CHAPTER 464: CHAPTER 193: THE DEATH OF HANG YISHAO (2)

Su Ziceng looked at the Yellow Love necklace, wondering if it was really fated. In her past life, she and Yellow Love had just missed each other, but now, it had returned.

"Turn around, I’ll put it on for you," Hang Yishao pleaded.

Listening to the familiar voice begging, Su Ziceng couldn’t help but soften her heart; she had been quite cruel to him tonight.

She turned around, her back facing Hang Yishao, and her slightly disheveled hair was brushed aside by Hang Yishao, revealing her delicate shoulders and neck.

The night was intoxicating, and both Pello and Hang Yishao were captivated by the silhouette of Su Ziceng’s back.

The necklace was unclasped, and as Hang Yishao looped the necklace around Su Ziceng’s neck, his movements were gentle and his gaze serene.

After the necklace was secured, Su Ziceng was about to turn around when the hands that had been resting on her shoulders stopped her motion. Hang Yishao pressed close to her ear and asked again, "Ziceng, you’ve already accepted my proposal."

The necklace symbolized his proposal. If she wore it, it meant she would marry him, didn’t it?

"Yishao, you..." She was pushed to the ground, and the wound on her foot hurt even more.

Surrounded by darkness, she could hear Hang Yishao’s hurried breathing and the hands groping over her body.

"No," Su Ziceng felt her clothes being tugged open, exposing her to the air, Hang Yishao’s eyes shimmering in the night, the previous calm replaced by obstinacy.

Her hands were pinned to the ground, the man’s full weight pressed upon her, and her screams were quickly devoured by the dense forest of Lancang Mountain.

In the clearing, the woman’s body folded into a figure against the dark night.

Hang Yishao pleaded in a low voice, "Ziceng, don’t blame me, I can’t allow you to leave me for another man. I’ll treat you well, for a lifetime."

Su Ziceng cried out, her tender skin scratched by the dry earth around her, creating wounds. She had never imagined that things would turn out this way.

With a loud "bang," Su Ziceng’s crying ceased amidst Hang Yishao’s sudden fall.

"Ziceng, I love you," Hang Yishao said, biting his tongue as he uttered the word "love," dragging it out like the groaning of a cello, its strings abruptly snapping.

Something was blocking his throat; was it death? The gunshot wound in his chest, oozing blood, felt as if the coldness of death had departed. As his body fell, he tried to shift to avoid scaring Ziceng.

But his body had lost touch with his consciousness, and he fell heavily, like a bird with broken wings. In the moment he fell, Hang Yishao could feel Su Ziceng’s trembling body, warm and safe.

If only he could be with her for all eternity, but unfortunately, he always brought her tears.

Blood dripped onto Su Ziceng’s face, her mind clouded with red. Hang Yishao’s eyes were still wide open as his hand naturally settled on her waist in his fall, as if holding her tight.

Something in her heart shattered, and endless darkness enveloped her.

Pello stepped out from the ferns, looking at the unconscious Su Ziceng and the lifeless Hang Yishao.

He bent down, trying to move Hang Yishao, but Hang Yishao’s body was clinging to Su Ziceng’s, as if they were stuck together. The nearly naked Su Ziceng beneath him reignited Pello’s rage, and for a moment, he was tempted to fire another shot into the corpse.

The shot straight through the heart was enough to be fatal. As he watched the blood steadily flowing over Su Ziceng’s body, Pello’s displeasure intensified. He felt a sense of their blood mingling. Since when did his woman become someone else’s to touch?

"Pello," Shang Yin hurried up the mountain path and fell silent upon seeing the scene, "You really did kill him."

Seeing that dawn was near, Shang Yin had turned back to look for others and had come upon hearing the gunshot.

Shang Yin seized the gun from Pello’s hand, intending to fire one more shot at Su Ziceng.

"What are you doing?" Pello immediately snatched back the gun, blocking the two behind him.

"Are you stupid? With the man dead, the woman must die even more. Once I take care of Chang Chi, I won’t have any troubles," Shang Yin was saying when he noticed the change in Pello’s expression.
