CHAPTER 143: CHAPTER 24: PAINFUL AWAKENING
The guy who writes went camping on a deserted island, and if nothing like typhoons, tsunamis, or missing the car happens, he’ll be back on Tuesday night. Happy holidays to all the kids, eat more fruits, remember to go out in the sun when you can, and get some exercise~

Hang Yishao supported Fei Qing as they got off the yacht; it was already daylight. After a sleepless night, he staggered down the gangway, unable to steady his own feet.
Once Hang Yishao found his footing, Fei Qing on his shoulder continued to moan and babble drunkenly. He didn’t look back but could feel a gaze like that of a wild beast fixated on them from behind.
A strong sense of defeat, that same intense feeling of defeat, Hang Yishao really didn’t like it. But the people he’d recently met and the events that had transpired always managed to evoke this damned sentiment.
"Ah Qing," Hang Yishao placed Fei Qing in the car and urgently patted his cheeks.
After a few slaps, Fei Qing groggily woke up. "It hurts, my head is killing me." Mr. Fei finally recovered from last night’s alcohol and drugs, and upon seeing Hang Yishao’s anxious face, he said, confused, "What’s with that look in your eyes, as if you’ve seen a ghost? Those drugs are no big deal, Shang Yin said they’re not addictive." After speaking, Fei Qing smacked his lips as if thirsting for more, "It’s a pity, you didn’t take a sniff. That feeling, I really can’t describe it."
"We can’t get involved with Shang Yin anymore," Hang Yishao started the engine; only once seated inside the car did he feel free from the oppressive aura that Shang Yin brought with him.
"What, you gotta be joking, didn’t you see the chicks around him, and his booze, even my old man said Shang Yin’s the real nouveau riche. Did you see his cars? They’re all top-notch sports cars, our Ferrari, in his eyes, is probably no better than a tractor." Fei Qing ran his fingers through his hair, which felt greasy after a night of revelry.
"Then get the hell off my tractor," Hang Yishao said without a hint of jest; he could feel that Shang Yin was a criminal, and the Hang Family’s wealth was relatively clean, not to be smeared by someone like Shang Yin.
"Don’t take your temper out on me, okay? Is it just because Su Ziceng gave you the cold shoulder for a month or so? Is it really worth it? Besides, even Su Ziceng has gotten involved with Shang Yin, and who knows, maybe that car accident last time was..." Fei Qing really knew how to touch on sensitive issues.
"Do you want me to kick you out, or will you get off on your own?" Hang Yishao’s tone was beyond mere anger.
"Alright, alright, my mouth’s the problem, you’re the good student, the good son, the good lover; I’ll get off, okay?" Fei Qing found the car door and stumbled out.
The yellow Ferrari turned into a streak of light, leaving Fei Qing in a swirl of snow.
"Damn it, the kid’s possessed. If you like her, just say it! Even Su Ziceng’s clearer on this than you. It’s just a matter of admitting you like her. I wonder how long you can hold out," Fei Qing only knew that Hang Yishao was somewhat dissatisfied with the revenge Su Ziceng took on Deng Jiani, but he didn’t realize that Chang’s mother and daughter had also interfered.
On the empty dock, Shang Yin’s yacht was long gone, and a biting sea breeze brought a bone-chilling cold. Having finished his cursing, Fei Qing suddenly came back to his senses, realizing it was only six in the morning, and he was stranded, far from any village. He bellowed, "Come back, my car keys are in your car."
The continuous snowy weather cooled the friendship and love between some people to freezing point. Approaching the start of the term, Su Ziceng still refrained from contacting Hang Yishao.
At the dining table, apart from Chang Chi, who looked somewhat complacent, the other two women’s faces were clouded with gloom. "I’m meeting friends," on the last day before the school term, Chang Chi, as usual, got up after finishing her meal.
"Mhm," Chang Mei lately had no interest in meddling with Chang Chi, her face sullen.
The conflict between Su Qingzhang and Chang Mei, which had started at the end of the year, continued unabated into the present, showing no signs of improvement. Su Ziceng, who had overheard part of their argument that day and had later probed Su Qingzhang, got no direct answers; he was clearly hiding something.
The argument from that day, which made Su Ziceng pay close attention, mentioned a "woman"; could it be referring to Yan Wuxu?
Chang Chi hummed a tune as she came down from upstairs, having changed her clothes.
"Different, not just Chang Mei, even Chang Chi seems different," in Su Ziceng’s memory, Chang Chi was always clad in gray-toned clothes, sporting a bob-cut hairdo, but after entering Daquan University, she started growing her hair long. Changing into various fashion styles, she too, like the once Su Ziceng, became obsessed with shopping.
