CHAPTER 354: CHAPTER 164: STARRY SKY ON A SNOWY NIGHT

The color of the Snow Bear was almost indistinguishable from the packed snow, and Olson ordered everyone out of the car except for Wen Maixue.

At this moment, although he was eager to show off in front of Wen Maixue, he still knew that chasing an injured adult bear with a woman who had no self-defense capability was a very dangerous thing.

However, after walking all night, they only discovered some frozen bloodstains but found no trace of the bear.

When they returned to where the off-road vehicle was parked, Wen Maixue was still waiting there; it seemed as if she had not gone anywhere. The exhausted father and son of the Olson family failed to notice the change in Wen Maixue’s eyes. She had removed the purple veil she used to shield herself from the wind and snow, and her face was beaming with renewed vitality.

In pursuit of this elusive bear, Olson was fully determined. He commanded two hunters to drive to the holiday cabin to transport sufficient supplies, warm tents, and snow gear. He decided that he would search the nearby area for that damned bear every single day.

This was a businessman’s unique obsession.

At night, Olson hugged Wen Maixue and slept soundly, snoring heavily. Even though they had a tent, the cold snow outside and the continuous travel of recent days significantly reduced Olson’s "sexual desire". Late into the night, Olson felt a chill behind him. He barely opened his eyes and found Wen Maixue beside him was gone, and the tent, which had been sealed before they slept, now had an opening pulled aside.

Olson immediately sat up; his first thought was that Wen Maixue had run away. He then denied his own thought, Wen Maixue was not like Ye Taina, she was a woman who "knew the bigger picture". She had given up a perfect opportunity to escape before, so how could she choose to flee on such a night? It was probably just a quick step outside. Olson curled up, feeling somewhat too lazy to care about Wen Maixue’s well-being in this weather...

A gust of cold wind blew through the opening of the tent, and just as Olson was about to hide his head and sleep again, a woman’s moan came from outside the tent. It was a subdued voice, but filled with excitement.

The drowsiness disappeared instantly from Olson. Could it be that some reckless "Hunter" had brought a prostitute from the foothills up here? Olson cursed the weaklings who had been limp-legged during the day. He intended to close the opening of the tent, but the woman’s moaning got louder, and the voice sounded very familiar.

It was like Wen Maixue’s voice; Olson’s body was no longer cold. He felt for his clothes and the hunting rifle beneath his arm before crawling out of the tent.

Outside of a campfire upfront, the entire campsite was pitch-dark; Olson crossed the site with a stern face.

The intermittent sounds continued; Wen Maixue had never been like this beneath him. Olson unlocked the safety on his hunting rifle; he wanted to blow away the man with Wen Maixue, no matter who he was.

On the outermost edge of the campsite, right beside the bear trap, there sat a Land Rover with two figures steaming up inside. Wen Maixue’s upper body was naked, her breast contours faintly visible against the car window. Her long hair cascaded down, seemingly oblivious to the menacing eyes outside.

On her shoulder, the man’s head was gradually moving; his hair hung down, his prominent nose rested on Wen Maixue’s delicate neck, and his eyes glinted by the campfire light as if shining.

The hunting rifle was in Olson’s hands; he glared viciously at the intertwined man and woman through the window, just as his finger was about to pull the trigger, he froze.

The man’s face appeared in the misted car window, his golden hair and blue eyes unmistakable—it was Orleans.

Pello’s breathing stopped, he watched incredulously as the man and woman in the car window. The shotgun felt as if it weighed a thousand pounds, rendering his arms impossible to control.

How foolish. In this camp, aside from his precious son Orleans, who else would dare touch Pello’s woman?

Kill him, kill Wen Maixue, or kill this pair of adulterers? Pello’s rage told him he must drag both people out of the car and throw them into a bear trap. Then shoot them indiscriminately. But reason told him he couldn’t do that.

Orleans was his only heir. The future of the Olsen family depended entirely on him. Pello was past his prime; it was no longer possible for him to cultivate another successor.

And Wen Maixue, though unfaithful, even Pello had to admit she was a woman who could support Orleans.

Eventually, Pello’s arms dropped, he walked with heavy steps, like a wounded "Snow Bear", dragging his shotgun towards his aging tent, without the courage to look back. He feared that a closer look would make him unable to resist killing his "own son".

After Pello turned and left, the movement inside the off-road vehicle also stopped immediately. "Orleans", who had been intimate just before, let go of Wen Maixue.

Wen Maixue’s face still carried the redness of someone stroked with affection, her eyes full of passion, her hands still caressing "Orleans", wanting to continue their act.

"Pello, what’s wrong?" Wen Maixue knew they were pretending, but the moment she found out today that her "beloved" was still alive, she decided to turn the act into reality.

"He’s gone," Pello, masquerading as "Orleans," wrapped a coat around Wen Maixue as he pulled off the wig on his head. He and Orleans naturally bore some resemblance; after several days of hardship, he looked rougher than before. Coupled with the golden wig and the mist from the car’s air-conditioning, it was enough to make Pello mistake him for his son Orleans.

Orleans did indeed come to find Wen Maixue that evening, fearing an encounter with an injured bear, he wanted to convince Wen Maixue to flee with him in the car. But after taking the sleeping pills Wen Maixue gave him, he fell asleep.

"Pello," Wen Maixue suddenly reached under Pello’s body, her eyes filled with intoxication, her hands actively moving. Pello froze, he was a normal man, and the Wen Maixue before him was nearly impeccable.

When they were intimate, it was always harmonious. A response awoke in him, Wen Maixue pulled down Pello’s pants and pressed against him. The man was back, and only by possessing him again could she feel warmth, even amidst the icy snowfields.

At midnight, the clock chimed. Su Zi touched her eyes and unwrapped the bandages that had covered them for days, opening her eyes. Out of habit, she looked outside the window, but sadly, the first thing she saw with her restored sight was the sky full of stars. (To be continued.
