn’t expect Cameron to sincerely guide her, which benefited her greatly.
"I understand." Quinn Lockwood nodded.
Cameron Grant didn’t expect Quinn Lockwood to be so obedient, which significantly changed his impression of her.
The two talked pleasantly, and Quinn Lockwood had a good night’s sleep.
The next morning, Quinn Lockwood dressed up carefully to go out. Mrs. Lowell watched her and chuckled, "Can’t wait anymore, huh? Going to find Elias Sinclair?"
Savannah Lowell had never stayed so long at the Lowell Family’s house, so Mrs. Lowell naturally assumed she was going to find Elias Sinclair for some pampering.
Seeing herself misunderstood by Mrs. Lowell, Quinn Lockwood helplessly pouted, "No, I’m going to visit a senior."
She had already thought it through yesterday; as long as there was someone willing to support her, she couldn’t let him down.
Quinn Lockwood squeezed the business card in her hand, her eyes firm.
She wanted to personally visit the renowned performing artist Wendy Sherman and seek advice on some acting techniques.
"Alright, alright." Mrs. Lowell quickly responded, watching Quinn Lockwood with a twinkle in her eye; this child was still as stubborn as ever.
After leaving the Lowell Family’s house, Quinn Lockwood rushed to Wendy Sherman’s home, following the address on the business card.
"Ding dong, ding dong."
Once Quinn Lockwood pressed the doorbell, a servant who looked like a butler immediately appeared.
"Who are you?"
The servant looked at Quinn Lockwood with a face full of confusion.
"Oh, I’m Savannah Lowell, here to visit Mr. Sherman."
Quinn Lockwood immediately replied with a smile, her attitude very sincere.
"Please wait a moment, I will ask the lady for her opinion."
After the servant spoke, he turned and entered the old mansion, and Quinn Lockwood nodded slightly.
After a while, the servant came back out, opened the door, and smiled while gesturing for her to enter, "Miss Lowell, the lady invites you in."
"Alright, thank you."
Quinn Lockwood nodded and followed the servant inside.
"Hello, Mr. Sherman, I’m Savannah Lowell, do you remember me?"
Upon seeing Wendy Sherman, Quinn Lockwood was very excited but still showed a composed side in front of the senior.
"You looked familiar last time, but I just couldn’t recall where I’d seen you; turns out it was on TV."
Upon hearing Quinn’s introduction, Wendy Sherman sized her up and then remembered the previous rear-end incident was with her.
Pausing for a moment, she then advised, "You mustn’t drive recklessly next time."
"Yes, yes, it absolutely won’t happen again. This time, I came specifically to apologize to you."
Quinn Lockwood said as she handed the supplements she brought to the servant, to show her sincerity.
The servant glanced at Wendy Sherman, waiting for her to handle it, and Wendy Sherman waved with a smile, so the servant accepted it.
It’s others’ kindness, after all; rejecting it outright wouldn’t be reasonable.
"I feel like your purpose for coming isn’t just to apologize this time, right?"
Wendy Sherman looked meaningfully at Quinn Lockwood, then slowly walked to the table and poured two cups of tea.
Previously hearing from the news and friends that Savannah Lowell’s reputation wasn’t good, Wendy Sherman never had much affection for her, though she wasn’t necessarily repelled.
Anyway, young actors nowadays, pretty boys, aren’t they just trying to attract attention? So different from how things were in their day when they acted seriously.
It was only yesterday, by chance, that she saw Quinn Lockwood’s video of asking for real hits. Wendy Sherman gradually changed her perception of this girl, and didn’t expect her to visit today.
Upon hearing this, Quinn Lockwood awkwardly scratched her hair, "Mr. Sherman, indeed, you have a keen insight. Actually, this time I came to seek advice from you on some acting issues from back in the day."
Having come this far, Quinn Lockwood felt there was no need to hide anything, after all, her lack of skill was widely known.
"Then why do you think I would teach you?"
Wendy Sherman handed over a cup of tea, gesturing for Quinn Lockwood to sit down and talk.
"Because of this tea." After a few seconds of silence, Quinn Lockwood looked at the tea before her and said.
They say a full cup of alcohol shows respect, a full cup of tea carries disdain.
Yet the cup of tea before her wasn’t filled, indicating the host didn’t intend for her to leave.
Wendy Sherman looked contentedly at Quinn Lockwood; it seemed the person before her was different from the rumors outside.
"Follow me." Wendy Sherman led Quinn Lockwood to a room resembling a practice studio, surrounded by floor-to-ceiling mirrors, making Quinn inwardly excited.
Indeed, Wendy Sherman taught her many acting techniques next.
After hours, Quinn Lockwood gained a lot.
"Mr. Sherman, thank you, it’s getting late, I think I should head back."
Quinn Lockwood checked her watch and found it was almost evening; she thanked Wendy Sherman with a gaze full of gratitude, ready to leave.
"Alright."
Wendy Sherman smiled, escorting Quinn Lockwood to the door.
Quinn Lockwood had a very earnest attitude, absorbing what she taught over several hours quickly, which pleased her greatly.
"Um, Mr. Sherman, can I come back in the future?"
Quinn Lockwood turned back at the door; she really didn’t want to miss such a great learning opportunity, especially as Wendy Sherman was discreet and gentle, which she liked a lot.
"Of course."
Wendy Sherman nodded with a smile.
